I made my apple ID 3 years ago just using gift cards. Now I would like to actually add a credit card to it, but I can't figure out how from my iPhone. Help?

I am still waiting for an answer. I see numerous reply that do not answer the question, saying something like go into 'Payment Type' and select 'none'.
Well, that does not appear to exist on my account.
Also, why are there only options to say an answer 'Solved my question'!?
What is the point in this self-congratulatory, self-perpetuating cobblers!?
It's nothing short of sinister that there is not a clear and simple option on how to delete my credit card details from my account.
I would appreciate a proper response from Apple by return.

I've tried time and time again to add my credit card to my iTunes account. I tried so many times my bank account was locked and I had to call them to unlock it at least 3 or 4 times because I tried THAT many times. I've updated my area code with the extra four **** digits and nothing is working. This started around yesterday and is continuing. Anyone else having this problem that could possibly help or would I have to call Appl services?
BTW, I don't have a hard time with any other purchases elsewhere.

What happens when you try to add it, and is the address that is on your iTunes account exactly the same as appears on your MasterCard statements ? When you access an iTunes account from a new computer it will ask for the security code to verify that you are the one accessing the account. In a situation where you no longer have that security code, you would want to either add a different card, or you can email iTunes support to have the issue corrected.
