HT2597 Reinstall Mac os x but not hard disk appear on screen to select.

Just bought Mac mini 2010 model. Has to reintall Mac os x 10.6 on this Mac mini. After insert the installation DVD and selected language and agreed licensed use. The next step is prepare install. But there is not hard disk for select to install os x. Can anyone know what is the issue here. I am using the pc key broad and mouse. How to eject the DVD using pc keybroad. Thank you very much for your help.

To eject the Disc try holding Mouse button down when powering up.
Does the Disk show up in Disk Utility?

2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)

4. Select your Mac OS X volume.

There is a difference in what Kappy stated and what you stated. A major paid upgrade (v2.x to v3.0), yes, costs money, as it would in any other delivery stream. Updates (v3.0 to v3.1) to a a major version are free.
Most apps sold through the Mac App Store (MAS) are the type that use the simple drag & drop installation. Those are downloaded directly to the designated apps folder and installation is done. Large pro-type apps download an installer to your Apps folder. Those you can install at your leisure. The MAS does not have a lot of apps using this type of installation.
Be sure to always backup your MAS purchases, because there is no guarantee that the app will always be available for download in the future and it is your responsibility to archive copies.

you can download the mac os x recovery hd and run the setup to a flash drive using another mac computer running os x 10.7,(so that while installation the os x setup can varify your computer's serial no. and provide you the installation setup through internet)
or the time machine backup(if you have)
Now boot through the flash drive and follow the steps to install mac os x

This can be done from Single User Mode. You're going to need a little nerve though since everything is command line based.
1) Enter Single User Mode by restarting and holding down Command+S on the keyboard. A whole bunch of UNIX stuff will go by on the screen in white text on a black background. When it's done, the command prompt will be sitting at:
:/root#
2) Above that, you'll see that it tells you to enter two commands. Run this one first by typing it in and pressing enter:
/sbin/fsck/ -fy
This does a system file check. A good thing to do in your case as it may be damaged. It could take a while. When it's done, you'll be back at the :/root# prompt.
3) Enter the second command and press enter:
/sbin/mount -uw /
4) Type the following at the prompt:
cd /Users/name/Desktop
Where it says "name" above, the short name of your user account goes there. If you're not sure what it is, first type:
cd /Users
Then type:
ls
That's a lower case L, not a one. It stands for "list". You'll get a listing of all files and folders in the Users folder. So if your short account name is diane, then the command will be:
cd /Users/diane/Desktop
After entering that command, the prompt should read:
:Desktop root#
Type:
rm *.jpg
Be very careful to type is exactly as shown. rm followed by a space, then *.jpg. Press enter and all files ending in .jpg will be deleted from the Desktop folder. With 450,000 of them, you could be waiting a while for the prompt to come back.
Type:
exit
and press enter to boot back into OS X.

On an iOS 7 device
In the Photos app, tap Shared at the bottom of the screen, then tap Streams at the top of the screen.
Tap the shared stream whose subscribers you want to manage, then tap People.The Activity stream doesn’t have subscribers.
Do any of the following:
To invite more people, tap Invite People, enter email addresses or tap the Add button to select from your contacts, then tap Add.
To remove a subscriber, tap the subscriber, then tap Remove Subscriber.
To choose whether subscribers can add photos and videos, tap Subscribers Can Post.
If the subscriber list doesn’t include Invite People, you don’t own the shared stream.

Thanks for your reply. This video was recorded by my own professional camera, Sony PMW EX 3, two years back. But I am neither a professional cameraman nor an editor. I am just like a beginner in both. I didnt have space in my storage device, so I just copied all my clips, thinking I can edit it latter, without recompressing or editing or whatever I should have done it at that point of time. If it was free on your Air it should be free on your iMac too. Perhaps you should doublecheck that:
Your iMac is running Mavericks (the version of Numbers available for download from the App Store requires Mavericks)
Your iMac is signed into the same App Store ID (usually, but not always, the same as the Apple ID you use to connect to iCloud) as your Air.

You could save them to a file on your computer, using apps like PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Mac or Windows) then move that file back to your phone. I back up my messages as a PDF file. I could, if I wanted to, email that to myself and open it in a PDF reader app (e.g. iBooks).
There's no good way to do it on the phone itself.

Delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to reset the extensions registry.
