HT204406 Itunes Match process became cyclic every minute.

I already finished to upload all my music with itunes match, but itunes match begin all the update songs process every minute (all 3 steps), if I am buying something in the store or browsing my musoc, itunes match interrupts and send me to the itunes match page. I can stop the process and everything stops, but I assume that that is not right, I assume that the process can run indefinitly in a "silent mode" or something.
Thanks

Kevin, it appears for me this was indeed an ISP issue. I was experiencing this problem using when i was connected to my home network which uses roadrunner. After reading your comment, i decided to try connecting to verizon LTE by tethering my iphone, and all of the songs uploaded successfully.

Have you confirmed that you successfull purged iTunes Match by also looking on an iOS device?  If so, keep in mind that Apple's servers may be experiencing a heavy load right now.  They just added about 19 countries to the service and I've read a few accounts this morning that suggests all's not running perfectly right now.

For the last few weeks, the iTunes store has been displayed with empty graphic rectangles (with a blue box containing a white question mark centered in the rectangles), bits of text, and some buttons. The page extends quite a ways, including what I assume would be all the links to all the music...
If all you are trying to do is buy music, you can easily buy MP3s at any online music download store (e.g. amazon.com) and add them to your iTunes library.

  • HT204406 iTunes Match fails to connect.

I am having an issue with iTunes Match.  When I launch iTunes, I get a message that iTunes Match is gathering data about my library and then one stating that iTunes is waiting for the results from Apple.  After about a minute, the process ends and begins all over again!  I never reach a point where my library is available.  The service worked fine for a few weeks, but stopped working on Monday.  Nothing has changed about my network or network settings.  I also have not performed any system updates.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • HT204406 iTunes match not working on iPhone 5

I have iTunes Match turned on. At the top of the iTunes song screen on my iPhone 5, it looks like it's downloading all my 2766 songs and the cover view is flashing by rapidly. After it reached 2766 the whole process starts over, and I'm unable to listen to music. Every now and then it will play a random selection; then nothing. Anyone know what's going on?

Not sure if you tried this but I was having the same problem with iTunes Match on my iPhone 5.  I fixed it by first connecting it to my MAC.  When I connected my iPhone i saw that the "iTunes Match" icon popped up again in the navigation bar on the left (under the "Store" category).  I thought this was funny because this is only an option if you haven't activated iTunes Match on the computer or if you haven't registered for the service.  Since I already did that I found it was odd that the icon would show up again.  Sure enough I clicked on the iTunes Match icon and the main display screen in iTunes went through what seemed to be a quick auto logon process and the iTunes Match icon disappeared.  After that I had a hunch and went back to my iPhone (still connected) and tried to activate iTunes Match and this time it did it.  Still seems to be some kind of a bug with iOS6 but it has fixed the problem for me... for now...

  • HT204406 iTunes Match was set up but wouldn't download any of my music. I turned iTunes Match off, deauthorised and then reauthorised, restarted iTunes. Now iTunes match won't turn on - I get the "Add this computer screen" but it says can't add for 83 day

iTunes Match was set up on my new MacBook Pro. Today, it wouldnt download any of my music, so I followed advice, switched on iTunes Match and switched it on again. When this didnt help, I deauthorized the computer, logged out of iTunes, and relogged in again. I have reauthroized the computer and reset the View/Options.
However, now I cant connect to iTunes Match or iCloud at all. The screen asking me to Add this computer comes up, when I click and enter my Mac account details I get the error message:
"You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 83 days."
However, this was the iTunes account with which I set up iTunes Match.
    Anyone got any suggestions?

  • HT204406 itunes match in itunes 11 gets error 4002

While attempting to upload my library for the first time to Apple Cloud using iTunes (v11)  match from Win 7 PC, I get an error 4002 after looking at the screen for about 20 minutes stating:
    Step 1:
    iTunes Match
    Sending your information to Apple......
This was after 20 minutes of gathering information about my library.....which appeared to be successful.
    Any clues?
    Thanks.

Very disappointed in Apple these days...  iOS 6, iTunes Match, iTunes...  quality control died with Mr. Jobs evidently.  I got tired of iTunes Match 4002's or the restarting about 30 times before it could finally complete it's task.  So I switched over to Amazon's mp3 match services.  They limit you to 250k songs (instead of 25k) and the music is always cheaper at Amazon than iTunes.  Plus there is an Amazon mp3 player for android, iOS, Windows and Mac...  no need to be stuck with iTunes anymore.  Especially since Apple doesn't seem to be able to fix the ongoing issues with it.  The only negative is that I can't use Amazon Cloud Player on my Apple TV.

  • HT204406 itunes match keeps saying error please sign in again

when i try and open ituns match it says error please sign in, so i sihn out and sign back in andit tells me the same thing again. also on my iphone it says no itunes match subscripion, but i still have it till next year.

One of the fixes someone else mentioned for this is to set itunes to ADMINISTRATOR privileges.

  • HT204406 itunes match songs say waiting

I have recentlly put itunes match on my mac devices.  After several days of letting the songs upload, download, match, etc I notice that some of the songs are grayish color and the icloud status is waiting, for days.  Why does it say that and how can I get those songs on my devices?

    Hi,
Try holding shift key whilst turning off match. Close iTunes then relaunch. Reactivate match. You will be asked to add this computer. Do so. Let match process complete.

  • HT4913 Trying to add new macbook air to itunes match. process starts but never succeeds. works for a while then give error  about itunes server.

Trying to add my new Macbook Air to iTunes match. Process starts but goes nowhere. After some time I get error about iTunes server losing connection. Help! I want to access all my music.

Hi Rob- I'm guessing it has something to do with all the update stuff Apple keeps doing (with Yosemite, etc.,) extremely frustrating - also whenever I load up iTunes on any of my devices- I am asked to enter my passcode- which I will do- then I am asked to do it 2 or 3 more times - right after the other- crazy how annoying something like that can be- I have looked online for solutions- i.e. close out of the account, reset the passcode- all of it- nothing seems to fix that situation either-  what I have discovered (playing around) is on my iPhone 6+ if I go to settings and turn OFF iTunes match- then turn it back ON- suddenly all the music that wasn't loaded shows up magically- but I had to do that each time I'd update songs in my playlist on the iMac- then go to the iPhone and turn off the match- then turn it back on- almost like it is resetting things-

  • HT204406 itunes match broke

hi,  I just bought a new iphone.  I have set up itunes match, but when i go to my music, a cloud appears with a progress bar, and after a minute or two, it says I have no music.  I have tried to turn match on/off, reboot, with no success.  Have read a few threads (using iexplore and such to delete control files) but nothing has helped.  any advice please!

I was also having this problem after having successfully used iTunes Match previously. The problem appears to be when there are two version of songs and one of them has the iCloud icon made using a dotted line. Here's what solved it for me:
    1. Identify your duplicate files. I have a large library, so I elected to use Dupin Light (available on the Mac App store). I suppose I could have used iTunes duplicate finder too, but I prefer the flexibility of Dupin.
    2. Once you have identified your duplicates, find them in iTunes. In my case Dupin identifed 50, from 19,000+ tracks, so for me it was not a large number to check manually.
    3. When you find the duplicates, if one of them has the aforementioned dotted line iCloud icon, this is the one you need to delete. If you accidently delete the other version, you can always download it again if you have purchased it from iTunes. In any case, it seems to be the tracks with this icon that it is causing iTunes Match to stall, so you will need to delete all of these.
    4. Once you have completed step 3, iTunes Match should not proceed and complete.

  • HT204406 Itunes match stops loading after step 2

Itune stops fontionning after Itunes Match has loaded step 2.  Why?

    Hi there
I was having this same issue after re-enabling iTunes Match despite it having worked previously.
It turned out to be a problem with some of the new tracks i'd added since the last time it was enabled. To locate them, I had to wait until the match process was on step 2 and got to the point where it stopped matching. It got to something like 9822 of 9870 songs.
In the songs view I then changed the visible fields to include the iCloud Status field, then sorted the songs by this field.
When I scrolled to the bottom there were the exact number of remaining songs sitting on the "Waiting" status. All of these were new additions. I removed them from the library and retried the match and it completed perfectly. I'm now re-adding the songs back into the library one album at a time to see if they will match now.
    Fingers crossed...

  • HT204406 iTunes Match update does not go beyond "Collecting information" stage

My iTunes Match worked well for most of 2012 but since recently during Update process it does not go any  further " collecting information about your library" in which it may stay for hours and hours.
I have tired to sign out and sign in many times. There were at least two iTunes updates since. I have even upgraded to Windows 8.
    Would appreciate any ideas.
    Thanks!

  • HT204406 iTunes match is stuck on Step 1: Gathering Information about your iTunes Library

iTunes match is stuck on Step 1: Gathering Information about your iTunes Library.
It will not progress past step 1.
I have tryed re-installing iTunes, resetting everything and all that. No luck in getting it to work.
Any suggestions on how I get it to work?

    Hi..
"A status indicator will allow you to track progress. You may also manually pause and resume iTunes at any time by clicking the Stop or Start button."
From here >  iTunes Store: Troubleshooting iTunes Match
Can you click the Start button?
Sounds like the internet connection is timing out.
Try turning off your router for a few minutes, then turn it back on. Restart your Mac, launch iTunes and try again.
