HT204387 Which (future) mobile IOS version contains ugrades to the (HID) profile?

When is the (HID) profile updates due for the next implementation since bluetooth functionality is currently restricted to keyboards.  Is there a time-line projected for Production, I assume this is still in UAT or early beta.

We are all fellow users here and have no information as to what Apple may do in the future and when they might do it. We'll just have to wait and see.

  • Which iOS version is running on the iPhone 4s 8 GB 2014 version?

    Hey !
I just wanna know which iOS version is preinstalled on the iPhone 4s 8GB they selling since this year.
    Much thanks !

You are never forced to update. You would just need to live with whatever version was on it. However, I'd recommend against the 4S. 8gigs is not enough memory for most people. It's rarely a good idea to buy tech that's already been discontinued by the manufacturer.

Use iPhone as designed. Like any digital camera, download your photos to your computer and delete from the iPhone to create space required for iOS upgrade.

  • When will apple sort out the scrolling issues on iOS versions of iTunes and the App Store?

When will apple sort out the scrolling issues on iOS versions of iTunes and the App Store?
It seems impossible to get the horizontal scrolling to work smoothly and in a way that doesn't result in some albums/apps in the row being skipped.

Working fine for me. Have tried resetting or restoring?

  • HT3939 how can i know the ios version with out activate the divice?

hi, my iphone 4 was locked with ktf korea, and i made the payment for unlocking the phone through internet one month ago,
but i am not able to do the second step which provided by the unlocking site, i don't know which ios is running in it ,
can i get it with out activate the phone....

Are you able to access the home screen? With the app that looks like a cog, it's the settings app, then you scroll a little way down to General, then the first thing you should see is "About", hit that, scroll down until you see "Version", that is your iOS that your phone is currently running. OR go to Settings > General > Software Update> and it'll tell you there too. OR try plugging your phone into your computer via 30 pin/usb cord. I'm assuming you already have an iTunes account with a current iTunes I.D. and passcode, once you plug it in and iTunes recognizes the device, in the top right it will say "iPhone" and this little bar that says that will have a spinning icon while it is synced to iTunes, click it and in the banner at the top of iTunes will say what version of iTunes the iPhone 4 has.

  • I've just bought an iPad2 which requires a newer version of iTunes than the one I currently have on my 6 year old macbook. How can I get my old itune to my ipad?

I bought my macbook about 6 years ago and I also have a first generation iPod Touch. The version of iTunes I have on my macbook is out of date for the iPad2 I just purchased. What is the easiest way i can get my iTunes upgraded so that I can connect my iPad2 to it? Is it by upgrading my OS?

Yes. Check what version of OS X you have by going to your Apple menu (top left) and clicking About This Mac. It'll likely be 10.4 or 10.5, something like that. It's good to update your profile here on the Communities, too (you've specified 10.0.x, which is archaic in OS X terms).
If your MB is 6 years old, it's probably too old for Lion, but may be able to run Snow Leopard.

  • Will there be another iOS version that will fix the iOS 5.0.1 problems ?

I accidentally updated my iPod Touch 4G from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS 5.0.1 and I want to know if there will be a newest version of iOS and when ?
Thank you all for answer !

It's always nice when you mark an additional information post as the solution to your problem!
The effect of this is to stop those who might have solutions from even looking at your thread as well as causing others expecting a solution here to waste their time on this thread.
For what it's worth I haven't had any problems with battery life on my iPod 3Gen with iOS 5.0.1. If any thing it's better than previously.
By the way how does one "accidentally" update an iPod Touch to iOS 5.0.1?

  • Wich iOS version does an iPad 2, mini or Retina have if i buy it today?

    Hello,
i updated my iPod touch 5g to iOS 7 but i dont like it. Now im going to buy an iPad (2,3,4 or mini), but wich iOS does it have if i buy it now??
    Please help me.

They are most likely on iOS 6.x.x. That being said, at some point they will come pre-loaded with iOS 7. If you're going to purchase an iPad to get iOS 6 specifically, try and do it locally where you can verify what iOS is on the device in the store (Best Buy should let you do this).
Beware that to reset your device under iOS 6 and *keep it at iOS 6*, you cannot do a restore from iTunes on the PC since it will automatically update it to what Apple is signing as current for the device (which is of course, iOS 7.x.x). To restore as new, you need to restore from the iPad itself (actually an erase) under Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Content and Settings. This will retain the iOS version that is on the device.
Another thing is that you won't be able to update to the most recent iOS 6 (iOS 6.1.3) for the iPad. If it came with iOS 6.0, you are stuck at iOS 6.0...anything above that (but of course not including iOS 7) is no longer signed by Apple nor is considered valid for certain devices.
Overall, it may take some work on your part to keep your device at iOS 6.x.x...I have been doing it since iOS 7 was released.
Also be aware that you may get an auto-pushed download for iOS 7
    See:
    http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57604701-37/ios-6-holdouts-complain-about-larg e-unwanted-ios-7-download/
Work-around to keep the update file off of the device (it will otherwise rob you of 3.1 GB of your storage space unless you install it):
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23206279#23206279
If you get the update file auto-pushed to your device and want to remove it:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23291504#23291504
*How to keep the device from auto-downloading the update again, even after it's successfully removed:
In your router's settings, set up a block (using Access Restrictions or similar in the router's web interface) to mesu.apple.com. This will prevent the devices from "phoning home" to Apple, checking for the update and getting the download pushed to it again (it WILL get pushed again to the device, even if you remove it).
In the future to check for updates on the device, simply disable the block created above. Remember to reenable the Access Restriction afterwards.

  • IOS version 6.1.3 Calendar Request Update Issue

I am having a new issue in my environment with IOS devices and Exchange.  We run Exchange 2007 SP3 in a WIndows 2003 Domain.  Our issue involves Calendar requests not being successfully updated.
    Problem Scenario:
I send a meeting request from my iphone (IOS version 6.1.3)
The invitees accept and I get properly notified of their acceptance.
Later, I go to Outlook and modify my meeting request
The invitees get notified of the change but I do not get an updated response from them.
In the calendar entry their response remains the same as their initial response before any changes were made regardless of whether they change their response or not.
Please note that this issue does not exist on any of our other mobile devices i.e Blackberry, windows mobile, android.
Is there a fix for this?

Only the iPod 5th generation can update to iOS 7. If you have an earlier model then you cannot update to iOS 7.

  • Apple Configurator custom iOS version option

As of last week, Apple Configurator custom iOS version option seems to be failing out.Previously we were able to install or upgrade to iOS 8.1.3 instead of iOS 8.2 until we have tested applications to confirm they are working on the latest iOS version. When using the custom iOS version, it fails out during the iOS install issue.
It also appears the iTunes will no longer let a device be restored to the 8.1.3 ipsw either.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

    Dear HyperNova,
Firstly I thank you for your prompt reply to my question. However I do object to your response that you "seriously doubt anyone from Apple would tell me that" - are you seriously questioning my integrity that I would post that if not true! It is no wonder that people shy away from posting on forums when they get that sort of response.
I was advised by the support person I spoke to that it was intended for developer previews but that I could try it for earlier versions of iOS. It may not be a "supported' feature - but I WAS advised by Apple support that I could do this and it worked.

  • Off centered page on iOS devices (aditional space on the right)?

Hello, can someone tell me, what am I doing wrong?
Until now I build two pages with Adobe MUSE, and on both pages the same problem. Looks good on desktop platform, but have a problem in mobile (iOS versions).
    Here is an example:
    - Desktop
    http://mlino-bled.businesscatalyst.com/index.html
    - Mobile
As you can see, in the iOS view I have LARGE border on the right. The main menu is not Aligned to the right side of rhe picture/banner frame, graphic is not resizeing from left to right side. And this problem is puting page off centre.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a BUG?
I have take a look at the muse-themes.com.. and those pages all work fine... Where is the catch!?
    Regards, Matjaz

Just fixed this myself after searching for a while.   All assets must be in the bound box (unless pinned) these assets are in blue dashed outline.   just crop all assets in the white box and you should be set.

Nobody here would have a crystal ball and know what Apple plans on doing in the furture.

I have an iphone 5. I have no idea of the ios version in it. Recently i broke my iphone screen and its showing up nothing. it was never synced to itunes or to any pc. When i tried to connect iphone to itunes in my pc it was asking for passcode which i had forgotten ages ago. Suggest me the possible ways to recover my iphone.

Since the screen doesn't work, it will be challenging to get it working, even thru iTunes. You will need to ask yourself if you want to invest more money in it or get a new one, especially since the contents will be lost since you don't know the passcode. Apple will gladly replace the screen for a cost that represents a significant portion of the price of a new. Once the screen is done, you may or may not be eligible for the free iPhone 5 Battery Replacement Program.
Or, if you decide to salvage it and are strong of heart and firm of hand, you can replace the screen yourself for less. See here and note they carry kits with all needed tools and parts.
