HT2638 Hi, I'm running on IPhoto 09 Version 8.1.2 & recently developed a problem I have recently developed a problem. I am unable to upload photos from my iphone the process will start and maybe upload a few then it freezes.
When i try to upload photos from my iphone iphoto freezes after a few have been uploaded, force quit shows that it is still running. I have left it running for days with no change. In addition Places is continually running, would this have an effect?
Help much appreciated.
The next step is to repair your main library: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Photos on the phone in the DCIM folder are those located in the camera roll. Photos that are synced to the phone from the computer cannot be accessed in this manner. They are synced and the only way to manage them is to connect the phone, go to the photos tab and un-select the folders you want to remove or go into the folder photos are located in and remove the photos you no longer want to sync. Then sync the phone and the photos will be removed.

My Ipod touch is acting very annoying. When i press the sleep/wake button to turn it on it just turns on with the apple logo and stays there. The screen will then blink white occasionally and the process will start again. Once when it turned white. i pressed the power and home buttons at the same time and then the above process continued.
Sounds like your iPhones software may be corrupt. Try placing the iPhone into recovery mode. To do this, follow the steps in this article:

I am trying to upload photos from my iPhone to my macbook but each time I plug my iPhone into the macbook, a message comes up which says my device is locked with a passcode and I cannot load the photos. When I plug my phone in, it is on the home screen and unlocked so I don't understand what I am doing wrong. This has never occurred before. Please help.

I can't upload photos from my iPhone to my iMac
Every time I try and upload photos from my iPhone 4s to iPhoto, it goes about halfway and then "quits unexpectedly". Any suggestions?
As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Connect your iPhone and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

I have a new iphone6+ and have paired it to my 3 cars. When playing music from my iphone, the volume is very low and I have to turn the car volume to max to listen. I had no issues with previous iphone parings. Pls help.

Apparently in iOS 8 there are different volume settings for different applications
The setting on the home screen does not carry over to Pandora for example and it is different ( or at least appears to be) for the in-car experience.
So I would try to stream the music when not in the car - see if you can turn the volume up and then try again in the car

You can do it like KiltedTim suggested or if you are on iOS 5 you can use photostream too. I use photostream on my macbook air to import photos I take with my iphone. I never have to sync the phone up like I used to.

I have just tried to export photos from my iphone to a CD/R and the disc is stuck in my machine, and a device called `rude *******' has appeared in the finder panel. This is not a joke can anyone assist?

I set up my iPhone on my old computer and had transferred photos onto the phone through iTunes. That computer has since crashed, and I was unable to untinstall itunes before it crashed. I would like to transfer the photos from my iPhone to my new computer to free up some space on my iPhone. Sine these are not pictures that i took with the iPhone, how do I transfer them to a computer? These are baby pictures of my kids, and I do not want to lose them but am out of space on my phone.
So I ended up uploading all of them to Google Drive. Took 8 hours, but I got it done. However, now I can't delete any of these pictures from the iPhone. Can anyone help me with that? Because the computer that I originally registered my phone with on itunes is not longer operational, I can't figure out how to do this.

What does this mean? In iPhoto folders are organizational elements adn can not hold photos - folders hold other folders and albums (in the source pane on the left)

I am not sure whats going on! These were photos of my best friends wedding dress, and now they are gone. I erased them off of the camera card I was using from my boyfriend (probably a dumb idea), and now I can't "re-upload" them. Now I feel like I lost them forever. Can someone help??

Did iPhoto launch? Check iPhoto and see if they in there.
Did you put it on the right side of the dock where the stacks are? Check in Documents.
A folder with a question mark usually means the dock item is no longer connected to an application.
