Just as an FYI: some people report issues where their albums are missing but their photos remain. Some mention photos going but the albums still present, just not populated.
There is no iPhoto 10.8.2. Perhaps you're referring to the version of the OS you have? Not especially relevant, the version of iPhoto is what's needed here.
I mention this should you seek help in the future.
For me: vague and incomplete would describe your attempt at seeking help. You're too lazy to give an accurate description of your issue, too lazy to tell us what you've tried to repair it - so we don't waste time your time (and ours) making suggestions you've already tried - and when asked don't respond except to abuse the person who tries to help you.

Are the photos you want to send back to your mac on your iPad, iPod, iPhone saved to the camera roll? If you have photos in other albums (not camera roll) share them to the camera roll.
Then connect your device via USB and lauch iPhoto. You will see your device as a camera in iPhoto. Import those photos like you would import from a camera.

When what is clicked?
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 9 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:

You're really going to need to explain that. What's "USB"? Do you mean a Disk, Drive or volume connected by USB? How is your iphoto set up? What version are you using?

     Hi Frank.
     I have just had jb Atlanta's problem while adjusting the contrast on a photo. I was creating a slideshow at the time. After a lot of reading up I was about to give up when I tried restoring the file to its original settings as you suggested. Bingo!
     However, that would only work for me, if I restored the settings while in the slideshow. All data had 'disappeared' when I attempted to open the photo in its original project folder.

If the iPhoto application is no longer on your hard drive (do a search to be sure it didn't just get moved to an unexpected place), there's no way to get it back without either backups or a copy of iPhoto. Your original disks that shipped with the machine would have iPhoto. If you have lost those disks and don't have backups, you'll simply have to buy a copy of iLife. Or call Apple with your machine's serial number in-hand and request replacement disks, which they will send you for a small fee.

I just upgraded to Photos and now I can't open my iPhoto Library in Photos OR iPhoto. How do I get my photos back?!?

I recently updated to the new Photos and when I went to import my library into Photos, it wouldn't let me. Kept throwing errors. I followed the suggested fixes using the terminal regarding permissions, but that didn't work. I decided to just go back to using iPhoto, but when I opened that it wouldn't see my library either. I tried copying it to an external hard drive and opening that, but it didn't work. I can browse for it and see it on my computer but it's grayed out and I'm unable to select it. Please help. I'm terrified I lost all those photos.

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

How can i get my photos back after i erased all content and settings

Okay so i had a Iphone 5c and broke it so they shipped me a new one, And as i was trying to set my new one up the paper said to go to settings and back up my phone and then erase all content and settings from my damaged device, So i did. And for some reason i cant find anything in my icloud account.

I had saved my photos on my WD My passport but I think it was only saved like a preview.
We need to know more, to be able to understand what you have done.
How did you save your images to the external drive? Did you copy your Aperture library there?
Is your Aperture library referenced or managed - did you store the original image files outside the Aperture library or are they included in your Aperture library? If you have referenced images, did you back them up too?
The error message you are seeing, shows that Aperture cannot find the original image file. That is indicated by the yellow warning badge with the arrow.
If your Aperture library is referenced, you need to restore your backed up original image files as well from their backup, and then use the the command "File > Locate Referenced Files" to reconnect the image versions with the missing original files. Do you have a backup of the originals? If you cannot restore your referenced originals, you can turn your previews into new originals; post back, if you need help with that.
If your Aperture library is managed, and all your originals are included inside your Aperture library, try if the Aperture Library First Aid Tools can fix this:

Check if the "Masters" folder inside your Aperture Library contains any image files: Crtl-click the Aperture library and use "Show Package Contents". Are the missing original image files inside?

How can I get my photos back from a previous IPhoto?

I have an Macbook OS X. I turned on my computer this morning and I went to Iphoto only to discover that all of my photos are gone. First, I was prompted to choose a new library as 'no iphoto library was found' and wound up with what looks like a brand new version of Iphoto only all of my photos and events were wiped clean. They seem to have just dissapeared. I have the Time Machine app-although when I went to open it I found that I had to turn it on and then after that I had to scan for an airport device to use the 'Time Capsule'. I don't have an external hard drive e.i. Time Capsule..never knew I needed that extra step to use Time Machine. Otherwise, the airport device is not found. It keeps asking me to rescan.
I just want my photos back. I even did the search in my HD drive and none of my pictures were there either. I tried opening Iphoto with the option+control button to restore and find orphaned files. It just reopens and restores the latest iPhoto-the one that has nothing in it.
Someone please help me. My photos have to be somewhere- I didn't manually choose to delete them so where can they be?

Sounds like you have inadvertenly deleted your Library, I'm afriad. And as you don't have a back up you're into expensive file recovery software.
File Salvage will scan your disk and tell you what may be recoverable before you have to pay. Actual recovery will require purchase.
