HT204490 bluetooth connectivity issue - Yosemite10.10.3 update

The bluetooth connectivity issue still remains unresolved even after Yosemite 10.10.3 update. Any help will be appreciated.

Nobody here knows that since 10.3 hasn't been released yet. You might check crackberry.com and see if anyone testng the leaked version has a Mercedes and can test.

  • Is there any fix for the bluetooth connectivity issue after most recent OS update?

Seems to be a common problem particularly with bluetooth headseat connectivity. Any ideas?

There is no bluetooth connectivity issue after the recent OS update. There may be a problem with your phone, which may or may not be related to the update. A "common problem" looks like this in the forums:
I haven't seen any threads on BlueTooth with over 1.4 million views and over 12,000 replies, or even any vaguely close. For any problem that someone has there is bound to be someone else amoung 150 million users who have it. That doesn't make it a "common problem."
If you tell us what the problem is specifically and what you have done so far to try to resolve it someone can probably help you.

  • The 10.10.2 update has introduced bluetooth connectivity issues.

The 10.10.2 update has messed up my bluetooth connectivity. I know this update was intended to resolve connectivity problems. However, before the update I was not experiencing any issues. Now, my bluetooth drops connectivity -- can't keep my Magic Mouse online. Please Help; is there any way to uninstall 10.10.2? Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Since 10.10.2, my Apple Magic Mouse will only connect if I reboot my MBP. I typically leave my MBP running in my office and switch off my mouse at night. In the morning, I cannot reconnect unless I restart my MBP. Never had such an issue prior to 10.10.2.
Apple... I switched from Windows 5-6 years ago because I simply couldn't stand the bugs and sloppy user experience that was Microsoft's hallmark. I'm sad to say I've experienced all the same (possibly worse) since Lion and beyond. Snow Leopard was the last "solid" OS I remember. The rest bring back Microsoft flashbacks..
Apple. PLEASE get it together man! I shutter at the prospect of switching back to Windows, but I am thoroughly annoyed with you!

  • Bluetooth connection issues after update

Is anyone experiencing bluetooth connection issues after upgrading to iOS 8.1.3?  I upgraded to iOS 8.1.3 and now it won't connect to my car bluetooth and my bluetooth speaker will sound like it has static from time to time.

    Hi, joshzik.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are experiencing issues with various Bluetooth devices and your iPhone.  Sometimes pairing the devices again can resolve the issue.  However, here are a couple articles that have some helpful troubleshooting steps regarding Bluetooth connectivity and an iOS device.

  • Ios 5.0.1 + Iphone 4 bluetooth connection issue with car stereo

My Iphone 4 will not connect with my new JVC car stereo I have spoken to JVC customer support and they say its an Apple issue that they need to fix (changed something with the bluetooth connection scripts in the latest update update, as they have done before).
The phone finds the stereo and then tries to pair with it, however half way through the pairing process the phone losses connection with the stereo and the pairing is then deleted.
I have deleted all the existing pairing in the phone memory and ensured that the stereo has been rebooted to ensure no conflict of previous installs would effect the process
Does anyone know if Apple are going to fix this glitch in a new softwre update (and if so when is it being released) as at the minute i have an expensive stereo which is cant use to its full ability?

Similar problems occured when Apple released iOS 4 last year. It was NOT fixed with an update from Apple. It was fixed by the system vendors and automakers releasing updates for their equipment. There are ongoing complaints from people with some Toyota built cars (Toyota and Lexus) with some systems as well as some BMW drivers.
I'm willing to bet money that the head unit you have is not fully standards compliant. Unfortunately, getting JVC to admit that is going to be nearly impossible. I suspect they will just quietly issue an update sometime in the next few months. Assuming the head unit can be updated by the end user at all.  You may have to resort to an inexpensive visor mount speaker phone in the mean-time.

  • Bluetooth connectivity issues after updating to OS X 10.10.3

I have been experiencing issues with bluetooth mouse connectivity (apple magic mouse) after updating OS X to 10.10.3. My Macbook Retina 15" pro (early 2013) keeps losing connection with the mouse. Switching the mouse on/off helps in re- establishing connection between the mouse and the laptop for a few seconds. I was under the impression that this update of Yosemite was intended to rectify bluetooth and wifi connectivity issues. Any suggestions/advice welcome.

  • Bluetooth connection issues - Macbook Pro

My apologies if my question has already been answered, but I have done more searches then I can count and I still cannot locate any answers.
I just purchased a MacBook Pro (running the lastest updates). I have a TREO PRO Smartphone running Windows Mobile 6.1. I can pair the MacBook and TREO via bluetooth. What I can't seem to do is connect the two to use any of the bluetooth functions (send files, browse device) or sync files between the two (I've installed Missing Sync for Windows Mobile to perform the syncing functions). In Missing Sync, the Bluetooth Icon is grayed out (Missing Sync doesn't see the TREO and MacBook connected via bluetooth).
What am I doing wrong?? I feel like I am missing a major step after the pairing process has completed. I deleted and re-paired the devices multiple times - still no bluetooth connections.
I can activate Internet Sharing on the TREO and connect the MacBook and Treo via "connect to network", but then I still can't sync, send files or browse device.
In case you are curious, PALM support said it's a Windows Mobile issue, Microsoft says it's an Apple issue, and the Genius Bar says they can only help with bluetoothing on an iPhone.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

I'm exactly on the same issue. Have you found a solution ?

  • Anyone else still having iOS 8.1 Bluetooth Connection issues.

Hi there just wanted to see if anyone is still having the Vehicle "Hands Free" Connection issues via Bluetooth on the iPhone 6? I drive a 2009 Acura TL and I am still having the connection issue. Oddly enough before the 8.1 update I was running 8.0.2 and it worked fine. Now when I get in my car and the phone connects it cripples the entire system. It won't allow me to change to the USB mode for my connected iPod and when I try to place a call via the "Hands Free" system it beeps as if it is activating and then does nothing.
I have tried everything that I can think of with no results. I was hoping there was someone out there with the same car or similar having the same problem that might have found a fix. Chime in and let me know.

I am having similar problems with Bluetooth connectivity but not with a car.  I use a Planatronics Legend.  Everytime that a call comes in, my Legend announces the call then immediately disconnects from my iPhone.  All of this started after upgrading to ios 8.1.
Apple should not advertise fixes to problems without truly confirming the repairs.

  • Blackberry Z10 - Bluetooth connection issues

Everytime I get into my 2012 Toyota Camry and connect to Bluetooth, the screen on my phone pops up saying unable to play media. But the thing is I have no music on my phone or pictures, etc. I have tried deleting all the discoverable devices, taking out the battery and setting everything up again, but I still keep getting this error. It only happens when I get into my car. Any suggestions of how to get rid of this error? It's annoying as it freezes my screen and I am unable to access any other app or email on my phone. Please help!!

There have been a bunch of complaints about Z10 and Toyota BT. Users who were on 10.0 seemed to have no issues, but then the update to 10.1 caused problems. The real issue seems to be that Toyota does not support the Z10. However, there is a leaked OS floating around that seems to have cured this issue for most users. Do a search on this forum.

  • Jaybird headphones and Macbook Pro Retina bluetooth connectivity issues

I recently purchased the Jaybird Bluebuds X Premium headphones and for awhile it would connect to my new Macbook Pro Retina 15'' via bluetooth, but now it doesn't anymore. The headphones connect just fine to my phone (iPhone 4S), and other Macbook Pros (not retina), but they do not connect to other Macbook Pro Retinas. I was wondering if this was a connectivity issue with Macbook Pro Retinas and if so how can I get around it to connect the headphones again?
    Thanks

    Hey there LongHorn16,
It sounds like your Bluetooth headphones aren't working with this one computer, but there is no issue with other devices that you have. I would start with these 2 steps from the following article:
    Restart your computer
Sometimes a simple restart of your Mac is all it takes to get things running smoothly again. You may also want to try resetting your computer's PRAM and NVRAM.
    Reset your Bluetooth device
Try turning your device off and then on again. If that doesn't resolve the issue, see if you can reset your device—refer to the documentation that came with your device for instructions.

If it still doesn't work, then I would next use this article to remove the device:

Then restart your computer and pair it again:

  • Mac OSX Lion Bluetooth Connectivity Issue

When going from one workstation to another with external monitors, wireless keyboards and trackpads - there seems to be an issue with bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth does not recognize signals from the next set of devices. The problem does not occur if the notebook is used normally in between (without the external hardware).
I have wiped out my bluetooth devices for both workstations and reconnected them from scratch. That did not work. I even installed a fresh copy of Lion but the problem still exists. My macbook pro is a late 2010 edition - 2.66 ghz i7 for reference.

I can't help you with your problem, but maybe this is a good start:

..... About that... have you encountered any other issue when using FB 4.5.1 with OS X 10.7.0?

  • Anyone noted Bluetooth connection issues with iPhone 4s and Ford sync?

My wifes iPhone 4 with IOS 5.0.1 auto connects to Ford Sync at least 75% of the time on first attempt. My new iPhone 4S with IOS 5.0.1 takes 4-5 attempts and rarely if ever connects without multiple attempts. Any one else seeing issues with failed Bluetooth connections with iPhone 4S phones?

Look at the right panel for links to other threads concerning problems with Fords. And it's not just Fords, cars in general.  No solutions seem to be given.

  • Bluetooth Connectivity Issues Resolved

It took me a bit of time to sort these two things out, so just want to share:
Problem is Bluetooth connectivity to PC so that I can use the Desktop Manager:
Using: Windows XP PRO, SP3 - Blackberry 8220 Pearl flip
    1) The first issue had to do with ANY Bluetooth connectivity to the synchronization program (Desktop Software).  I was actually told by the carrier tech services folks that it just wouldn't work right, so connect via USB.
After a LOT of research, what I found is this:  Blackberry connectivity only wanted to recognize the Windows NATIVE Bluetooth connector.  I was using something else a lot more powerful, and that worked on everything else I tried... but not with the Blackberry synch software.  I uninstalled the 3rd party connector and just ran the Windows version and everything worked perfectly immediately.
I do not know whether this is still the case, but it absolutely was the problem less than 1-year ago.  I found the clues in some of the Blackberry Support Knowledge Base info.  (Clue only.)
    2) Just today, and what prompted this note is a different issue.  I recently upgraded to Blackberry Desktop Software version 4.6.0.180, and guess what?  The Bluetooth connectivity again would not work.  Again, everything looked great.  The program could see the phone OK, but it would not connect to allow sync with the application.
Answer is this:  The upgrade opened two ports in my Windows Firewall (which makes sense)... but it did not erase or delete the previous open port settings.  What I found was this:
    (Under Firewall Exceptions)
BlackBerry Desktop Software music sync service data transfer TCP - Port 4482
BlackBerry Desktop Software music sync service data transfer TCP - Port 4481
BlackBerry Desktop Software music sync service discovery UDP - Port 4482
BlackBerry Desktop Software music sync service discovery UDP - Port 4481
So... The Firewall didn't know what to do because it had the same 2 ports opened under exceptions as both UDP and TCP for the same port numbers.  (i.e., Port 4482 as BOTH UDP and TCP)
The fix was simple... just delete the opposing exceptions so that "...Data Transfer" was TCP on Port 4481, and "...Service Discovery" was UDO on Port 4482.  (Doesn't matter which, just that one is on a different port than the other.)
How?  Open the Windows Security Center -> Windows Firewall -> Exceptions Tap -> Scan down until you find the two applications above.  By highlighting and clicking EDIT you can determine what port numbers are assigned and make the fix by deleting opposing assignments as mentioned.
Sorry for this verbose message, but this was a hassle for me, and I hope it helps someone else before they either give up or start tearing away their hair in frustration.
(NOTE:  This is my first post here, so if this should be located in another area please do send it there or let me know what I should do.)

So, this is interesting.  I appreciate the post.
I, too, had issues with Bluetooth connectivity with DM 4.x.  I ttried many times, even had the native Windows drivers installed, and all worked except that the ability to select the BT option in DM was greyed out and not available.  Is this the problem you had and that this fix solved?  I never did figure it out and subsequently reloaded Windows after a HDD crash and it's worked after that.
I currently have DM6 and haven't even bothered with Bluetooth on the PC because it's always been more trouble than it's worth.  I do have the 4 entries in the Windows Firewall as you describe but my Windows Firewall is turned off (don't remember if it was turned on before but i don't think so).

  • HT204368 LG tone+ 730 bluetooth connectivity issue

.  Is anyone else having trouble with connectivity after the latest IOS update?  The headset pairs but none of the buttons work.

Both devices need to be in discover mode. Check the manual for the earpiece and make sure you are putting it into discovery mode. The iPhone will, when Bluetooth is turned on, display Now Discoverable.
