Your iPhone is locked to the UK carrier. You need to contact the carrier in UK to have it unlock.
No one here and help you with that. Only the original carrier the iPhone is locked to can officially unlock your iPhone.

IPhone got repaired by apple but when it came from the repair, the same problem was still there?
So yesterday i found out that my iPhone's screen is making a creepy sound when i push the upper right corner of the screen (loud and cracky) so i immediately took it to apple, the genius told me she can definitely hear the sound, she opened the iPhone and took a look at the parts (in case theres something broken) she explained me that theres some glue or some sort of detached component so they have to replace the phone screen. I agreed and later i came to pick my phone up, the exact same thing was still happening so i talked to another genius since the one serving me was already gone, this new guy told me he can definitely hear the thing but won't be taking it any further, said he's phone is doing the same, now trust me, non of iPhone's is doing the same, i owned every iPhone from 3g to 5, 3 iPad's and 2 iPod touch's but non of them did this thing.
I came home and i talked to apple support, they apologised and sent me to another store to ask for a phone replacement, we did choose the store together and they helped me to make an appointment, however I'm still afraid since I'm not sure the store will exchange the phone and the noise just freaks me out whenever i touch the screen. What should i do when I'm in store or is there anyone with a similar case?
My appointment is booked for today at 1:20, Covent garden.You should be polite and say thank you when they give you a replacement phone. Check it before you leave, of course.

The phone is locked to Softbank in Japan. Softbank does not offer unlocking at this time. The phone is going to be useless in Malaysia unless he wants to sign up for service with Softbank and pay the International roaming fees.
Tell him to give it back or try to sell it and buy an iPhone from one of the 3 carriers in Malaysia that offer service there. All iPhones sold in Malaysia are unlocked. -

The modem firmware has nothing to do with the SIM card or WiFi. Was your 4S EVER jailbroken?, See this reguarding grayed out WiFi setting:

You will need to go to a European Union country and take it to an Apple Store to get it fixed.

My daughter has an iPod touch using my apple ID, I just purchased an iPhone with the same ID. Is there a way to keep my stuff seperate from her ipod but still share the iTunes account? I was looking through the photo section on my iPhone and found pics my daughter has taken from her iPod. I do not want my pics, emails, etc to show up on her iPod. Is there a way to stop this from happening or do I have to create a different Apple ID for her to use instead?

Use the new ID on her iPod but only for:
Settings>Messages>Send and Receive
Settings>FaceTime
Settings>GameCenter
and Settings>iCloud if you want her to have separate Contacts Calendar and some other things.
Continue to use the same/common Apple ID for Settings>iTunes and App stores so you can share purchases. -

Roxan123I'm assuming each device uses its own icloud account and you want them both to use the same account, but not lose data from the device you will do the switch on. If this is the case you need to copy the data from the "old" account to the other account ....
When connected to the account you want to GET data from, Go to Settings>iCloud and turn all data that is syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.
When prompted choose to keep the data on the iPhone.
After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID and turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to this new account.
Note that this only affects the "Apple data" like contacts, calendars, reminders, etc. Many third party apps also use iCloud to store data files there. These files may be lost in the process, unless the apps also keep the data locally on the device.
NOTE: Photos in the photo stream (if you use it) will not transfer to the new account. It is advised that you save the photos to a computer before performing the account switch. -

My phone started acting up and I noticed my text messages were not being sent. So I turned my iphone off. My iphone 4s turned off properly but when I went to put it back the apple icon came on and then an image I have never seen before of a UBS pointiing towards the word itunes in a circle. And the phone no longer goes beyond this message. I try to turn it off and on again and same message over and over. If I hit the any button on the phone nothing happens. Does anyone know what this means or seen this itunes messaging ? meltdown? Please help.

Thank you so much for your response. I had these photos backed up on iCloud but, had I not, its good to have an alternate solution as the one you suggested. Actually, I went to the Apple store today and yes, you are absolutely correct Restoring in iTunes will result in permanent loss of photos unless backed up somewhere such as iCloud or other solution. Well, what they did was restore the phone in itunes ( I did not have iTunes downloaded to my computer which is why it did not work when I went to do it myself, I needed to go to the iTunes site and go to the download iTunes button because my windows based HP laptop does not come with itunes already downloaded). This retoration process took a while and I was forced to upgrade to the latest 7.1 iOS software which I was not too happy about -sometimes you like the way things work now :-) Anyhow, they said this restoration request happens as a result of a software update (which I was NOT in progress of an update or doing an update) or sometimes when you remove the power cable too quickly from the iphone (which I do not recall doing this either but...). Since I had backed up on iCloud all of the photos were downloaded back on my iphone 4s. Best of all was that my phone was back up and runnning and there was NO CHARGE at the apple store for this service of restoring my phone. Well, I just wanted to share the results and I appreciate all the responses and support I received. Thank you kindly. -
