HT2486 Finding someone in a group

So you set up Groups in the Address Book and drag names into each group. But how do you find what group a person is in? In other words, I know Joe Bloggs is in one of my groups but I can't remember which one. Is there some easy way of locating which group he's in without having to open each group list?

On the page with groups on the left and contacts on the right, highlight the user, press the Option key down and look for the appropriate group to highlight. It's very subtle so look closely.

We are maintaing product cost on Cocode currency and group currency using CK11. We are not able to find the cost in group currecy in MEBW or KEPH.

Did you mean you have cost component split in controlling area currency? if yes, then you will get for each costing calculation two records in table KEPH, the currency label is field LOSFX. The record with blank LOSFX is company code currency, the one with "X" is controlling area currency.

If you are not sure into which Function group your FM should go in then its advised to create a Function group of your own. Its not advised to create a function module in any other function group unless its owned by you since your FM can get deleted by others or it can get changed.
Create your own Function group. But if you want to create in an existing FG then best way is to find out the Function Group by searching for suitable existing Function module then see their function group

Your question and description is not very clear to me, so hopefully something here will help:
1. Gmail is a service not an app or a place. So you need to access the service with an app - that can be iPhoto, Mail, Outlook or any other mail client, or even a Web Browser like Safari or Firefox.
So you can't "go to GMail" as you write, but instead you go to an application set up to use the GMail service.
2. iPhoto is not a mail client. It's a handy way to email pics to Grandma, but for what you're doing you need to use an app that supports all of the Gmail service. iPhoto doesn't. There is no way around that.
3. How to send to groups will vary depending on what app you use to access the GMail service. All of these apps can receive photos from iPhoto, either - as in the case of Mail and Outlook, via the Share function - or, in the case of all the rest - via a Media Browser.
For help sending to Groups using any of these other apps you need to ask omn their respective forums. But the workflow is quite simple:
Using Mail or Outlook set in the iPhoto Prefereneces:
1. Select the pic(s) you want to share.
2. Choose email from the Share function
3. Make your selections re size etc
4. The email opens up in Mail or Outlook
- from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
Using any other app:
1. In the mail app create a new email
2. Click on the Attach button or link
3. Use the Media browser to select the pic(s) you want to send
4. Attach them
- from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.

Adding someone to a group

I created a group called sndusers and used the usermod -G sndusers <user> command to add someone to the group. This worked great, problem is once I restarted it didn't. How do I keep my user in the group? As of now I have to log out of X, type that, then go back in for my sound to work..

Unlike sp00n (no disrespect intended,) I cannot suggest you forget about the standard methods of doing things. While it may be a pain, user & group settings help protect your system. Sound systems and programs which access them, are often an easy method for someone to attempt to hack a PC since so many people leave them vulnerable.
Anyhow, I can't verify the problem you mention. When I tested this, it worked fine for me. I can only assume you are doing this as root and have otherwise set the /etc/devfsd.conf file properly. You can quickly verify if the user is in this (or any other) group by viewing the file /etc/group.
It isn't necessary to use the 'sndusers' group. You could select any group ID you desire. The key is ensuring they are set in devfsd.conf and the user is a member. Thus, on a single user system the group could be the same group which your primary GID. I really don't suggest doing this for security reasons.
If worse comes to worse and you can't figure out the command line stuff, try the KDE program kuser, assuming you have kde installed.

i got a backup for the files but even if they are on the mmc, when camera is connected fcpx doesn't see them. if i try to import a new shoot it works!!

Thx a lot Salty. As you suggest I found other staff on support pages. I deleted AVCHD structure and kept only .mts... Now what I need to do is to convert those files with handbrake or similar tool in .mp4 or .mov to make them digest to FCPX.

Finding someone to complain to

Help! I have been trying to find someone to just say sorry if nothing else but have wasted hours and hours being shifted from dept to dept to 'very nice people' who promise the next one will help. Succinctly last year BT deleted my email account. It took 18 phone calls over a week to reach a gentleman who took just ten mins to restore service - but sadly not emails. Can you imagine the inconvenience? My BT tv box has been faulty from day one and in Jan I was persuaded a new hub5 would solve all my problems. A ton of phone calls, software downloads etc means it works ok until you reach a critical part in your favourite programme and then it crashes. Thank god for Sky in another room - so we pay twice just to ensure we have a decent TV service. I wish I'd never joined BT. Every time I try to contact BT to complain, I get fobbed off and diverted. I have wasted absolutely hours and got absolutely nowhere and, for this truly appalling service, we pay a fortune. Any ideas of an English speaking person who can help? Next stop Financial Mail.
