I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure  if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck

  • Why is my Bluetooth suddenly not available?

I had the magic mouse paired with my iMac. The mouse is no longer working and the Bluetooth status symbol is telling me Bluetooth is not available.
Anyone know how to reconnect and solve the problem?

  • My bluetooth is not available

    Hi!
I can't connect my MagicMouse because my bluetooth is "Not available". My MacBook freezed so I force-restarted it. When I started it up again it didn't react when I used the MagicMouse, but the light on the mouse was on. When I clicked on bluetooth in the menubar to connect the mouse again it said "Bluetooth: Not available". I can't even find bluetooth in system preferences.
I have heard that you can reset the "PRAM" but does that reset the bluetooth device (it's a built in bluetooth device). I opened the software "Bluetooth filetransfer" and it said something like "Connect a bluetooth device first". Is it a hardwere problem?
My question is, should i reset PRAM or is this a hardwere error? Or is it something else?

    Andrew,
What is SMC, and how do you restart it { Sorry for being that stupid}?
Thanks for the help Andrew, appreciat it.

  • I retorde my imac yesterday and bluetooth is not available anymore, any advice?

I restored my Imac yesterday and now can't use bluetooth anymore...it isn't not available and disappeared from menu prefrencessystem. Any advice?

You don't have an iMac PPC if it is running 10.9.1.  PPC refers to PowerPC, which was the CPU architecture for pre-2006 Macs.
To re-enable Bluetooth preference, it is in Hard drive -> System -> Library -> CoreServices -> Prefpanes -> Bluetooth.prefpane.   Double click it, and it should appear in your System Preferences.
The Bluetooth administrative utility is also found in Applications -> Utilities, and that may need to be run.

  • Why is my multi folio app now not available?

    Hello
We are a small company intending to publish 4 times a year through our multi folio app (Challenger Times).
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/challenger-times/id716732152?ls=1&mt=8&utm_source=Website& utm_medium=Organic&utm_campaign=CT+2013+Q4+Apple
As we need to publish on more than just apple devices, and we wanted to create a multi folio app we, on Adobe's advice, purchased Professional edition on a monthly basis.  It was advised to us that once our app was in store and we were not publishing new versions we could go back to using the creative cloud version and the app would stay live, upgrading to professional whenever we wanted to create and publish a new folio, and paying for additional download bundles where neccesary.
HOWEVER - now our professional edition has lapsed we have been informed that new folio downloads are not available to new users. Which means we are unable to do any further promotion of it.
For a small business paying for full access for the whole year is not financially viable, especially when this is a free app which we only expect download numbers of around 500 per folio.
Now that we have created, and promoted, the app that is in store we are essentially now bound to paying the professional fee every month, which is a total nightmare for us.
Is there any way that we can make the multi folio app and current folio available for new users with a different subscription?
    HELP!

    Hi Bob
Thanks for replying, and the clarification, I'm not the developer so get my terms mixed up.  I understand that our app is still available, but without the folio content to download within it it is essentially just an empty shell, and so totally useless to any new subscribers.
Essentially my issue is still the same, someone at Adobe advised us incorrectly when we were deciding on subscriber levels and now i'm either stuck with a $500 a month charge forever or have no publication to promote.  It just seems like a really bad deal for small publishers that we are now locked into a huge monthly charge just because we wanted to make our publication available on other devices.
Is there no way we could pay a reduced level subscription for just hosting the folio content?
If anyone can point me towards someone who can help at Adobe I'd really appreciate it, we put a lot of work into our latest folio, with plans to produce another in early 2014, and we're feeling pretty despondant about this latest development.  We're going to have to completely shelve this project if there is no workaround.
Any advice would be gratefully received.

  • Bluetooth suddenly not available?

I've never had a problem before, but all of a sudden when I go to the bluetooth icon on the menu bar, it says bluetooth:not available.
Help!! I need it to work!

Trash your com.apple.bluetooth.plist in ~/Library/Preferences/ file, then shut down and reset the PMU of your macbook. Had a similar problem before.

  • Bluetooth is not available

Did latest OSX update.  Nothing major, just a camera caompatability update but my Bluetooth quit working after the update.  For awhile it was just not available but after a couple of restarts it was there but would not recognize any of my devices.

Hi,  I had the same problem.  When I tried resetting the system management controller (SMC), bluetooth devices were recognized.   >> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964?viewlocale=en_US

  • T60 - Bluetooth PAN not available?

    Hi there,
I have a T60 (1951-CZ1), and the bluetooth has always worked fine for what I use it for (literally transferring files between my phone and the laptop). However I have recently got a new phone and a new program on it that requires a PAN to be setup with the laptop in order to be able to control the mouse from the phone, etc. The phone has the PAN profile in its bluetooth stack, but I don't think my Thinkpad has.  Its not in the list of services available, unless its called something different.
I've downloaded and installed what I believe to be the latest driver for the Thinkpad's bluetooth (http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70450), but this doesn't give me a PAN option either.  It has to be PAN as described on this webpage here (http://gbmsoftware.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=17:bluetooth-howto&catid=3:faq&I...).
Is there any way to get this PAN capability on my laptop - any software I can install, any updated drivers, etc?
    Thanks,
    David

Easy answer...  after a few hours of playing.  )
Background: I have a t61P with XP SP3. My bios setting was "bluetooth enabled", the thinkpad bluetooth light was on. The thinkpad switch for wireless was on, and the [FN][F5] setting showed bluetooth on.
the problem was that I had both the Microsoft stack and the Lenovo thinkpad stack.
    I had to:
    1) remove the bluetooth item in device manager
    2) Unload the Lenovo stack (through control panel) and then
    3) remove the MS stack (using the info here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889814 ).
    4) Reboot.
    5) Choose [cancel] when the reboot tries to load drivers for bluetooth.
    6) load the newest lenovo stack for your thinkpad via the downloads at lenovo support.
    Bam! That did it.
    I hope that helps others.

  • Bluetooth now not working on my iPad

Bluetooth was working on my iPad a couple of weeks ago, but now does not work.  It discovers devices (eg keyboard) but does not connect.  The same keyboard does connect on my wife's iPad.  I have not made any changes to settings.  Can anyone help?

    Hello lageze,
The following article provides a number of steps that may help get your Keyboard paired to the correct iPad.
