HT2101 How do I prevent my new iphone 4 from getting hot in the first place?

I got a new iPhone 4 for Christmas. It is constantly overheating and getting insanely hot when charging. My battery life is suffering, it takes hours to charge and loses battery life very quickly. How can I prevent my device from getting hot in the first place? I use it in a room temperature environment and only have about 2 apps running at one time.

Idealy you should move your itunes content from your old computer to your new one

Then just sync your iPhone with the new computer. It will ask to erase but as everything in in your new itunes this is OK. Then choose what to sync back onto your iphone

I had this problem too with my newly bought iPhone 4s.I went to a technician shop to ask what the problem is and they said they could fix it however they would charge £35 and I believed this was too much. I was playing around with my iPhone to see if I could fix this problem I went on setting the clicked on the music section at the music section there is the button called sound check which was off so I decided to turn it on . After I turned it on my sound came back I was ecstatic I saved myself £35 and having to return the phone.

I got a iphone 5 on contract with 3 in august /september time my phones hardly been used its used rarely by my self and just gets hot on the sides and back ive reset my phone to see if any difference and there is none

I would contact applecare about this issue. a hot phone is not normal , a warm phone is.
but if you contact applecare that way you have a record of the issue incase it gets worse in the future.

While it isn't as easy to just use a Mac iDevice as media storage as Android and Windows, you can add documents and such like Word, PDF and others manually in iTunes to have them sync as well.

What happens if I restore my new iPhone from backup but keep the old phone on?

I currently have an iPhone 5 and have the 6+ on the way. I'm worried about the size of the 6+ so I'd like to test it out for the 14 day period. If I set up the 6 by restoring from iCloud backup can I still keep my 5 up and running. I wasn't planning on transferring my cell service over to the 6 yet and just running off wifi. Obviously iTunes is going to see both phones as being the same device so that would cause a problem but what if I left wifi sync and iCloud backup on the 6 off. Would this setup work? Thanks in advance.

What I mean is still track my stolen one. I don't know if this will make sense to you but I'm thinking that if I restore the back up data on this phone..on my stolen phone it will like forget the icloud account or something and think this phone is the stolen one so when I go to track the stolen one, it will show that phone as the one I have now because I restored the back up from that phone.

How do I prevent single-page PDFs from appearing inline in the email body?

When someone sends me a multiple page PDF, the email contains an attachment icon. When I click on the icon, the PDF is opened full-screen. When I click on the screen, icons appear including a box with an arrow pointing up. Clicking on this icon, lets me send the PDF to other applications such as iBooks.
When someone sends me a single-page PDF, the PDF is displayed inline in the body of the email and I do not see a way to send the PDF to other applications. Is there a way to view the PDF full-screen and thus send the document to other applications?

What you are experience is totally normal and the expected behavior for a single page PDF as an attachment in an email. You can easily save it to another app by simply tapping and holding down on the open PDF and the Open In window will pop up. It may take a little practice but it does work. Just tap and hold down on the open PDF.

Purchased Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro a few years back. Disc is missing. How can I purchase a new disc from your company for the same software. I don't want to upgrade at this time. Thanks

You are not likely to find a disc available. You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

How can I stop an old iphone from getting text?

I just upgraded to a 4s and everytime I get a text, it comes in on both of my devices (only when in wifi for the old phone - no sim anymore obv). I'm using the same apple ID and the same iCloud for both devices. It doesn't seem there is a setting in "messages" that disables all text, only imessage or sms messasges. Any thoughts?

Have you tried turning off iMessage on your old phone or deleting your Apple ID, for iMessage? You can receive iMessage at both your Apple ID & cell number. When your old phone is connected to WiFi, it's obviously using your Apple ID to receive these messages, so first try deleting your Apple ID, for receive, for iMessage, on your old phone.

So are you telling me that anyone I ever send n email to will appear in the drop down list but not in contacts? I don't have that many contacts on list so are younsayingmi would have to remove them all to remove the unwanted address in the drop down to go away? If that is not please explain
