HT2534 Can't download a free app even though I have selected "None" as my cc info, keeps asking me to supply cc info.
Instructions say I can download free apps without supplying cc info, but I continue to get "Verification Required" and "You must verify your payment info before you can make a purchase.

All downloads from iTunes are tied to the account that downloaded it, you can't re-download content via a different account. You checked the spam folder on yourr old account as well as the Inbox, and depending upon how long ago you did it, have you retried getting it reset : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password' ?

In Firefox Options / Privacy be sure "Remember download history" is checked. To see all of the options on that panel, "Firefox will" must be set to "Use custom settings for history".

i downloaded the iTunes update to 11.1. Normally I just download one audio boo to my iPhone (5) at one time, this time, even though I had "selected audiobooks" checked and just the one audio book checked, it downloaded all of them. That's taking up almost a gig of space on my 16G phone. Before I realized it was trying to download every book, i deleted about 500 pictures (okay, I really needed to delete them anyway...) along with a bunch of apps I never use, to make room for what I thought was just the one new book I purchased.... is there a fix for this?

This could be done in many ways so it's quite hard to pin point what's going on and how it's done.
The first thing I would do is to reset the the router you have, creating a new password for loging on in case they have gained access this way, then create a new password for the wireless network if you are using it.
Then reinstall your computer, if they/you have installed some software and gotten a Trojan, the only way to get rid of it to 100% is to reinstall. There is no meaning in trying to find it and uninstalling it since it's gotten this far allready.
Depending on what router you have, you might be able to get the logs and see from where they are connecting and trying to pinpoint their location.
There are probably other ways to find out more, but if this happened to me, the first thing I would do is to get rid of the problem, ignoring who they are.

Sorry, but you can't. The process only works when creating a new Apple ID. With an existing ID you'll have to provide a payment method at least temporarily.

We're just regular users and don't pay your way, so we can't do something. What you need to do is make sure your AppleID is up and active. This entails having a positive balance on it or having enabled an accepted payment method. This is on a country-by-country basis. Acceptable payment methods in the USA are not the same as those acceptable in, say, India.
Until the AppleID is fully activated, you can't use it to download apps of any kind, free or not. And that's the only way the App Store is gonna give them up. -

The short answer is no.
Unless you are selling the app via the Enterprise Deployment option, everyone has to download via their own iTunes account ID. Yes, iTunes can be used by multiple IDs but this makes it very messy to resolve later.
What kind of app is this? Which Expo? If an Expo for selling apps has poor Internet connection I would question the validity of using such an expo in the first place. -

You normally need to provide some sort of payment method (in part as proof of residence in the country) before you can get even the free apps. It is possible to set up a new iTunes Store account just for free apps, but you have to create a new Apple ID; you cannot use an existing one. If you want to do that, take a look here:

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note again that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free content without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

Simply, you can't download it.
If you want to upgrade to iphoto 11 then you'll need to either
1. Upgrade your OS to 10.7.5 - which requires a purchase of the OS
Or
2. Find an iLife 11 install disk. You may get one on Amazon or Ebay. -

Hi, I have just set up iTunes in my new computer and have 'synced' my iphone, however, my apps have not synced, I keep getting a message saying that this computer is not authorised to sync the apps even though I have authorised it. Try rebooting the router and see if that helps. unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.
You can also try restarting your iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
After logging in, the Apps tab has removed Lightroom 5 from my Installed Apps - even though I have it installed. The Find New Apps section prompts me to install Lightroom - but if I do that, what happens to my existing catalogues?
