Just got my iPhone 5 & need to download my iPhone 3 info, then upload to new phone. When I log into iTunes, my husband's downloads show up. Why is his stuff showing up in my account?

You can check to see if the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed, that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed and if there are any 3rd party conflicts.

If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.

Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

I wanted to update to iOS 7, but first I had to make an update to the previous version. When I pressed update, I was shown a message saying that I have to connect to iTunes. When I did that, iTunes said I cannot restore the phone (which was the onyl way I could update apparentyl) but the phone is still showing the same message"connect to iTunes". You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you have one (very important)
2. Go to App Store and select a free app
3. Tap INSTALL APP
4. Create New Apple ID
5. Confirm Your Country
6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must use new Apple ID)
8. Create and answer your secret question
9. Select NONE for Payment Method
10. Fill in Billing Address
11. Submit application for new Apple ID
12. Wait for verification email
13. When email arrive, verify your account
14. Start downloading your free apps

You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device.

My iPod's screen says "Connect to iTunes" and when I connect it to iTunes it's telling me to restore, but I don't want to restore/lose everything on it. The "Connect to iTunes" message won't go away.

When I plugged my iPod into my macbook, a window for an iPod Touch software update popped up, so I clicked update, then it said that my iPod was over capacity or something similar to that, so basically I didn't have enough room for the update, which I thought was fine. So, I then connected it to iTunes and it told me I had to restore my iPod, it gave me no option other than to click "restore" But I don't want to lose everything that's on my iPod...but now I can't use it because the screen is still telling me to connect to itunes. How do I get out of restoring it?

If you have a graphic of iTunes and a cable displayed on your iDevice then it is in Recovery mode.

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like you are returning to an old iPhone that has been erased and you would like to set it up as a new device without restoring from a backup which would affect the name of your iPhone, as well as the contents therein. Basically, it seems like you may be stuck on a screen that is asking if you would like to restore your device from the backup that is filed under the name of your new iPhone, or if you would like to set up the device as a new device. I would suggest that you set it up as a new device to achieve your desired results.

Deleting apps on your phone does not remove them from your account. They can be re-downloaded for free from the App Store, or synced from your computer as needed.
The easiest way to manage apps is to connect to iTunes on your computer, go to the Apps page of your device in iTunes, select which apps to remove, then sync.
