My mom bought me an iPad 4 recently and I noticed that it gets too hot specially on the lower left area. And it bothers me. Should I be alarmed?

I have a 3rd generation iPod touch 32gb and it will not turn off, nor will it charge. Plugging in to my computer, iTunes does not even detected. Even if I leave it to charge, it does not detect it. Replace the battery. If that does not work, then system board is toasted...

What can I do my ipad is getting hot and charging slow

My Ipad is getting hot and charging is very slow. I plugged it in this morning and after 7 hours is only at 78%. It was also losing its charge fast in the last week.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

IPad 3 getting hot n warm after half n hour (approx) of continuous use

My new ipad 3 32GB Is getting hot/warmer from the left hand side both at top n bottom. I use to feel this after using iPad for approx half n hour, I can't understand why is this happening. Is there any permanent solution for this.....?

Maybe, next itme, read reviews on the new ipad before buying it.
Most of the people who buy a new iPad, knows about the heat issue and they are ready to take it.
I knew about the issue, that's why I bought an iPad 2 and I am so happy with it, no heat issues.
Don't worry too much, it is not going to melt the plastic, it has been tested, otherwise you would not have seen this in the shops.
Relax and enjoy that fantastic piece of technology!.
I have an Android phone and an iPad 2 and I love the competition!
Better experience with Apple, that's for sure. But better apps and new technology with Android.

Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time (>=70,) then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.
Install iStat Menus 4.05 to provide actual temperature readings and fan speeds.

well after thirty minutes or so my iPad 1 starts getting hot and temperatures continue to increase ..
This also happens while charging.
I just wanted to know if this is normal ..

My iPad (1st Gen) does get a little warm to but not 'hot', even after more than an hour of usage.
Are you using it outdoor in direct sunlight or in a 'hot' closed environment/room?
Having aluminium/metal casing, it might radiates heat more readily than plastic/glass coverings when subject to warmer than normal ambient temperature.
Otherwise, if it is still under warranty (or AppleCare) I would suggest making appointment with the Genius Bar at an Apple Store. It might be a faulty product.

I have a ipad 4 and it gets really hot when I play apps like mass effect (I can see why because of the graphics) but like clash of clans and all that it just over heats and was wondering is it support to overheat please help

Well, I would have to guess this is normal on the hi-res displays, although I am not sure. I only have a iPad 2, and I only suffer from battery drainage when playing RealRacing 3. I have never played clash of clans, but it does not seem like one of those games that would do that.
How hot is it getting? Is it really that bad? iPads are not suposed to get hot, so I really do not know what is going on. You could posibly go to a Apple store and get it replaced if it is really that bad (like getting a overheating error message).
If you could send a post back it could be a little easier for someone else, because I honestly do not know much about overheating and iPads.

Definitely not typical, bot probably normal. iOs7 uses more power than former versions, thanks to the continual use of Bluetooth, Backtround App Refresh, and Airdrop. Disable these functions, and post with your results.

How hot? I would expect it to get quite warm after charging an iPad 3rd Gen for some time, but not so hot as to burn you. My 2nd Gen iPad's charger gets warm, but I would not call it hot.
I do not know of any published temperature of the charger. It would be interesting if you could use an infrared thermometer to get a surface reading.

Hey hie i purchased a new Ipad 2 wifi only when ever i connect to my wifi its pretty fast in the begining(1min) den its getting dropped. Internet from same wifi router in my laptop is constant. Whenever i refresh my router internet acess in ipad is good but just in few seconds its dropping. My router is 802.11b/g my internet connection is 2mbps plan. So any suggestions please? I tried changing router settings to mixed mode,only g mode and I completly restored my Ipad2 twice once erasing everything and once restoring again with the help of itunes. So i think der might be some solution for dis.

Fans Running Hard and MBP getting HOT!!!

When simply surfing the web and checking email, the fans kick on and the MBP bottom gets very hot...it seems to have just started doing this recently...is there something to fix this? Is there a setting? It is well ventilated.

This problem started on my MBP about two weeks ago.
I am only running Safari and the fans start running at 6000 rpm for about 10 or 15 mins then stops. It gets hot under the top left area. I mostly notice it running late at nite...
I contacted AppleCare and was transfered to a specialists. We went thru all the checks and did the PMU and PRAM reset with no change. Then the next day ran the Apple Hardware test from DVD one with no trouble found.
It was suggested that I send in the unit for repair but I am waiting (patiently) for a fix of my poor display (very grainy, light leakage, banding, etc) so am waiting to send it in.
This is also affecting my battery life. I was getting 4 hours under Safari usage but now only get 2.5 hrs on a brand new battery.

The first thing that you should probably do is remove the cover, if it is getting that hot. If it cools down at all, maybe that cover isn't ideal for your iPad.
But your iPad should get really hot and if I am reading your post correctly this occurs after a half hour of use?
From your post its difficult to tell if you have an iPad 4, that gets hot after one half hour of use .... or if you have an iPad, that gets hot after 4-1/2 hours of use.
