Helo, I need help with iTunes Match.
I signed up for iTunes match.  It did its thing and now it is supposed to have every one of my songs in the cloud.
I checked for Ring my bell (Which I purchase from iTunes) and it is not on my iTunes on my computer anymore?
I did match to give my 4S with limited memory and over 400 songs the ability to put all songs in the cloud, then by connecting to my computer, somehow I can tell my phone to not sync with match, the re sync and all the songs would be deleted from my phone and then I could down load any songs I wanted on my phone, thus giving me a bunch more memory.   I could not figure out how to do this?

You probably won't like this suggestion, but I suggest you reinstall Lion.
First, backup your system. Next, reboot your system, press/hold the COMMAND-R keys to boot into the Recovery HD. Select 'Reinstall Mac OS X'. If you purchased Lion as an upgrade to Snow Leopard, the reinstall process will install Lion 10.7.3. If your system came preinstalled with Lion, you might still get Lion 10.7.2. Both installs are a total install of the OS. None of your apps or data will be impacted. Just the OS.

    It looks like I cannot install anything anymore. Everytime I try to install a new software, I simply get stuck during the installation type process. I put in my password, it does accept it, but it does not go any further.
    I tried to reset the password, put no password, repair the permissions, the disk but nothing will do. I nearly got stuck with the log in screen but finally succeeded in disabling it.
    So I thought I might try to create a new account but I cannot click the lock to make changes. It simply refuses to react.
    I am now thinking about using the migration assistant to save all my settings, data and so fourth, but again I get stuck when I have to type in my password. It accepts it but nothing happens...
    I guess it has something to do with the authorization process, but can't find anything on the internet about it... Can you help me out?
    I am running Lion 10.7.3.

    Need help with my iPhone 5 and my Macbook Pro.  I was purchased some music on itunes at my mac. Some reason I deleted those music from both on Mac and iPhone 5.  Today, I went to my iPhone iTunes store inside of iCloud to redownload my puchased. But those song won't able to sync back to my iTunes library on my Mac.  Can anyone help me with that ??....

    Devices can only sync with one library at a time.  If you sync with a different library it will erase other content and update according to the new library.

    i restored my computer to factory settings and when i did that i lost my itunes and when i reinstalled it and tried to sync my ipod to the new installation of itunes it said that my ipod is synced with another itunes and that to sync it wiht this itunes it would delete and replace all data on my ipod with data from my itunes which is nuthing please help i dont wanna lose all my songs and apps an all that

    You should have created a backup of your Itunes library before your computer restore to factory setting so that you can copy them to your new iTunes.
    Sync is only oneway, from PC to your device. Unless you have the music on your PC, iTunes is going to wipe out what you have on your device if you are syncing to a new library.
    You can only transfer Purchased music over to Itunes on your PC.

    im thinking this is because the main array is has 10 elements with only 4 in use so this is a partial array.
    Example
    the array is { 6, 25, 10, 5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0,}
    after the swap
    {0, 0 , 0 , 0, 0 , 0 , 5 , 10 , 25, 6}
    i need it to be just
    { 5, 10, 25, 6}

    Man, that isn't cool.  Seems like a loop error of some sort.  No matter though, we can circumvent that by contacting iTunes directly through their Support.  You will want to use Express Lane first to contact iTunes Store Support via email or chat (if available).
    You can also call AppleCare (1-800-MYAPPLE) to assist if Express Lane is either down or you do not get a response in 24-48 hours.  Make sure you inform them if you tried to use Express Lane and got no response or if it is down.  They have direct chat access if the need arises.

    I had my iPhone synced to a PC computer and the hard drive crashed. I had an extensive library in iTunes, but none of the music was purchased online so I can't simply download it again. It was all from CD's, many of which belonged to friends. I now have an iMac. The music I like is still on my iPhone, but not on my new iMac. When I try to sync the iPhone with my iMac it wants to delete all the music on my iPhone. Is there any way to copy the music off my iPhone first - so I can add it back into my iTunes library?

  • Need help with merging itunes accounts.

    Hello.  I was wondering if any of you mac experts can help me.  My husband and I recently purchased a new mac and are having trouble figuring out how to merge our information into our computer's itunes.  I set up the computer under my apple ID/email.  However we both have separate apple id's linked with the same bank account information.  The problem is, itunes on our computer isn't recognizing any of the purchases through my husband's apple id, even though they were paid for through the same account.  I haven't been able to figure out whether or not I can add his apple id/email to itunes and merge the two, since a substantial amount of music/apps/etc were purchased under his ID.  Surely it's possible to have more than on apple id on one family's computer?  Anyone know?  Hopefully I worded this clearly enough.  Thanks!

    Open the NetInfo Manager in the /Applications/Utilities/ folder, click the padlock, type in your password, and then locate that account in the list of users. Delete that account and only that account; don't make any other changes. The account's home folder will remain on the drive.

  • Need help with multiple iTunes files

    i had iTunes songs/files on an old pc for years, backed up on an external hard drive.  i then backed up that external drive with another newer external drive and hooked that newer drive to the mac.  i then imported all songs onto the mac iTunes library.
    now when i look at the song list in iTunes on the mac, there are three versions of every song - the first one will play but the next two versions give me the explanation point next to them and say they can't be found.  HOW DO I ELIMINATE THE SECOND AND THIRD COPIES OF EACH SONG THAT CANNOT BE FOUND - TRYING TO CLEAN THINGS UP.

    This technique should help you identify which entries need to be removed.
    Lost & Found Playlists
    Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist (it may take some time to count the tracks that are to be dropped). Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist. Cmd+A should select all and Option-Delete should delete them.
    Or try Super Remove Dead Tracks.

    We just got a new computer and I transferred all of my songs from the old to the new and now when I try to access them in iTunes I get an error message that "it cannot be used because the original file cannot be located" Do I have to put in the DVD with all of the files on it in order to use any of my song?     You haven't told us enough about what you did.
    You need to explain exactly how you did your transfer.
    If you don't care about your ratings and play counts and your really did copy your files across, there is a simple way of getting going again.
    With iTunes closed drag iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.itl out of the iTunes folder to the desk top.
    Start iTunes and you will have an empty library. Now simply add the folder with your music files in it - normally iTunes Music - to iTunes with File>Add folder to library.
    If you didn't copy your files across, try putting the DVD in the drive and opening iTunes - can iTunes find your files now. If so it is a sign you added the files to your library without copying them to your internal HD.

Well i want those songs on my ipod video onto my itunes on my home computer but i cant seem to get them on without over writting the songs on my ipod video with the songs on my itunes already, which i dont want to happen because i dont want to loose any of the songs on my ipod video.     1) go back to your friends house and put all the song files you want into a folder on his computer.
    2) plug in your ipod to his computer and enable disk use.
    3) then open it up from "my computer", you'll see a few folders like "notes", "contacts" etc.
    4) drag and drop the folder you created with all the song files. Don't put this in one of the ipod's pre-made folders.
    5) go home, open your ipod again from disk use and select the folder you made with all the song files. drag and drop this anywhere you want in your computer (I suggest putting it with where you store more music)
    Lastly you need to import these songs, open itunes and select File>Add Folder to Library. you will then select the folder of music from your friends house, wherever you dropped it.
    After you have added the songs to your library you are free to delete ONLY the folder you created in your iPod (with the music files from your friend).
