You can't remotely turn on Settings > iCloud > Find My iPad, if you don't already have it enabled then you won't be able to try and locate it.
You've reported it to the police? You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc., and if it was a cellular model then also contact your carrier

    If you have the original receipts, you can take them to an Apple Store and they may be able to remove the activation lock. A good lesson learned to have an employee clear a device when leaving.

    my badge app icon for instagram is not showing i do have it turned on, I tried deleteing it & re installed & turning off my phone & back on can someone please help me?

    Assuming other apps display badges properly:
    1. Reset phone (no data loss): press both home and power buttons for at least 10 seconds, releasing when the Apple logo appears.
    2. Get support from the Instagram developer.  The app isn't isn't an Apple product.

    - go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
    - click on your country's flag
    - click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
    - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
    - then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

    I need help to a topic which was often discussed here. On my blackberry bold 9700 I have installed the world app ( can see it in software) but I Cant find the icon on my phone. I try a lot of solutions which are suggest/discussed in forums, but nothing works.

    Ok. Do a backup first.
    Use the BlackBerry Desktop Software. Reset the BlackBerry to factory defaults. http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB31291 Afterward, use the desktop software to add and remove applications. http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2011/02/add-and-remove-blackberry-apps/ Look for BlackBerry World. If it is not installed, install it.
    When you restore the backup, selectively just restore your personal data like address book and calendar. Do not restore settings or app data.
    When you launch BlackBerry World you will likely be prompted to update. Do it.

  • App icon placement

    I've contacted apple with a request that they include a way to select the home page location for app icons within iTunes. I like to keep my apps sorted. For example - utilities on one home page, sports on another, etc. It's annoying when I download a new app, and then have to move icons around. Maybe if Apple gets enough responses, they'll add this to a future iTunes update. Fill in the easy form at www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

    the newest software version (2.1) does keep them sorted. the only issue is NEW ones will go to either the first open spot or the last page (if all pages are full, which i guess again is the first open spot).
    that is a good idea tho, one which i would like myself.

  • App icons turned dark on iPad- help!

    Specifically, I opened my iPad, opened Facebook with the app. Scrolled through posts.  Closed it.  It's icon is darkened and I can't reopen it.

    Hey guys I believe It's because the apps are 'refreshing'. I think this is new to iOS 7 because I don't remember it happening before...
    If you go into your settings-->general--> and about halfway down the list is BACKGROUND APP REFRESH.
    I wish I could include a picture to make it easier but if you go into this setting you will see a list of all the apps that will refresh and also the master switch that turns them all off.. I'm not sure what it's doing when it's refreshing tho, maybe checking for updates or location?

  • PLEASE help!! I use Outlook for my email and the Mail App Icon in my dock was also storing all my emails. So, I tried to delete ONLY the emails in the Mail App but somehow (under Preferences maybe?) I also deleted all my emails in my Outlook inbox.

So, I tried to delete ONLY the emails in the Mail App but somehow (under Preferences maybe?) I also deleted ALL my OUTLOOK emails in my inbox.  Can someone please please tell me if there is a way to get my Outlook inbox emails back OR EVEN the emails that were in my Mail app - because even tho I never use the Mail app, at least the emails would be there.
    When I was trying to delete the emails in my inbox for the Mail app - I followed THESE directions.  It did in fact clear my inbox for the Mail app.  But then I went to log on to my Outlook account and EVERY SINGLE EMAIL was gone.  And not in the Deleted box.  Just gone.  Here are the directions I followed that screwed everything up.  Please help.
    Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Mailbox Behaviors.
    Uncheck "Store deleted messages on the server".
    At the drop list for "Permanently erase deleted messages when", choose "Quitting Mail".
    Next...
    Top menu bar, Mail > Preferences > General.
    At "When searching all mailboxes, include results from", uncheck "Trash".
    Select All = command A

    i found out my prob!
    here is what you do.
    go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
    click "software updates".
    click "installed software"
    if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
    go to mail.
    click "mail" at the top.
    click "preferences...".
    find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
    hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!
    its something with that update that effected mail, i hope this works out for you, if not reply back
