HT204406 itunes match setup won't complete

I just signed up for match and can't complete the setup process, it times out or just gets stuck on a song 3260 of 3282 when trying to process/setup the match.

I am having a problem downloading to a new Windows Vista 64 machine. When I download using either IE or Firefox, the download gets to 14.7 MB and stops. Any ideas on why the download will not work?

  • HT204406 iTune Match songs won't play

I have iTunes Match. When I first bought the service, it worked great. I bought it so I could have access to all my music and not be limited by the space on my phone or iPad.  Lately, even though all my songs are listed on my device, they will not play. If there are several songs in a playlist or album it will scroll through the songs and not play any of them.  I am unable to use it as I need to and it is very frustrating.

I too am having this problem. I have a first gen nano. Some downloaded songs will play fine, but my most recent purchases won't play on the IPOD... only from the computer. When attempting to play on the IPOD, it skips to the next song.

  • ITunes Match setup is giving error 9810

I've been trying to complete step 1 of the iTunes Match setup but I keep getting error 9810. Does anyone have this problem and if so how can I resolve this.

Having the same error. I had to stop and start match on all my devices once before- hoping I don't have to do that again because they place limits I think and I had to contact support. Also my iTunes has been bricking about 1 in ever 5 songs I add lately, forcing me to quit the app and restart it. Seems like the new software just kinda *****.
Maybe instead of breaking the interface they shoulda focused on making their new services actually work.

For the last few weeks, the iTunes store has been displayed with empty graphic rectangles (with a blue box containing a white question mark centered in the rectangles), bits of text, and some buttons. If all you are trying to do is buy music, you can easily buy MP3s at any online music download store (e.g. amazon.com) and add them to your iTunes library.

  • Unable to get iTunes match setup to complete

I recently subscribed to iTunes Match but have been unable to successfully complete the setup process.  I have read many other posts regarding initial matching troublingshooting and tried the following:
-Sign in and out of iTunes Store
    -Disable and re-enable iTunes Match
    -Disable Genius
-Delete any songs that made it to iCloud and start over with zero songs in iCloud
-Creating new blank iTunes library and match, then import songs and match again
I've spent a week trying all of these things, and am pretty convinced the service won't work for me and will seek a refund from Apple, but thought as a last ditch attempt I'd see if anyone had any recommendations I hadn't considered before I try the Google Play cloud music service.
When I start iTunes Match it takes a few hours to gather information about my library, a few minutes on subsequent attempts, but never a few seconds.
The matching step never truly completes.  It most frequently freezes at about 16,000/18,000 songs matched causing me to start everything over (including all the nonsense signing in and out, etc. noted above).  Occasionally it will appear as if it finished, the progress bar complete, saying all 18,000 songs matched and begin uploading unmatched songs.  I've only reached this step about three times in probably 50 attempts at iTunes Match this week.  On each of those occasions, the process completely freezes during upload after 100 songs or so.  I only have about 2000 songs to upload so thought by 'rinsing and repeating' I'd eventually get there, but since the entire process only makes it to the upload step about 5% of the time, instead of 20 attempts it seems like it's going to take a few hundred, which I don't have the patience for.  Also important to note that even after it makes it to the final upload step and successfully uploads ~100 songs before freezing, when I start over again, it always has to re-match 2,000-3,000 songs, so Step 2 takes a couple hours before uploads begin again.
iTunes has matched those 2,000-3,000 songs in my library dozens of times now, and never remembers, I'm not adding anything new to my library.  I also have received the following error a number of times, probably about 5% of the time:
We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-9838).
There was an error in the iTunes Store.  Please try again later.
Appreciate any suggestions before I throw in the towel.  The idea of iTunes Match is great, but as I've been searching for troubleshooting help it's become clear a LOT of people have similar problems and the quality of the service is quite poor.

No! Don't plug in your iPod yet!
Oh good grief, I hope you didn't delete your music, KC! Are you sure it's not still there on your hard drive? Search for files named "mp3" or "m4p".
Anyway - here is a post by Buegie on getting songs off your iPod, if the music is truly gone from your PC.

Yesterday I went to settings in my iPhone, Music, turned iTunes Match to "Off".  I then updated Match in iTunes and it worked!  I don't know why, but it worked.

  • HT204406 iTunes Match was set up but wouldn't download any of my music. I turned iTunes Match off, deauthorised and then reauthorised, restarted iTunes. Now iTunes match won't turn on - I get the "Add this computer screen" but it says can't add for 83 day

iTunes Match was set up on my new MacBook Pro. Today, it wouldnt download any of my music, so I followed advice, switched on iTunes Match and switched it on again. When this didnt help, I deauthorized the computer, logged out of iTunes, and relogged in again. I have reauthroized the computer and reset the View/Options.
However, now I cant connect to iTunes Match or iCloud at all. The screen asking me to Add this computer comes up, when I click and enter my Mac account details I get the error message:
"You can use iTunes Match on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 83 days."
However, this was the iTunes account with which I set up iTunes Match.
    Anyone got any suggestions?

  • HT204406 iTunes Match saying I'm limited to 5 devices...but I don't have 5 devices and won't work on my MacBook Pro. Please Help!

I've just got a new MacBook Pro, and want to have iTunes Match on it. But when I go to 'add this computer' in iTunes on the MacBook, a message comes up saying I've reached my limit of Match being on 5 devices. This makes no sense because I only have match on my iPad and my old Windows laptop and nothing else.
Out of curiosity, I turned off iTunes Match on my iPad to see what would happen, but I still cannot get Match on my MacBook Pro.
    Please help!

    Do a backup before proceeding.
Try putting the 10.6.3 disk in the computer. During a restart, hold down the option/alt key, select the disk, and see if you can boot from there. If so, select the language, then go to the Utilities menu, and select Disk Utility. Check to see what partition scheme you have by selecting the hard drive.
If you don't have GUID, you are going to need to erase the drive and reformat, which will cause you to lose all your data. Did I mention doing a backup?
If you do have GUID, run Disk Utility repair disk and repair permissions. You may have to do this more than once. Then try in install 10.6.3.
If successful, use the combo update to get to 10.6.8 and then run Software update until there are no more updates.

  • HT204406 iTunes Match songs appear uploaded but won't play on shared devices

I have songs (ALAC, DRM free) purchased from Bandcamp that refuse to play or download on shared Match devices.  These play fine on my iTunes Match master computer in their original format, and appear to be uploaded/synced to iCloud.
They are available on my other synced devices (iPhone, mac, windows PC) but whenever I try to play or download I get an error saying the song is not available for download.
I've tried completeley deleting the music from the library and resyncing.  The songs are recognized by iCloud and added back to my library, but are still not able to play.  Because I know this isn't specific to the mobile device and rather to iCloud directly I'm at a loss as to how to troubleshoot it.
My only thought would be that they need to be transcoded (the songs aren't available on the iTunes Store), but it has been weeks since they were initially uploaded, and even if I obtained the 320kbps MP3 files from Bandcamp they would still be transcoded to AAC for Match compatibility, so I'm not really sure how to proceed.
Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

I am experiencing this issue with iOS 8.1.2.

  • Why is the iTunes Match setup process causing iTunes (and my machine) to freeze?

I purchased iTunes Match several days ago, and it continues to freeze iTunes, subsequently locking up my machine. It keeps getting stuck on step 1 of the setup process (analyzing my library); I have left it overnight several times with no luck.
At this point, I really just want my $25 back, but has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a workaround?

it's been confirmed elsewhere that: once again, itunes IS in fact the problem.
many kudos to Apple, my hat tips to their engineers for being such brilliant programmers. and i'd also like to take this opportunity to thank them for the numerous other times i've had problems with Apple-written software on my windows-based pc's....

  • HT204406 itunes match in itunes 11 gets error 4002

While attempting to upload my library for the first time to Apple Cloud using iTunes (v11)  match from Win 7 PC, I get an error 4002 after looking at the screen for about 20 minutes stating:
    Step 1:
    iTunes Match
    Sending your information to Apple......
This was after 20 minutes of gathering information about my library.....which appeared to be successful.
    Any clues?
    Thanks.

Very disappointed in Apple these days...  iOS 6, iTunes Match, iTunes...  quality control died with Mr. Jobs evidently.  I got tired of iTunes Match 4002's or the restarting about 30 times before it could finally complete it's task.  So I switched over to Amazon's mp3 match services.  They limit you to 250k songs (instead of 25k) and the music is always cheaper at Amazon than iTunes.  Plus there is an Amazon mp3 player for android, iOS, Windows and Mac...  no need to be stuck with iTunes anymore.  Especially since Apple doesn't seem to be able to fix the ongoing issues with it.  The only negative is that I can't use Amazon Cloud Player on my Apple TV.
