"Cannot send message using the server" pops up every time I try to send an email.  I can receive emails just fine.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?
You have a setting incorrect in the outgoing mail settings. Either the port is wrong or the server is wrong.
Please post what the server is and the port it is using. It should be something like POP.XXX.com/net or Mail.xxx.com/net.

  • Moved to a new house and now i can't send emails but i can receive them

I just moved to a new house and now i can not send emails but i can receive them...

    New houses can do that.
We need more info - what email service is this issue about.  Do you use several (gmail, yahoo, icloud,...) and is this issue the same for all?  If you also use a computer or other device, is this issue common to them all?

You need a DATA service enabled by your carrier to be able to send e-mail via thier network.  Do you have a data plan with your carrier ?  If so - is it enabled ?
Can you access internet thru your network (not wifi) ?

  • Cannot send emails (relaying)? Can receive

New ipad, set up my aol account, al good as can recieve emails but cannot send, a message about my server not allowing 'relaying'. Can anyone help please.
    Thanks Louise

I don't have AOL mail, but I don't think the fact you have it on iPhone is an issue.  I have all my mail accounts on my iPhone and iPad with the same logins and no issues on any device.
If I were you, I'd go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and delete the AOL account off your iPad.  Then, I'd set it up again using the directions in the link I provided and that may solve your problem.

  • My Gmail has been working fine until today. Now I cannot send messages. I can receive them fine.

I have a brand new computer, using Yosemite. My mail program has been working fine for several days, but suddenly this afternoon it is unable to send mail. I can receive mail just fine. I can send mail from a different email account. How can I fix this?

Since I installed IOS7, I can't send emails any longer, but I can receive them. How can I sort this out?

  • TS2755 I cannot send iMessages but I can receive them. Even if I have perfect signal I can't send an iMessage, and I have iMessage on in my settings.

I don't understand what is happening! This worked fine before I downloaded IOS7.

    Try this:
    1) Settings
    2) General
    3) Reset
    4) Reset Network Settings
This will reestablish the link for the cellular connection and the cellular data as well as the saved WiFi connections will be reset.
    Also Check this:
    1) Settings
    2) Messaging
    3) Ensure iMessage is turned on (sometimes it will turn itself off for some reason)
    4) Press on Send & Receive
    5) Ensure that all emails you want to be reached at as well as your phone number are listed there
Remember that iMessage requires a data connection so with out either cellular data or WiFi it will not work.

  • Unable to send emails. Able to receive them

    Using Q10 on M1 (Singapore)
    10.1.0.238
I have no idea why but this is just like the Z10 issue which I have been reading.  All the users are unable to send mail even when all the configurations are set properly.
I am using Singnet mail so the settings are as follows :
    Pop server : pop.singnet.com.sg
    Port : 110
    SSL : off
    SMTP server : mail.singnet.com.sg
    Port : 25
    SMTP encryption  : off
I am able to receive emails so the Pop setting is correct, but the SMTP is giving me grief and unable to send any emails out at all.  Anyone able to help or give a work around??

The issue is not the port but rather the fact that the smtp server works fine on their own network but when you're on another network it needs authentication for sending mail. This is an anti spam technique used my many ISP's. So, when you're sending mail over the mobile network it sees it as a different network and needs authentication.
Have you spoken to someone at Singnet about it or are you just going on the links posted above?

  • Can't send emails but I can receive them!

Aloha - I have a Droid and I can't send out any emails - they just hang up in my outbox.  Any suggestions?

Try a refresh on your e-mail account. Go your e-mail screen, where the account is listed, and long press the account name. A box will open with several choices -- press refresh. This may solve your problem.

  • Cannot send email from mail after moving to iCloud

I have just moved to iCloud and now I cannot send email but can still receive email

    Hi Judy,
    Problem solved.
Go into Mail/Acounts and delete you iCloud account.
Now add a new account and type in your details for MobileMe/iCloud.
It should now work. O noticed the default server name is different.
    Hope this helps.
    Yours,
    Charlie

  • I can receive AOL mail on my iPhone but I cannot send email.

I can receive email for my AOL account on my iPhone but I cannot send email from the iPhone. I can send email OK from a computer. I have AT&T service.

razmee209 (and others in this community)... HELP!
I have the same issue - I can receive email on my iPhone, but cannot send messages.   Keep getting error message:  (Cannot Send Mail - The user name or password for "SMTP:[email protected]" is incorrect
This issue occurred when I changed my AOL password.   I also updated my password on my iPhone.   After exploring this issue more deeply, it appears that my iPhone did not update my password for outgoing mail (as that are more "dots" in the password field for my outgoing server account, than for the incoming server passward that was just updated.
I am unable to change ANY of the information or settings in any of the outgoing mail server accounts - except only to toggle each account ON or OFF.   All other information is "greyed" out, and unavailable and inaccessible.
I know that if I could just change (or somehow sync) the outgoing password to match the new incoming password.
    PLEASE HELP!!
