I want to buy the NFL Game Pass package to view this season on my iPad 2 which I bought and registered in the U.S. I now live outside the U.S. but a message in the app store says I cannot download the app from the U.S. store. By the way the product can only be viewed outside the U.S. once purchased. The problem is how to purchase it without access to the app store.
Support for NFL Game Pass apologized and advised to create a new International iTunes account. In reading a product review I see one person living in Hong Kong created what he called a dummy account, downloaded the app, bought the package and it still doesn't work. Before following this advice I wanted to know of any comments or suggestions. Thanks!

It's not a matter of changing the country. The issue is your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

I have the NFL Game Pass APP on my Ipad 2 here in Germany. It works great on the Ipad and I am now attempting to connect to my HDTV with the Apple Composite AV Cable. When I use Itunes movies or YouTube videos, the video/audio are perfect; however, when I open the Game Pass while it streams a live game, I only get audio. What can I do?
I have the 1st Gen Apple TV....will Air Play work? Will a VGA cable work?

A 1stGen Apple TV will NOT work with AirPlay mirroring. However with this you can connect your iPad to your HDTV and both video and audio signals are sent to the TV.

You can use your iPad worldwide. However, each AppleID is tied to
a specific country's store. To use the AppStore in any country, you
must be in that country and have a credit/debit card issued by a financial
institution in that country with a verified billing address in that country.
It is the developer's choice which AppStores he makes his app available
from, and some countries prohibit certain apps.
To make a purchase from the US store (including downloading a free app
available in the US store), you must be in the US and have card issued
in the US with verified billing address in the US.
You can use your purchases from the SA store worldwide, but you
cannot make purchases in other than the SA store unless you meet
the aforesaid conditions.

Why can't I find NFL Game Pass in the App Store?

I live in Hong Kong and just purchased a subscription to NFL Game Pass. It says I need to download the app from the App Store in order to watch the games on my iPhone 4, but when I search the App store I can not find it. I've searched for it several ways: "NFL Game Pass", "Game Pass" and just "NFL"

Try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your device and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select the Philippines.

TS1702 Game Center app will not open, in setting I only have a spinning icon , which seems like it can't download the app.

It tells me I need to erase and reformat the hard drive then reinstall the operating system. I do not have a back up of all my applications, my garageband music and other things. I also do not have time capsule set up on this machine, but I do have a 2 TB time capsule.
Is there anyway to back up this corrupted drive so I can restore my applications later?

There's an old saying. If you don't have a backup disc, then there must be nothing important to backup. That's just lesson #1. Lesson #2 is to never interrupt a software update. Not a good thing.
OK, I'm sure you know this. It just upsets me to read your story, knowing you have a lot of important stuff on your hard drive, and didn't use time machine.
You're pretty much in a bad place. My only hope for you is to boot to your Installation Disc, then using disk utility see if you can save the internal hard drive (by fixing what can be fixed). You might be able to see your user folder and some of your apps. I wouldn't even consider copying the library, because who knows what's been corrupted in there.

Majority of the important apps are not available yet for Q5. Any updates on when this will be available. Like Viber and WeChat. WeChat is already available and it says that it's compatible with OS 10 but why is it unavailable for the Q5 in specific? Isn't Q5 running on OS10 too!?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
App compatibility is the same as it has always been for BBs. All apps must be specifically ported to the exact device model number AND major OS level in order to function. That means a lot of porting for the developers, and sometimes they choose to not do so. An app that functions on Z10, for example, will not function on the Q5 unless the developer specifically ports the app for the Q5 (and pushes it correctly out via BBWorld).
Likewise, it's up to those app developers to choose what platforms they desire to support. If they do not support a platform that you desire, your channel to push for it is with the developer directly, contact information for which can normally be obtained in the BBWorld catalog.

I live in the Czech Republic and just bought an Apple TV. I have a US and a Czech iTunes account. I have both accounts on my Apple TV connected to the internnet via Ethernet. I do not have AirPlay. I just signed up for NFL Game Pass for 2013, i.e. I have a current subscription. I log into my Czech iTunes account, but when I look at the available "channels" Game Pass isn't there. What do I have to do to watch Game Pass on my Apple TV? Thanks.

Hi Alxx911, and John Hammer1. After reading John's reply - " You can plug something into it's headphone jack. though" . I thought i'd try out of curiosity. I plugged in some headphones. I didn't expect anything to happen and nothing happened. The audio jack is for the Dell soundbar which is optional.
Here's a direct copy and paste from the users manual: Section About Your Monitor.
Attaching the Soundbar AX510 / AX510PA (Optional) CAUTION: Do not use with any device other than the Dell Soundbar. NOTE: The Soundbar power connector (+12 V DC output) is for the optional Dell Soundbar AX510/AX510PAonly. To attach the Soundbar: 1. Working from the back of the monitor, attach the Soundbar by aligning the two slots with the two tabs along the bottom of the monitor. 2. Slide the Soundbar to the left until it snaps into place. 3. Connectthe Soundbar with the DC power connector. 4. Insert the mini stereo plug from the back of the Soundbar into the computerís audio output jack. For HDMI/DP, you can insert the mini stereo plug into the monitorís audio output port. If there is no sound, check your PC if the Audio output is configured to HDMI/DP output.
This monitor has no speakers. (Like John Hammer1 mentioned). The no speakers feature was one of the reasons I chose this monitor.
