How can I fast forward while the DVD is playing on my Mac? I'm trying to get it to move 1/2 way into the movie.

Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?

I signed in as my dad's ID, and now, I'm signed in as my own ID. The problem is, when I try to verify any update, it asks for my dad's ID password instead of mine. How can I fix this? I've already tried to sign in and sign out, but it doesn't work...
You need to delete and redownload those applications. His Apple ID is stored inside them.

Within music Library can anyone please explain why after I select the option to sort 'Album by Artist' a number of tracks are being treated as separate albums? How can I fix this? I have tried to manually correct by 'drag and drop' individual tracks but that doesn't work. My music library includes a number of repeat album artwork images simply because not all tracks are being listed under the one album making my library more difficult to use than it should. Any advise would be appreciated.

I backed up files onto an external hard rive form my old PC. Now I want to retrieve the files to put on my mac but it is telling me to format it to Mac. How can I do this without erasing all of the data on my hard drive?
Your drive was used with a PC and formatted NTFS which is proprietary Microsoft format.
You need to install a third party program that will read the NTFS format.
There is various software from PARAGON, Tuxera and NTFS-3G
When you get the data off and have verified it to be good, reformat the drive either HFS+ for Mac use only, or for Mac and PC use then MSDOS (FAT32) for under 4GB files (best) or exFAT (for larger than 4GB files) is proprietary and Microsoft is appling for a patent, which would likely mean OS X won't be allowed to read it anymore without a licensing fee and you'l have to pay another third party software company to read the format, just like NTFS is.
The less you have to rely upon third party sources to read your drives the better, this way if you have a issue and need to read the drive on another machine you don't need the software, and a internet connection and a credit card and...and...and... -
My husband and I share an Itunes account so use the same email address and password. Our iphones are now connected and we get each other's messages and share each other's contacts. How can we stop this happening?
A couple of different approached:
Create a second AppleID for one of you that includes the email address and phone number you wish to use for messaging, but do not apply it to the iTunes and app store (just keep the current one). My wife and I do this and it works quite well. Also allows for easier syncing of Contacts , notes etc. using icloud if you wish to do that.
Add additional emails/phone numbers to the existing account and change the Send/Receive settings for Messages. this will not fix the Contcts isues for you however. -
In 2012, I bought Photoshop CS6 Extended (education edition) for Mac. Now I want to install it on my new Macbook. I have the correct serial number and product code, but I receive an error message: the software may be a false copy etc....What to do?

Why won't my iPad mini download music or video's? I click the download button and it will say its downloading. Then once finished it will just disappear? How can I fix this problem?!?!
Are you using the same apple ID and password?
it seems all is in order, but perhaps the password isn't valid.
if the reset didn't work, try signing out of iTunes and App Store, then back in.
have you tried going to App Store - purchased and tapping on the cloud icon for the apps you want? You will still be asked for your password. -

The menu doesnt show up when the DVD is played...
i create a menu and the movie is added in a button. but when the dvd is inserted, the menu does not show up. it goes straight to the video, and when i press the menu button the remote, it says it is not permitted. what do i do?
so you mean i have to go to the map and then insert my movie? what i did was after i created the menu, i went to the plus sign on the bottom left corner, pressed add movie, then the button came up and i draged my movie to that button. is that not right?

First and foremost, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using at the moment has been discontinued and is no longer supported. On top of this, it has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I urge you to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and usability. You can get it for free, as always, at [http://www.getfirefox.com getfirefox.com].
In any case, and since you seem to be in the process of updating (you should have done so a while ago, since Firefox 2.0 has been discontinued years ago, I believe), your problems may exist because you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. I installed email notifier, which puts an envelope down in the lower right hand corner (along with the date, etc.) and then all I had to do was click on that and it would take me to my in box. Recently, I have to log in each time I want to open my email, even though I tell to keep me signed in. How can I correct this and go back to what it was.
I too would like to know why this is? It seems to have been only the last few months where I have this issue.
