Thanks for your help, unfortunately I have had my share of trouble with the Apple TV 3rd Gen. It was purchased on the 22nd of march 2013, It would not function properly, sometimes wifi would disconnect, it was just not working the way it should. (I know I have an apple tv 2 that has never given me a problem) Went to the apple store, they replaced it. 2 months later with the new device, It was updated and suddenly out of nowhere, it stopped detecting any wifi network. All my other devices including my iphone work perfectly fine with my router. I try connecting the apple tv to my computer to restore since it wasnt possible via wifi, and pc doesnt detect it either. Then I connected it via Ethernet, it was working. Nevertheless my router is in another room so doesnt help much. I took it to the same apple store today, and they said that the old apple tv was sent to apple care and they said it had been manipulated and they could not offer me any service. I have no idea how to even open up an apple tv. So literally they said they could not help me. The device which was exchanged for my unit was also deffective. What options do I have?

Thank you for your swift reply. I don't know that this has helped me, as I've reached my level of tolerance for fooling with this annoying little problem - for today anyway. It has been going on since I "up" graded to Firefox 4. My wife is running 3.6.x on her laptop with none of this foolishness. As BLASPHEMOUS as it may sound, I've gone back to IE for the time being even though I don't like it 1000th as much as I do Firefox.
Not just to rant here, I would say that I found a way to put some buttons on the right side of the toolbar that immediately gave me permission to "back, forward, and reload", but upon closing the browser and going out for dinner with the wife, I find on return that not only are those buttons NOT still on the toolbar, but I can't find them anymore. I think they were in "add-ons" found under I believe Add-On Manager.
I did also manage to achieve back/forward functionality running Firefox in SAFE mode, but this meant no No-Script, among other things, and I've grown too fond of that particular little script to give it up.
I've rebooted, restored, and reinstalled, can't get this formerly completely reliable program to work like it always has. Before looking around on here, I was beginning to think it was my PC.

Actually, there seems to be a bit of a bug. Encountered this with a couple of files my wife made. The files were set to "open with" the new Keynote, but clicking the file brought up this error. Right-clicking and selecting "open with..." worked correctly. I can only assume the OS was attempting to open the file with Keynote '09 despite the file property setting.
Probably requires a Launch Services DB reset (although I haven't actually tried it on my wife's MBA yet...since she's still "working on stuff". So I can't confirm if it will solve the problem).

Looks like instantiation of interfaces; what is it?

Some of the code examples I see look like instantiation of interfaces. But this is not possible. I would like to know what is happening here 'under the hood' and would appreciate it if anyone can shed some light on this.

Have you forgotten your password? - if so, you have a problem if the email address has gone dead.
If you know your password, go to the iTunes Store, click on Account. log in and you can change the associated email address.
If you don't know your password, and have no email address, you are going to have problems because it's difficult to see how Apple are going to identify you as the authorised owner of the account. Contact iTunes Support: go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to either 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options, or you may see a link to email them.

Cconnect it to your computer with the latest version of iTunes installed.

Why is it when I try to re download apps that were previously deleted from my iCloud, the download looks like it is going to start then it stops almost instantly?

OK, so this problem has been going on for quite a few months, and has persisted through several iOS updates:
I deleted both Facebook messenger and Instagram from my iPhone 5s. they have been stored to my iCloud. Now, when I try to re-download just those 2 apps (doesn't happen with any others I have noticed yet), it looks like the download is going to start, but almost immediately switches back to the download from cloud button. I have signed out and back in to my iCloud account and my apple account and neither have worked. A hard reset did not work either. Repeatedly tapping (hey I was frustrated!) did not work either. updating my iOS did not work. It only happens to these 2 seemingly popular, well developed apps. Can anyone provide me a solution? Thanks!

I Also want to try to avoid doing a full reset if possible. Or whatever the process is called that erases all your photos and messages and apps, Etc.

I just downloaded the new 4.0 an now when I click on the tab it won't even load up, it'll look like the page will show up but then it won't an the it'll look like I never even clicked on it. What is going on? Why won't firefox work?

My firefox was working perfectly before when I had the 3.6 but now it just won't load up at ALL! I've dealt with it crashing on me while I was on the internet but I've never clicked on the tab OVER an OVER again an still not even having the home page show up on my screen. The mic on my iPhone4 has just quit also. Similar symptoms to yours in that people I'm talking to hear only static or my voice very faintly. The voice/memo recorder also only really records static.
It happened suddenly and seemed to get better after a day or two but then went completely after another day.
I'm returning it to Vodafone New Zealand shortly but will have to wait 5-10 days for a replacement. There are NO Apple accredited means to speed this procedure up in NZ.
We don't even have a single physical Apple Store where you could walk in and talk to a Genius.

I've tried resetting my phone, looking for the pics in the new 'deleted' folder. I tried forwarding the jpegs to sees if they'll appear in a new message (but turnout the phone won't let me forward these pics). Apple is trying to say it's the 30 day reason, but I know that is not the problem. ALl of my pics older than 30 days were viewable. It is the upgrade that screwed this up. Help! Important pics!

As for iPhoto, it sounds like you were trying to move files around in the library. That is a bib no-no in Aperture or iPhoto.

i went to the library and updated my ipod touch but my coputer at home doesnt have internet but it has the itunes with all my songs on it but when i plug my ipod in it says it doesnt recognize my ipod because the itunes that i have is not the latest version and now i cant get the song that are on my computer onto my ipod is there any way that i can get a flashdrive and put the updated version in there to transfer it to my ipod or is there anyway i can rest my ipod to look like the way i first bought it with the original software

You can uninstall the iTunes software and then reinstall it. Then copy and paste the old library you had to your computer at home. It should sync automatically and should be updated.
