Connect the iOS device to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

For how to restore:
iTunes: Backing up, updating, and restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: How to back up
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes.
You can redownload iTuns purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Remi,
How long did you hold these buttons for? Did you try more than once? Have you tried letting it charge for a bit and trying again?
If nothing else, see this article for more troubleshooting assistance.

If you have forgotten your passcode lock is the only way to unlock the phone to connect to the original computer? Is there no way to connect to itunes? HELP!
Restoring as a new device means you will loose everything. You can restore from a backup, but if that backup includes the same passcode you cannot remember now, then it will just put it back in place and you will be right back where you are. If the backup does NOT include the passcode currently on the device, you can restore from that backup.
If restoring as new, you will loose any pictures in camera roll not already saved somewhere else (like your computer). You will loose any contacts also not already saved somewhere else.
Once you've restored the iPhone though, you can re-sync the contacts and other content from your backup copies on your computer. iTunes and App store content can always be redownloaded. -
What to do if you've lost your iPod Touch, and it has a Passcode? Please help!
I need some major help!
My iPod Touch has been misplaced by me. It has a passcode. I have it set to where it automatically asks to connect to Wi-Fi when around the Wi-Fi, but since it has a passcode lock, I doubt that will happen in the lock screen. I put it into lost mode on Find my iPod/iPhone, but it's pending and must connect to Wi-Fi to begin anything I remotely do.
Can anybody help me out?- The FindMyPhone app only allows you to locate one iOS device using another iOS device.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod (Settings>iCloud) and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and and go to FIndMyiPhone. You can also wipe the device, and have it play a sound .If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- Apple will do nothing

TS1372 what does it mean when you cant restore your ipod nano and it gives you the code 1433 ?
How do i fix it ?
Some users have been able to resolve this issue by simply closing iTunes and re-opening it. It might even be necessary to reboot your PC.
Otherwise, reset the Nano with it still connected to a high powered USB 2.0 port on your PC and then try to restore it again.

What does that mean when your iPod only charges when you battery dies? (meaning: when my battery isn't dead it wont charge but when the battery is dead thats the only time it will charge)
- See:
iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
- Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
- Try another charging source
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

WHAT DO YOU WHEN YOU CANT UNLOCK YOUR IPOD
What do you do when you can not unlock your ipod?
Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes. You may have to place the iPod in recovery mode to restore it. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
More information as to the current status of the iPod and what you tried would have been useful. -
What do you do if your ipod shattered
What do you do if your ipod shattered?
Not for free. If by "shattered" you just mean the screen, Apple will replace your iPod for their standard fee:
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/
If, however, by "shattered" you mean that the iPod is in multiple pieces, then Aple can do nothing for you. You'll have to buy a new iPod.
