HT2481 iPhoto locks up all the time
I have a lot of photos in iPhoto that I want to delete but every time I try to empty my iPhoto trash, the program locks up and I get a "Not Responding" indicator in the Force Quit list. What do I do? I've tried this several times always with the same result. I've tried to go on Time Machine to before the time of the vapor lock but that does not work either.
I tried that but I cannot get them out of the trash. I click on trash and I see a lot of rectangles of dotted lines and I can't get them back out of the trash.

You don't tell us what year model MBP you have. Also, there is no such thing as iOS 10.9.5, but there is Mac OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks. In addition to that, tell what you mean exactly by "... locking up all the time..." and What you Did exactly when you "... undid it once before..."

Why does my reminders app lock up all the time?

Mac generally misbehaving and locking up all the time.
Hey all, hoping one of you can help me out here.
I bought a 13" white macbook in march of this year and basically isnt working the way its meant to. A few days after first having it the mac just froze up and wouldnt respond to anything other than switching off and trying again.
Thought it was a 1 off and ignored it, it then did it a few more times over the first month but just brushed it off again.
Its progressively got worse, and whereas it only did it occasionally to start with, about a month or so ago it did it 4 times in 20 mins.
Everytime its crashed its been when I have being doing different stuff, browsing internet, writing essays,just browsing iphoto, playing the sims, nothing constant about each crash.
Seeing as it does just keep happening more and more often I decided to go to the genius bar on friday to see what they said.
I was told there was only a few issues that would cause this, either software, overheating, hardware or something wrong with the hard drive.
So the guy who was helping me out there checked the hard drive twice, nothing wrong. I know its not down to overheating cause it never gets that hot, ran a hardware diagnostic thingy and wasnt that either, so as a last resort he reinstalled the OS on it as that should have fixed the problem.
Yesterday it decided to start locking up on me again.. so have booked another appointment for monday to see if they can work out what the issue is, but just getting really annoyed that something that is only a few months old is just obviously not fit for purpose
Anyone got any ideas as to why it doesnt want to behave?I have looked for the crash logs before and in the apple store they did check for them. There isnt a crash report for everytime it has crashed but I was told you dont always get them as sometimes the system locks up before it has a chance to write one or something along those lines.
Ive had 2 crashes since my visit on thursday, one I have data for and the other there was nothing that I could see.
All my crash reports are to do with iphoto, but I reinstalled all of that friday night as it refused to open and was giving me errors..
I did find this under the error console the other night at the approx time of the first crash

The aperture on my camera app locks up all the time.
I have a relatively new iPhone 5. Sometimes I can use the camera, but frequently the screen will get red/purple lines across it (most of the screen) that flash on and off and then the aperture locks and I can't use the camera again during that session. Usually I can turn the phone on and off multiple times, and the aperture still doesn't work. And then, days or weeks later, I'll try to use the camera again and it will work for one or two photos, and then the same thing happens again. I think that it starts to work again after I do a synch with my computer, but I'm not positive that always fixes it. The iOS software is current. Any ideas?

Does e17 lock up all the time for everyone, or just me?
Every time I install e17 it locks up X on me frequently. It doesn't do it when it's just idling, but I feel like if I click too much or too fast, it'll freeze on me.
It's very frustrating because it's like this every time I install it, which is about once a month, because I really want to use it.
And this happens on the first run, where I haven't even loaded it up with modules. I'll be changing the theme and it'll lock up on me.
A lot of people say that it's been super stable, but not for me.
I do have an Nvidia card with the latest proprietary drivers and I always install e17-svn from the community repos.

My ipod mini locks up ALL THE TIME
I think I may have gotten a lemon. My ipod mini just stops playing and none of the buttons work until I reset it. This happens at least once every time I use it sometimes two or three times. Really annoying. My boyfriend has an ipod mini and uses it at least 7 hours a day. His has only needed to be reset once ever.

My iPod 160GB classic is locking up all the time
I do a hard restart, as described by Apple support, and it comes back. Then a couple of days later I will be listening through the USB connection in my car and it will lock up again. So i was advised to attached my iPod to my MAC and restored it to factory settings. Still happens. I had a great deal of music on my iPod so i deleted about 15% still doesn't help. Is this looking like a hard drive issue?

Num Lock key set to be on all the time

I bought a new Apple I bought a Mac Pro Retina screen, since I got it keeps crashing ALL the time!!! This is my first Mac computer and I am hating it!!! I assume I can take down to the any store and they will replace it??
I have a similar problem, my MBP Retina 15" 6 weeks old crashes and locks-up all the time with just about every application. I now have gone back to using my old MS XP system, it is much more stable than Mountain Lion OS and Apple hardware. I use Window-7 at work for last 6 months, not a single crash and/or lock-up. I'm looking at returning/selling my MBP and getting a Window-8 system, Apple is now building crap hardware and software. I recommend you consider the same solution. Good Luck !

Download and run the free application TinkerTool (not "TinkerTool System"), select the Finder tab, and uncheck the box labeled Show hidden and system files. Then click Relaunch Finder.

Should an auto-shutdown because of critical battery change kernel_task usage at all?
