I cant find my old Quicktime 7 license key. I can't get it from the Apple Store as the link for downloading software license keys was removed a while ago. So Apple did have a page where you could look up your previous software license keys years ago, but the Apple Store design of the present makes that next to impossible to find. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the link on the top of the second page of http://www.google.com/search?q=app+store+lost+quicktime+license It seems to mention something about QTP codes but you have to log into Apple.

Does anyone remember the old "quasi-arpeggiator" Logic feature?

I seem to recall that I was able to hold down a note (or chord) and Logic would automatically record notes according to a quantisation value such as 16th notes, with note velocities equal to channel pressure.
I know about the arpeggiator in the environment set to "ALL", and I realize that I could build a transformer to map mod wheel or pressure to note velocities, but I think there was another way to do this.
Maybe I'm thinking about Studio Vision? Does anyone remember how to do this?

A simple one where you can add multiple people's details and notes and just hit a search for their surname and up would come the details?

Does anyone remember the CrossGrade thing that Apple did a few years ago? My understanding is that it brought academic versions of FCP and Studio up to retail versions. Now I'm trying to upgrade to Studio 2 and the guy at the store who initially agreed with me that this is what the program did and then he went in back of the store to do some research and when he came back says that crossgrade only filled out the disks in the set i.e. if you had FCP 4 Academic and did the CrossGrade you would have Studio 1 Academic... If I misunderstood the program I can admit it but I have been under this belief for so long... So the big question is... Does or did the CrossGrade program bring academic software up to retail/ upgradable versions???

The crossgrade only exchanged Power PC versions of FCP/FCS for Universal Binary (Intel compatible) versions. The software on Retail and Academic versions is identical. The difference is in the license -you would need a completely new serial # to go from Academic to Retail.

Here's the steps to follow if your printer isn't turning on.
If you've gone through all those steps and you still don't have power, there are a lot of places that sell a replacement cord and supply for that printer.

The file type does not matter, the program you use to open the file does.
You need a newer version of word (or a third party program).
You can use openoffice as well.

My first Apple product in early 1981 was an Apple II+ with twin disk drives and a color monitor. My boss was so impressed with it that he bought me an official Apple Desk, complete with sidearm. It was such a nice piece I kept it all these years and recently gave it to my son for his iMac. Here is what it looks like today. Anyone remember this item? [It was expensive, on the order of $800 if memory serves me well!]

I am trying to use the iCloud on my laptop and I have downloaded the dashboard for this but when I enter my Apple ID it tells me it is an apple id but not for the cloud. What or where do I go to get that ID?

As was clearly explained on that download page for iCloud control panel, while you can use an iCloud account on a Windows machine, you cannot create an account from one.
You need an Apple device to create an iCloud account. Afterwards, you can use that account in Windows, but to get Apple's free iCloud service, you have to create the account initially from an Apple device.

Does anyone use the Flickr plug-in for Aperture?

Is it safe? Can/Should I use it? Otherwise what is the best way to go about exporting from Aperture to Flickr?

The problem with the flickr integration is that Aperture is given permission to delete photos on flickr. I personally think Apple should've left this out. Many people on flickr are reporting losing online versions and masters all in one swipe. A BIG nono.

I want to buy a nano for audiobooks only and want to know if it has enough capacity for a few books.

Import the audiobooks from CD into iTunes (or other source) and see how big they are. See if all the ones you want are less than 1GB, 2GB, or 4GB, depending on the size of the iPod nano you would get.
I would say that the iPod nano is capable of holding a few audiobooks, though.

I can't remember my password of the old apple id for unlock my iPhone 4s.

I did everything for confirm that apple id is mine.
I opened website ‘iforgot.apple.com’ and do it to follow things that they tell.
The last things, they told me that ‘When you recieve your sign in information, follow the directions in the email to reset your password’
BUT NOW I DIDN'T GET SOME DIRECTIONS FROM THEM.
I have to wait ? How long ? Or something alse ?
