I purchased the app Cake Mania to the Max and after 67,000+ points, the games has locked up. I have tried to restart the game on my IPAD and it brings the game up but when you get to the play command, nothing happens.  Anyone else have this problem?  I contacted Digital Chocolate but have had no rsponse back from them.  I paid for this game and this is the way they take care of their purchasers.  Any ideas??

    Change your router channel.  Sometimes this is all you will have to do.
    Power cycling the router.  Read the router's user manual or contact their tech support for instructions.
    System Preferences/Internet & Network/Network
    Unlock the padlock
    Locations:  Automatic
    Highlight Airport
    Click the Assist Me button
    In the popup window click the Diagnostic button.
    System Preferences/Network- Unlock padlock.  Highlight Airport.  Network Name-select your name.  Click on the Advanced button.  Airport/Preferred Networks-delete all that is not your network.
    Place a check mark next to "Remember networks this computer has joined."  Click the OK button and lock the padlock.  Restart your computer.

    No internet connection (wireless)
    Check to see if an extra entry is present in the DNS Tab for your wireless connection (System Preferences/Network/Airport/Advanced/DNS).
    Delete all extra entries that you find.

    That's not good! We definitely want your device to work properly at all times. What email application are you attempting to open? When did the issue start? Do you receive an error message when the application force closes?

  • My computer asks me to reboot prior to installation. I removed an earlier version. I have restarted my computer several times, but it keeps asking me to reboot. I cannot install 3.6.

    My previous version of Firefox would not update successfully. so I removed it from my computer. I was asked to reboot. I did. when I went to download the new version 3.6, apart from internet explorer trying to block it, it keeps asking me to reboot. The final screen, which will install, cannot be accessed. If I say, no I don't want to reboot, I cannot get anyfurther. If I reboot, the same thing happens again. Any ideas!

    If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
    Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop
    * Firefox 5.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded
    Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder], so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data.

  • TS3714 I am trying to delete an event that somehow got put on my calendar for every day -- several TIMES a day - for 14 months.  When I hit the "Delete AllFuture Events" tab, my phone freezes.  iPhone 4S, iOS 7

    I read the article thanks.   I tried the settings-general-reset-reset network settings-reboot system-go to wifi settings-select wireless connection-select the ">"-symbol-select auto for http proxy.   I was optimistic about that because I thought I changed some setting somehow to cause this problem, but it didn't work.  More specifically, I did connect successfully and browsed the Internet for a good while, but then I put down the phone for a minute, the phone went into sleep/power save mode, and when I picked it back up a moment later it was no longer connected.  Dang.   Had to select the connection and use my password yet again. 
    Another valuable bit of info for you.   The only network with which I have this problem is my home.   I use all kinds of devices at home and no other devices have this problem.  Also, I use this iPhone all over with various wifi networks at hotels and starbucks and family's homes with no issues whatsoever.  It remembers and automatically reconnects with every wireless network except the one in my own house.

    Did you do a backup before you did the iOS update. You should always do this in case of problems. Otherwise your data/files my be lost.

    IM doing it to create energy in a game. I change the time and restart it. I havent noticed any damages only my battery is draining faster

    Cheater!   I'm just kidding, so please don't take offense. I know other people that do the same thing.
    Personally, I wouldn't restart the device more than absolutely necessary. The more that you play around with the mechanical buttons, in this case, the sleep/power switch, the more you increase the odds of doing damage to the switch. That's just my take, but I would have to think that if you keep doing this over a period of time - you could wear out or break the switch.
    One of the great things about iOS devices is that they are made to not have to power off and on every day or multiple times each day. I never power down and restart unless I have to do it for troubleshooting reasons.

My favorites from IE copied to Firefox fine, and Firefox is now my default browser...it just keeps opening in Safe Mode.

    I downloaded the toolbar. When I was done using the computer, I put it to "sleep." The next time I "woke" the computer and went to Firefox, the toolbar was gone. When I downloaded the toolbar again, I got a box in the upper left hand corner of the screen stating Firefox BLOCKED the toolbar, and did I want to allow it. There was NO option to allow always-it's just a one time deal. When I shut down for the day, I expected it to remain, but no-next time I fired up firefox, NO TOOLBAR. I pulled up Inbox dollars again, clicked on download toolbar, got the box stating it's blocking the toolbar, etc, etc, etc. Unless Firefox upgrades daily, or in some cases, several times in one day, I'm going to stick with my description that the toolbar magically disappears EVERY TIME I OPEN
    FIREFOX!!!
    I don't profess to be any type of computer whiz, I'm totally self-taught, and it's not beyond the realm of possibility that I'm doing something wrong. I've been using Firefox for about a week, so I'd welcome any help!

    Don't take your laptop back. Find out the number for Apple Care in your part of the world and call them. Tell your story to them. If the person on the phone can't help you, ask for their supervisor. Keep asking for supervisors until you get exactly what you want to get. Now sometimes a thing will be bad and in that case the word gets out and everyone knows that particular electronic has surpassed the normal failure percentage. The Airs, however, have not done that. Their reputation, so far, has been incredibly solid and good. So you can assume that you, unfortunately, got one out of that small percentage of electronics that have an issue.
    Laptops, let us remember, are doing a lot in a very small area. A lot can go wrong, and it's pretty amazing how many don't, especially given how many are made and sold. Sometimes we get the bad apple in the barrel, it doesn' t mean that the company making it has gone down hill. We hope the manager of the store, or the company, or someone will do right by us. If they don't, then we need to make sure they do. Keep asking for upper management till you get what you want.

    Thanks for the suggestion, Chris.  I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer. 
    it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used). 
    even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps.  however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
    If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.

    This is what worked:
    "In iTunes, I signed out of the store. I exited itunes and restarted it, logged back into the store (with my apple id), then I pulled down the iTunes menu in the menu bar and selected Check for updates.
    At this point it said that iTunes 11.1 was available and I'm downloading now " Quoted from a fellow user.
    It fixed my problem.
