HT204406 Missing playlists - iTunes match

I have recently turned on iTunes match.
Generally pretty painless, I have most of my playlists but several are missing... Including "Purchased". Any ideas?

    I just enabled iTunes Match on multiple devices in my house.  At first, almost all the playlists were duplicated.  I manually deleted the playlists back to one entry per playlist...a real pain.  I could see changes made on one device updating on the other devices for almost all my playlists...which told me things were working correctly.  But....There are a couple of playlists on my Macbook Pro that won't update to my other devices, like my desktop.  What gives?

    You can sign in on multiple devices to use iTunes Match but it must be with the exact same Apple ID you used to purchase the service. You will need to sign out of the existing ID on the devcies and sign in with the new one.

  • HT204406 I bought iTunes Match enabled it on my ipad now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I have is the music my daughter purchased from itunes how can I get them back. for her ipad.

    I have ipad 3 & daughter new ipad mini with RD. She has nano and I have classic. Her nano syncs to her own laptop and mine to my desktop. I bought iTunes Match and authorised both iPads and both iPods. I have now enabled iTunes Match in my ipad and was warned it would replace my library. I pressed "enable" and now the 1800 songs in my library are gone and all I've got is the music my daughter bought from iTunes. What have I done wrong and how can I get my songs back. When I bought iTunes Match I got 1 e-mail confirming subscription and another providing receipt but nothing else no links etc. any assistance would be appreciated.

    You can only upload music from your computer's iTunes, you can't do it from an iOS device - when you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer it should have scanned your music library on it and matched or uploaded any non-iTunes purchased music to it.
    Do you have copies of those tracks anywhere e.g. on an iOS device or on your backup of your downloads/library ? If they are iTunes purchases then they should be in the cloud. If they were copied from CDs or bought from other sources then if they are only on an iOS device (i.e. you don't have them on a backup) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

  • HT204406 Problem with iTunes Match on iTunes 11 !!

    Hello,
    I had the pervious version of iTunes, and I subsecribed to iTunes match, and after uploading all my music to the cloud,
    I deleted all my songs localy to save some space on my laptop, but still everything would play fine since all my music are on the cloud,
    but when I just upgraded to iTunes 11, and tried to play a song it would ask me to locate it !!, not a single song would play, and the thing is,
    all the songs are streaming just fine on my iPhone's music player, so clearly the problem is from the new version of iTunes !!

    Unfortunately that did not work either.  I have updated iTunes, turn off ITM, turn off ITM on the phone, did a hard reboot, waited a day, turned on ITM on iTunes, then turned on ITM on the phone and still nothing showing up under albums or artists, only songs.
    This makes no sense!

  • HT204406 Problem with iTunes match cutting off a song on my iPhone, not Mac or PC

    I have purchased the Katy Perry album "Prism" outside of iTunes and matched it with iTunes match. When I try to play the first song "Roar" on my iPhone, it plays only part of it and then cuts off and plays the second song.  This only happens on my iPhone, when I use iTunes match to play the song on either my mac or PC using iTunes, the song plays fine without any issues.
    I've tried turning off iTunes match, and then starting it again, no luck.  I powered off, then on my iPhone, no luck.  I've downloaded the song out of the cloud and still has the same problem... anybody have this problem too or can help?

    Some additional observations:
    When I look at the album, the song "Roar" has a length of "2:05", but once I play the song by pressing it, the song begins playing and the slider shows a length of 3:39 (close to the correct length).  However, once it hits 2:03, it stops and starts playing the next song.
    Interestingly, using iTunes on my mac, the song in the album view shows "2:04" but once I double-click the song, the length changes to "3:43", but plays the complete song without any problems.

  • Some of my music is missing from iTunes Match and I can't add it manually.

    I seem to have remembered being able to manually add any new music I got to the cloud by simply right clicking on an album or a song in iTunes. Now it seems as if that doesn't work anymore. I just got some new music and it's not showing up in my iPhone or iPad. Please help.

    The issue lies with the info in each song/album. Since iTunes match tries to match your library with songs from their own library, the info in each album needs to show the specified artist and song names so iTunes Match can recognize it.     That solved my issue. I changed the album artist to be the artist name only and re-logged in to iTunes Match, then checked my phone and it was there.

    I am having trouble in some locations listening to music on itunes match.  Is there a way to doownload the music to the iphone so I don't lose it when out of coverage areas?

    I rebooted, reopened iTunes on the Macbook Pro and repeated steps: went to store (upper bar), turn on iTunes Match, then to iTunes Match under store on left side, page came up with access option and all was downloaded automatically.

    Song shows "greyed out" on iTunes list with iCloud / iTunes Match icon for "click to download".  But when I click on the icon to try to download the song nothing happens.  I've tried signing out of iTunes Match and signing back in, etc.  

    I have five songs like this in itunes 11. In the previous version, i got an error on four of the songs but now there is no error dialog popup. Also, I recently tried to redownload a song after deleting it, it is greyed out also.

  • HT204406 Downloading from iTunes Match.

    I am trying to download one of my albums from iTunes Match, and only some of the songs are downloading (yes, I clicked download all).  The songs show the circle as if it's going to download, but then the "Cloud" icon reappears, and the download begins with the next song.  I have tried deleting the album and starting over, but that doesn't work.  Anyone know how to fix this?  Happens when I try Cellular Data or just Wifi.

    Yes it will use data on your cellular plan unless connected to wi-fi.

  • HT204406 I have iTunes match on my computer but cannot get the radio to play without ads on apple tv

    I signed up for itunes match on my computer and it works fine there.  I tried to put in on my apple tv and while it shows my songs and stations I set up, it still plays the radio with ads.  Any suggestions?

    You cannot subscribe to match on your ipad!! You can only subscribe to match from the itunes library on your computer.
    When you subscribe, itunes match scans your computer to determine what can be Matched, Uploaded and Inelligible. It will also identify your itunes Purchases which don't count towards the 25K limit.
    Once itunes completes its scan, you will be told how many tracks are in the cloud. Once this is done you can turn on Match on your Ipad and you will have access to all music that is matched, uploaded or purchased.

    I have songs purchased thru iTunes in 2007 under an old and no longer used ID.  They all appear in the list of purchased music but will not match and appear as DRM files on my Mac (hence the error).  How do I get this resolved?

    What do I need to do to authorize my new computer to play these songs with my current ID?

    You can't.  The old songs are associated with the ID under which they were originally purchased, and there is no way to change it.
    You will have to authorize your computer for both the old and new IDs.
