HT204406 iTunes Match not showing up when connect to my vehicle.

I have iTunes match turned on on my iPhone 4S, and the songs show up on my device for the most part, but when I connect my phone to my vehicle via USB, it says there are no songs to display. Is this an iTunes issue that they will address, or is a permanent problem that I will not be allowed to listen to my music via USB connection to my vehicle?

I have the same issue. My home shared library can all be seen on my iPhone or my Apple TV 3rd Gen but not on my ipad. Only some movies and tv shows show up. Also. Many of the TV shows are all mixed up. Episodes shows up in different series and all mix up. All those issues only on the iPad, on other devices, all seems fine.

  • ITunes Match not showing up with parental controls enabled

I have an Apple TV 2nd gen with the 5.0 software update, and am having trouble getting iTunes Match to show up when parental controls are enabled. Even with iTunes Match specifically set to "Show" in the parental controls menu, it won't show up unless I also enable Rentals and Purchases, which I don't want. Any ideas?

I'm stumped, I tried it on my own ATV for a lark and came up with the same result.

  • HT204406 iTunes match not loading on my iPhone 4

i am having a problem with the iTunes match not loading on my iPhone 4, once in iTunes it just shows the iCloud logo, and does not load all my albums/song etc.

I'm guessing you mean the iTunes store.
What specificaly happens when you try to access the store?  Any errors?
What do you mean by full factory reset?  Does that mean a restore as new?
Are you able to access the store via Wi-Fi?

thanks. I followed all the steps but it said that itouch was unable to connect to itunes because a passcode needs to be entered first, but I'm unable to enter the passcode because the itouch is disabled and all I see is the red message Ipod is disabled. How do I get pass this message to where I can access a keypad to enter code? thanks!

  • Organized iPod playlists into folders in iTunes, but not showing up when iPod is disconnected. Please help!

I organized my iPod touch playlists into folders in iTunes on my computer (while my iPod was connected to my computer) but when I disconnect and go to use the iPod separately, the playlists that I organized do not show up in the folders they were put into. They're still all jumbled up, rather than in the playlist folders. The folders show up on my iPod, but some are empty and some have a few but not all of the correct playlists in them. How can I fix this?

PLease note that you cannot organise ipod playlists or folders while it is NOT connected to iTunes, as you simply can't see them.
    Yes you can.
If I'm not mistaken, this thread was started prior to the release of iTunes 11. iTunes 11 does "hide" Playlists and Playlist Folders, until you turn the Sidebar back on, using CTRL+S. Also, the top menu bar is useful, and that can be turned on with CTRL+B. However, that aside, nothing has changed regarding Playlists, You can (and have always been able to) create, alter and manage Playlists without having an iPod connected to iTunes. You then allow a Sync to synchronise those Playlists to the iPod.
    So use CTRL+B and CTRL+S and make sure you have the top menu and the sidebar showing, like so;
Notice the Playlist Folder, that I've named "Test Folder". Inside it is a Smart Playlist ("Rating 1 star") and two regular Playlists ("Dummy list, do not use" & "Test list"). To create new ones of any of these items, click on the + symbol at the bottom of the iTunes Window (I've ringed it). You then see this:
So that sorts out creating and managing them in your iTunes Library.

It looks like ipod doesn't have a folder function which is unhelpful and user unfriendly.
That's not correct. At least, not as far as the Playlist Folders we have been discussing.
    Once the Playlists are Synced to the iPod, looking in the Playlists section on my iPod Touch, shows this;
Notice the "Playlist Folder" (named Test Folder) on the list. Delving into that shows the three Playlists that we saw in iTunes. Notice the name of the Playlist Folder at the top, and the three Playlists in it, listed below (in alphabetical order):
One thing that may be of further use to you; while arranging my iPod to get the screenshots, I found that it took two attempts to get the Playlists fully Synced with my iPod (I use "Sync selected playlists" with it). So if your first Sync doesn't put everything onto your iPod, try a second Sync.

  • ITunes Match not showing on my iPhone 4S

I Bought an iPhone 4S last week and I had icloud and iTunes Match set up but some reason my music will not appear on my iPhone,I have logged  out
of iTunes Match on my pc,ipad, and iPhone and logged back in again on all devices but the music is still not on my iPhone.please advise

You need to work through the following steps on the iPhone http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5637
This will work unless you have corrupt material already on the iPhone, here restoring the iPhone is effective.
Ensure the iPhone has latest IOS installed and follow these steps:
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Music.
Tap the iTunes Match switch to set it to ON.
To access your music in iCloud, open the Music Player app on your device. It may take a few minutes for your iTunes Match library to appear on your device depending on your Internet connection, and how large your iTunes Match library is. You may see an iCloud icon with a progress bar while your device syncs with iTunes Match.
A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your device.
      Important:
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when adding an iOS device to iTunes Match, downloading over a cellular network is not enabled. To enable downloading over cellular for iTunes Match, choose Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Use Cellular Data > On.

  • HT204406 itunes match not working

iTunes match is not working on my wife's iphone 4s. I have an ipad, my iphone and 2 pc's all linked to the same itunes account and have no problems connecting with them. The problem started this afternoon only on my wife's iphone 4s - trying to connect to match and it just hangs on the "Loading iTunes Match..." screen. Upgraded to iOS 7 but no cure.
    Any ideas?

I had the same problem. My Match songs just did not show up. Here's what worked for me:
    Quit iTunes
In the Finder top bar go to Go --> (hold down Option) --> Library
    Navigate to the Preferences folder.
Find "com.apple.iTunes.plist" Throw it in the Trash
    Restart iTunes.
Sign in to iTunes Store, then go to Store --> Turn On iTunes Match.
    All is well.

  • HT204406 iTunes match not working on iPhone 5

I have iTunes Match turned on. At the top of the iTunes song screen on my iPhone 5, it looks like it's downloading all my 2766 songs and the cover view is flashing by rapidly. After it reached 2766 the whole process starts over, and I'm unable to listen to music. Every now and then it will play a random selection; then nothing. Anyone know what's going on?
    Chris

Not sure if you tried this but I was having the same problem with iTunes Match on my iPhone 5.  I fixed it by first connecting it to my MAC.  When I connected my iPhone i saw that the "iTunes Match" icon popped up again in the navigation bar on the left (under the "Store" category).  I thought this was funny because this is only an option if you haven't activated iTunes Match on the computer or if you haven't registered for the service.  Since I already did that I found it was odd that the icon would show up again.  Sure enough I clicked on the iTunes Match icon and the main display screen in iTunes went through what seemed to be a quick auto logon process and the iTunes Match icon disappeared.  After that I had a hunch and went back to my iPhone (still connected) and tried to activate iTunes Match and this time it did it.  Still seems to be some kind of a bug with iOS6 but it has fixed the problem for me... for now...

  • ITunes does not recognize ipad when connected

When I connect my iPad to the computer, iTunes does not recognize the iPad.  I have had the iPad for several months now and have not had the issue.  I checked the cable with the charger and that works fine.  Went through what Apple suggested to no avail.  Any ideas?

Did you try the steps contained in the attached link?  http://www.apple.com/support/ipad/assistant/itunes/

  • Focusrite Saffire does not show up when connected to Imac by Firewire 800

When I connect my focusrite saffire to my i7 imac 27" via the firewire 800 port, the device does not show up on the computer, however it does light up indicating it is being powered off the firewire. When I click on "about this mac<more info<firewire", all I see is this " Maximum Speed: Up to 800 Mb/sec", I have checked and my "AppleFWAudio" file is up to date. The Focusrite uses Firewire 400 but I use an adaptor which converts it to 800, I have tried different adapters and cables from a number of companies which were suggested by Focusrite themselves and none of them worked.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I too was having problems connecting my Focusrite Saffire to my new iMac 27" i7.  It would light up and click several times, but it would never be in a ready state w/ both LINE indicators being green.  The Saffire Control software would say the the Saffire DSP didn't load and to unplug it and re-plug and wait for the lights to turn green, but that never happened.  I called Sweetwater (where I bought the unit) and they didn't seem to know of any prevailing issues, BUT the tech did suggest to reboot the iMac in 32 bit mode (hold down the '3' and '2' keys during startup).  I did that and replugged the Saffire but it exhibited the same problem.  I unplugged it and left it for like 3 minutes then reattached the firewire cable and it mounted.  I opened up the Sound preferences and was able to select it and get sound out of it.  I then opened DP and ran a quick test and it worked as well.  The next test was to reboot into 64 bit mode.  I did that while the Saffire was still connected and it actually stayed mounted and connected upon reboot.  I have my System Sound output running through it right now and its still working.  I haven't tried DP yet, but will do that later.  I'm not going to reboot again until I hear back from Focusrite.  I sent in a help request last night.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • ITunes Match not showing up in sidebar or contextual menus

I subscribed to iTunes Match, and while I've been able to get it to upload in small batches (e.g. less than 100 songs at a shot), recently it decided to stop showing the "Add to iCloud" option when I select songs, even on brand new tracks I haven't attempted to match previously.  I thought reloading iTunes might fix the issue, but all that did is take it away from the sidebar until I went to the Store menu and told it to update iTunes Match.  Any idea what I can do to get it to cooperate so I can continue uploading the remaining 80% of my library piecemeal?
