HT2534 "None" is not available as a payment type.

It appears that Apple no longer allows the creation of an iTunes store account with out a credit card or Paypal account. It may allow a certificate but I do not have one. So for me there is go going further and setting up this account.

Found another discussion that explains this: Creating Apple ID without credit card

  • How do I find the option of 'no payment'?It is not available on the payment type page.I wanna download a free app without providing payment details at present.

I wanna download an app without providing payment details. But unable to find the 'no payment' option on the page. What should I do?

    Hi Aaradhya2002,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If the account you are using has already been created, you will have to add a payment method to verify the account. You can add the payment method and then remove it directly after it is added. If the account has not yet been created, please use the following article for instructions on how to create the account without a payment method.

  • HT2534 None not available in the payment options?

Why is the none not available in the payment options in itunes?

Did you follow, exactly, the instructions on that page when creating the account ? I've tried it today in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option : https://discussions.apple.com/message/24321860#24321860
And I 've just tried it again and also got the 'none' option

  • "none" option not available = aggravated customer

i recently put my Visa Gift Card to use on itunes, but i used it all up. So i went ahead and bought an Itunes Gift Card, thinking i could buy more music, apps, etc.. so i tried to purchase a song , but it wouldnt let me because my "credit card" information is not correct. Now i understand that i cannot change it back to "none" and that aggravates me. Does Apple not realize that they're going to lose alot of costumers because they did the same thing i did, but they wont be able to buy music anymore unless they create a new account. And i refuse to create a new account because i have $25.00 worth of credit from my itunes giftcard that i CANNOT USE. And i dont want to put in my actual credit card because everytime i purchase something, it will take it out of my credit card, not from the $25.00 i have from the itunes card. I dont know why Apple decided to remove the "none" selection for existing users. i think its absurd. And this adds to my "list of issues" with Apple. I am highly considering switching back to Android because i never had any problems like this. I know i sound like a stuck up nag, im sorry, but i am just frustrated. It feels like Apple wants to trick us into using our credit cards so that later, we wont have an option to cancel it, so they could get more money out of us. All i want, is to be able to use my $25.00 credit, otherwise, i just spent money for nothing, and my itunes credit will just sit there forever.
Sorry for being so dramatic, im just really mad.

There is a specific reason why 'none' is not available here. Check with

  • HT2534 I'm in New Zealand, and Amex, Discover and None are not available

I'm in New Zealand, and Amex, Discover and None are not available

I am having the same issue. I've been told by Apple Support that Amex isn't accepted in the NZ iTunes store, even though all iTunes store support pages still say it is.
When I changed my store to Australia it appeared as an option (not helpful as my Amex is NZ).
You can't even purchase an electronic Gift Card via the web-based Apple store - only a physical one that has to be mailed out. If you want an electronic Gift Card you can only purchase it through the iTunes store, so not particularly helpful either.
But in the end it was my only option (yes, Amex is accepted as payment in the web-based NZ Apple store...).
Now I just have to wait 4-6 days for it to be shipped to me.

  • "None" option not available.

I am trying to setup my account withou attaching a credit card. I've been told to select the "None" option, but I am not getting that option to choose. I am only able to select from the different credit cards or PayPal. WHat can I do? Thanks.

Are you trying to create an account in the iTunes Store, or in the App Store? If you're going to the main iTunes Store, you may not be able to select "none" as an option since the iTunes Store is required to verify your country of residence which takes some sort of payment method; a credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, or PayPal account. Once you set up an account with a credit card, you can usually then go in a remove the card information (the option for "none" probably will then appear) if you don't want your card information sitting in the iTunes Store.
If you only want the free iPhone apps, take a look here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is apparently critical. This seems to come and go, or only apply to App Stores in specific countries, so you may not see the option for "None" when asked for a payment type.
Note that this only applies to the App Store; you will not be able to get any of the free content in the iTunes Store without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)
    Regards.

  • HT2534 "none" does not appear as a credit card option?

I follow the instructions on setting up an iTunes account without a credit card (so I can download album art) but the "none" does not appear as a card option after following the instruction to first download a free app.

There are instrctions on this page for how to create a new account (it won't work with existing account) without giving a credit card number : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 e.g. select a free app in the store and click on 'create Apple id' when 'buying' it.

  • Provisioning log is not available on Access request type Change Account

    Hi,
So I have and issue when I try to submit a request to add a role to a user and I'm trying to understand what could be the reason for it.  Basically I have a workflow that works perfectly for a "Change Request".  I can see that all the steps are executed and then at the end of the request when is suppose to do the actual role assignment I see the message "Provisioning log is not available" then the approval path is finish and the request is closed but when I take a look at the user in the back end the role is not assign.  In terms of access I have try giving SAP_ALL to WF-Batch, nothing shows in Yellow or Red on SLG1 and in SPRO->AC-> User Provisioning -> Define request Type I see "Change Account" with SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST.  What else can I do to troubleshoot this error?
Note: I when back to the  to the AC 10.0 Pre-Implementation From Post-Installation to First Access Request and everythings looks right in terms of the AC Configuration settings.

    Hi Jonathan,
In my question I was referring to SPRO - GRC/access control/user provisioning / maintain provisioning settings. Those need to be setup (min. global provisioning settings) in order to have role being assigned to user at the end of path.
Change account option you can see under request type is referring to change user master data(e.g. password/ account validity / details).
Is this system maintain by CUA? If so settings have to be different (see CUA settings in SPRO)
I would recommend moving to SP14 as in SP13 there were many bugs, by the way I believe the worst SP ever since beginning of AC is SP13 (maybe due to number), as it destroys many working functionality.

  • HT2534 ummm, we don't have the none button to select for our payment type, how can you set it up without that button or a credit card??? apple isn't doing to good of a job so far and i'm not impressed

Hi, I'm setting up an account for my brother, but apparently we need a credit card. Neither of us own one and the system won't let us continue without one. Now I know that there's supposed to be a none selection, but it won't appear on ours. How can we continue if we don't have a credit card or the none selection button??? Help us please!!!!

When I created a new account on my computer's iTunes yesterday, I first logged out of my existing account. I then found a free app in the store, clicked on it's free 'price' to 'buy' it, clicked on 'create Apple id' and filled in details about the new account and which gave me the option of 'none' for the payment details - clicking on the 'verify' email that I received then allowed me to download a free app.
That is the process that you are using when you tried to create both new accounts ? The instructions won't work on existing accounts (even if the account has only been partially created), and you are in the country that you are trying to create the account for ?

  • How to avoid this Non-sensical not availability on Netherlands Antilles?

Overtime that I try to purchase and download Dreamweaver and Photoshop Elements
I receive a stupid and incorrect message about connectivity of Creative Cloud.
I live on Saba (a new kind of municipality in the Netherlands / Dutch Caribbean) and I want to purchase Dreamweaver or another Adobe program.
Downloading a test-version was not a problem but when I try to purchase Adobe Dreamweaver I receive the message
that this will be impossible because "The Netherlands Antilles" are not covered yet by ADOBE or by Creative Cloud.
I told Adobe that the Netherlands Antilles is not a legal entity anymore an don't exist.
    Adobe never answered my questions.
Where and how can I order Dreamweaver (preferrably in Dutch) on a CD or in another way?
    Hartelijke groet.

  • Apple id without credit card none option not available

    Hi,
I was trying to figure out a way to create a apple id without a credit card. So Google and all of them suggest that if you select an free app to install and login with your new id you will see "None" payment option but that didn't work.
But i want to share with all what work for me.
    1. Open your itunes make sure you logout
    2. Select the App Store and in Quick Links select "Redeem" as below image. Now login with your new Apple ID and you will see "None" Payment option.
    Thanks
    Nitin B.

If you follow, exactly, the instructions on to this page when creating a new account then you will get the 'none' option : Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, and Mac App Store account without a credit card

  • Premiere and AE for CC (non 2014) NOT available

The older versions of Premiere Pro CC (v7.0) and After Effects (v12.0) no  longer appear as downloadable apps in the Creative Cloud portal.  Will these be added back to the list of downloadable apps  so that users can self-install non-2014 CC apps as needed?

How to Get Apps From the App Store Without a Credit Card
    http://ipadhelp.com/ipad-help/how-to-get-free-apps-from-the-app-store-without-a- credit-card/
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534
If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click "iTunes Store" in the left navigation pane. Click the "down arrow" next to your name at the top right side of the page and click "Account." Enter your username and password and click "View Account" to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click "Edit." Select the "None" button and click "Done." Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.
