Just got Itunes Match and I have not been able to complete the process, I have roughly 11,000 songs about 70% are matched, any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

me too! always the same! it' annoying!
Also the fix with the pressed alt doesn't work.
With this error it's not possible to use itunes match!!!

Error -48 EVERY time I start iTunes for Windows

Every time I start iTunes from windows, I get a dialog with this error message:
"The iTunes Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occured (-48)"
That's it. Stupid, uninformative and useless.
I ALWAYS check "do not warn me again" but it ALWAYS warns me next time I open itunes.
It seems that my library is saved because it loads properly next time I start iTunes.
Any ideas?

I recently installed the latest version of iTunes vers. 11.x per the iTunes update process. Afterwards
itune 11 worked ok aside from the totally different startup or Store page looking so different. Later
I tried to burn a disc from my current iTunes Library and found out my CdRom drive had been disabled
due to registry errors during the iTunes update process. The end result was to get my CdRom drive
back in operation, I had to due a System Restore (using Vista home premium) back to a date before
the iTunes update.
It was a successful Restore and my CdRom drive is now working again but iTunes will no longer run
due to missing files not found during attempts to start iTunes. It tells me to reinstall iTunes again.
1. Do I Uninstall the partial copy of iTunes listed on my Program list? (appears to iTunes 10.07.21)
first or just do an install of iTunes 11.x from the Apple iTunes web site?
2. What is the risk of the new iTunes causing Windows registry errors and disabling my CdRom again?
3. What is the risk of other registry errors from the new version of iTunes?

I had the same problem after installing version 11, my CD/DVD drive was disabled/uninstalled completely.
I restored version 10.7 to get my iTunes functionality back using a backup i created before the upgrade.
Unfortunately, not being a PC wiz, I had to contact DELL support to fix the problem as a simple reinstall of the drivers failed to fix the problem. I am fortunate to still have hardware support as the PC is only 7 months old. DELL thankfully were fully aware of the problem and deleted the "Upper & Lower Filters" from my registry ("how to" available from a Google search for anyone confident enough to do this alone).
I still get the request to reinstall iTunes software on starting itunes, but for now I just click OK and move on and iTunes works fine (using version 10.7). I will probably reinstall 10.7 after doing another backup, but for now I don't need to and can do without the added grief.
DELL said this was a common problem that is easily fixed, but as yet are unaware of any further issues.
I have an Dell Inspiron 620, running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS with 6GB Ram

I have completely cleared my library and started again. i have 24000 tracks in library but only 15000 + are uploading. leaving a further 6000 or so with a "waiting" status. i have tried the update itunes match option which runs through the full process and on completion is still leaving the tracks with "waiting" status.
any ideas??

I have the same issue, although I only have about 2500 tracks and half of them are in waiting. I read a few other peoples issues with this problem and checked and found that all the songs (or whatever it is) are not in the folder they were in, in fact they are not on my computer anymore! They are still in the cloud i guess, well the information is, but the songs arent. So now I have to go back and re-import all the CD's that are missing. I did reinstall itunes before this happened which probably had something to do with it, but whenever I tried to update itunes match it would freeze my computer and give me an error. So I reinstalled and now it works but half my music is gone! and alot of it was not on CD, I had gotten online, but when I go to check purchases/downloads available, it says everything that can be has been. It ***** because it takes so long and I know I have lost some of the songs since I got them online and dont have a hard copy. But basically you need to check to make sure the files are in the folder that itunes is looking in, and that they are ON your computer or server. Then re-import if you have to, and update itunes match (if your using) then icloud should recognize. Ill let you know if this works for me since I am in the process of doing just that.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!...i tried everything so far except throwing the ipod at the wall!!...it started when i tried syncing my 64gb 3rd generation iTouch to my iTunes for windws. everything was fine until midway during the sync itsaid (error-54) then everyhing became unresponsive. So i reset it, still nothing. ..then i deleted everything off om my computer (a Compaq Presario CQ 56 with windows 7) i had all content saved already on an external hardrive. i erased ALL photos, ALL music, etc...then i deleted iTunes+ restarted my computer+ ran my antivirus program to make sure my computer was not corrupted..everything's running properly...so i re-installed iTunes and added all the music again onto it, hooked up the newly reset ipod+ the same problem occurred again and AGAIN!! ...so i had to factory restore the ipod as a last ditch effort, tried again and STILL had this problem!!...i looked up any potential similar issues and found out about the "locked songs", but nothing said HOW to fix this problem with iTunes for WINDOWS!..im not on a mac so i cant use the same steps that they used.....SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!...i know the problem+ the solution now,but just not the correct steps to follow for MY situation!!!....anyone with the answer, please tell my how to do it STEP by STEP, i am good with computers, but get lost easily...need a simple solution!!!!

why not just use Skype by itself without the extension. The extension is not needed. What beside being able to dial a number by highlighting text do you gain. Paste the number into Skype. I presume you get the extension directly from Skype and not at add-ons. Looking at some of the extensions that look up phone numbers for use by Skype they are huge extensions and appear to offer very little for their size.

Mail Help has some articles devoted to sending problems, e.g. “I can't send email” or “I can't send email because the connection to the server on port 25 timed out”. You may want to take a look at them in case there is something there that applies to you.
Something that usually works if you’re trying to use an outgoing (SMTP) server different from the one provided by your ISP (and in the case of .Mac in particular) is changing the outgoing server port to 587 instead of 25 in Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Server Settings.

Are you getting the error with any PDF that you open in IE, or just a certain type of PDF? You can you please try the following and let me know if you're seeing the error?
1. Launch Reader;
2. Choose Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced) > uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup";
3. Click on "OK" button;
4. Exit Reader;
5. Launch IE and open the PDF file.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please uninstall Adobe Reader using Adobe's Cleaner Tool. The tool is available at the following link:-
http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
then please re-install Adobe Reader using the full installer from the link mentioned below:
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
In case, you still experience the same issue, then please provide the following information:
