HT2703 Can i reinstall Bonjour without uninstalling/reinstalling itunes after accidental removal?

Can i reinstall Bonjour, after accidental removal, without uninstall/reinstalling itunes?

Uninstalling and then reinstalling your iTunes should also get your Bonjour reinstalled.
For the reinstall, use an installer downloaded from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
... or you could get it back via your Apple Software Update for Windows.
If you'd prefer not to uninstall iTunes, try the following procedure.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the Bonjour.msi (or Bonjour64.msi) to do a standalone Bonjour install.

You may not be able to get a refund, since the terms of sale for the iTunes Store state that all sales are final. You can contact the iTunes Store, explain the reason for your request, and ask, though:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact.html
It's possible they'll make an exception for you, particularly if the problem was on their end preventing the movie from downloading in a reasonable time.
    Good luck.

  • Can you download apps without going thru itunes store?

can you download apps without going thru itunes store?

iTunes on a computer and then a sync, or the App Store app on the device are the only ways of installing apps on iOS devices.

  • I cannot remove songs from iCloud - how can I do it without paying for iTune match subscription?

I cannot remove songs from iCloud - how can I do it without paying for iTune match subscription? Different answers in this forum make it iTune match enabled. But enabling iTune match cost me $24. Help please.

You are correct, you cannot delete songs from iTunes in the Cloud. This is where all of your purchases are permanently stored so if you want to re-download something you can. Sometimes purchases will no longer be available, if the merchant pulls them from the iTunes store, but for the most part, all of your past purchases will remain in iTunes in the Cloud.
This has absolutely nothing to do with iTunes Match.
What is the issue you are experiencing?

  • Can I run RCU without uninstalling SOA Server?

    Hi All,
I want to get one clarification.
I am getting some SOA infra database problem when I started the SOA server(it is telling some queues in SOA Infra database don't not exist and it(SOA INFRA DATABASE) is also having some database problems).
    My question is :
In order to resolve the issue,Can I run RCU(drop the old schema and create new schema) in order to have  fresh SOA INFRA AND SOA MDS etc databases without uninstalling SOA Server?
(or) DO I need to uninstall SOA Server and then I have to run RCU and then again reinstall SOA component?
    Plesew let me have clarification.

No you dont need to uninstall SOA.
If this is not critical or is not a production you can run the RCU directly and remember to drop schema first then create. Also if you already created the SOA domain so remember to give the same schema name as you gave previously.

  • My ipad is disabled and says connect to itunes. I dont know the passcode and I dont have access to a computer , can I restore it without connecting to itunes

My ipad is disabled, I dont know the passcode and I dont have a computer to connect to itunes... is there anyway of reactivating ipad without connecting to itunes?

Sorry but no. You will need to get access to a computer with iTunes somewhere to restore the iPad. You can get help with this at an Apple Store if you have them in your area. Note that if you haven't backed up your iPad to iCloud, you'll lose all your data. Apps and other purchases from the iTunes Store can probably be re-downloaded.
    Regards.

Hello! I was on my Mac and then I clicked on iTunes. Then I clicked on Account, and accidentally removed my device from my Mac, how can I get it back? Also when I plug my iPod into the computer, it downloads everything that is on my computer, how can I stop this. please help! please help!!!!!!thank you

Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.
    Also see:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
since you may have started the 90 day window.
For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing.

  • Reinstalled Windows Without uninstalling iTunes

I recently reinstalled Windows on one of my computers but forgot to deauthorize iTunes before doing so. I can't authorize the computer now because all of the licenses are in use, but I can't deauthorize the computer either.
Is there a way to fix my problem?
    Thanks.

If you've reached five authorizations for that account, there will be a button in your iTunes Store account information that will allow you to deauthorize all systems associated with that account. Log into your Store account and you should see it. You can then reauthorize the computers you're using now.
    Regards.

  • Reinstall Safari without OS reinstall

I have an iBook (10.3.9) that is running fine except for major issues with Safari 1.3.2. The problems exist in all user accounts. Lots of crashing especially with Google maps.
Resetting Safari does not fix it.
Is it possible to reinstall Safari?
    thanks

You can download it from here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/safariupdate132.html
    Before installing:
Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete the following files:
    form values
    download.plist
Then go to Home/Library/Preferences and delete
    com.apple.Safari.plist
Repairing permissions is an important part of regular maintenance, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two.

    and here:

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

  • HT1296 can I transfer music from ipod to itunes after reinstalling itunes on computer?

Recently had to factory restore my computer after detecting a nasty bug which wiped out everything I had on my computer. Is there a way to download my music from my Ipod touch to my computer? I haven't had any luck by plugging my Ipod to the computer via USB cord and am wondering if there is a way to do it at all without having to manually download the cd's myself? Thanks!
    Morgan

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion.
    Have you failed to backup?
    Not good.
You can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod:  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
In some countries you can redownload some itunes purchases:
Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store - Support - Apple

  • Reinstall Grapher.app after accidental removal

    Hello,
I, in a rage of cleaning up my Mac (Tiger), accidentally deleted Grapher, as well. While I was able to reinstall some other deleted applications just like the Terminal.app from the installation DVD, I unfortunately was not able to find any hint to Grapher.
So: Can any of you tell me how to reinstall Grapher - be it from DVD or any other medium? Using Spotlight, Finder's search and the UNIX command "find" I was not able to find any trace of Grapher on both of the installation media.
    Thank you in advance!
    Felix

  • How can I re-sync my iPhone and iPad after accidentally deleting my iTunes library (without losing all of the apps on my devices)?

Long story short: A sequence of bad decisions on my part caused me to delete my entire iTunes library (song files, apps, itl file, everything in the music folder).  Another bad decision left me without a Time Machine backup of this folder. I have a backup of my music and I can redownload audiobooks from Audible, so I'm not stressed out about my audio.
The problem is my iPhone and iPad. I've downloaded >400 apps and have over 100 on each device. How can I begin syncing them to this new, app-free library without having every app deleted (along with their organization, settings and related-documents). I use these devices heavily so this is a huge conundrum for me.
The next step would seem to be to restore my audio files to a new iTunes library, but how do I then sync my devices to that library without wiping out every app on my iDevices?  I'm a pretty technical user and am willing to hand edit the ITL files if necessary.  I think that i _may_ be able to find a version of the itl file that's about a year old from an ancient backup. But that still doesn't solve the whole problem.
    Thank you,
    Spencer

I managed to lose an earlier reply I'd started before you came back with your "solved" so I didn't bother to retype it.
    It went something like this:
You should be able to recover the media with the tips in  this post from forum regular Zevoneer but I'm not sure what the implications are for your application settings. You can probably transfer your purchases into an authorised library, backup the device, recover any other media using third party tools, then restore the device from the backup.
The older .itl file is useful however as iTunes should see this as the "home" library for your device which will allow you to preserve the application settings. (.itl file? Mac? I assume the library has migrated from PC to Mac at some point). Any files in the Previous iTunes Libraries folder or did you kill those as well? The most recent of these would be the best place to start.
And no, the .itl file is not editable by mortals...
Once you've restored the media from backups or recovered whatever else you useful can from the device, the scripts MusicFolder Files Not Added and Super Remove Dead Tracks should help get the library up to speed with the contents of the media folder.
