facetime stops working after installing mavericks. After login it says: check internet connection and try again. My internet connections are ok, I have both wifi and lan.
Please describe in detail what happened when you took all the applicable steps in the support article. That's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem.

I repeatedly keep getting notified: Could Not Sign In. Please check network connection and try again. When trying to log into FaceTime. Also note that click FaceTime on bar that Preferences is not highlighted by light gray. I can log into my apple ID okay and log in to write this comment without any problem. Sometimes firewalls cause trouble with Facetime, iMessage and other Apple apps - please try to open these ports from your router firewall (or ask somebody to do it if you don't know how).

Try this... I had the same problem and this worked for me.
Go to your system preferences → network → make sure WI-FI selected → advanced → DNS tab. Add 8.8.8.8 to the DNS servers. Go back to FaceTime and try to verify your account again.

Using a cradle with the Tungsten E2? Tried bypassing the cradle and just use the hotsync cable? Tried a different computer yet? Somehow, the PC is having problems getting a signal from the device. I assume you have the laptop charger plugged into the laptop during this? Not going through a docking station or port-replicator.
One crazy thing you can try is unplug the charger from your laptop, remove the battery from the laptop and leave it out for like 10mins and put it back in and reboot the laptop. This should not cause side effects but still contact your OEM to make sure that nothing else is needed after leaving the battery out for extended period of time. Keep me posted.

Can't connect to Facetime or messages on iPod touch. When I try to sign in, message says to check network connection and try again. I have tried multiple times with both apps with the same result. There is nothing wrong with my internet connection as I am able to check my e-mail and all of the other apps that require wifi so I can't figure out what the problem is. First, regarding the virus issue, although I cannot promote any specific 3rd party software, there are plenty of FREE and very good anti-virus apps out there. You can Google 'free antivirus" and a good list will come up. You may want to look at a few reviews before you try. I don't know if you use Mac or Windows so you may have to do a little research on which is best for your computer platform. You can run the software and it will help clean off your system if there's a virus.
Second, regarding your Elements sync to Revel, you may need to disable and then re-enable the Revel sync agent from within Elements, which you find in Preferences. In addition you may try signing out and then back into Revel via Elements.
Let me know how that goes. If the disable/re-enable doesn't help, I'll get an Elements team member to see if they can help.
