HT2729 i am not able to sync my ipod to itunes
whenever i connect my ipod to my pc..pc does not recognize it.ipod doesn't get charges as well.i updated all itunes softwares buut no avail. please help me out asap.neither the ipod shows that it s connected t pc.operating system-windows xp.service pack 3

Can you try another 30 pin USB dock connector cable if you have one lying around or know somebody you could borrow one from temporarily.
Another good test at this point would be to connect the iPod to another PC or Mac with that same cable to verify if it's a problem with the cable or your own Mac/PC.

A while back I had to restore my laptop to factory settings due to a virus. Until that time, I was able to sync my newer Ipod Touch 4th Generation. Now, even though when I connect my Ipod, it shows it there, I am unable to sync it with my Itunes on my laptop. Therefore, I cannot get all my music onto the Ipod. I tried to troubleshoot. It said to go under my Ipod and manually sync, but when I clicked the "sync" but, after a few minutes an error came up saying "Could not sync. Sync failed to start." Anyone know what I can do?

I've downloaded the newest version of softwear to my iTunes libary (iOS 10.5 i believe) iTunes store now dosn't function right and i'm not able to sync. my iPod 4G with my libary. i've tried to reinstall iTunes, but for no use. help please.
well i have to be honest, but i don't know if it the vista you use has any significance for this. but you can try.
okay follow:
1: click "start" on the status line on the buttom of your screen.
2: then click on "all Programs" and find "Accessories" and find the "command prompt"
3: Right click with your mouse "command prompt" and click on "run as administrator"
(as you has click'd on "run as administrator", "command prompt" should appear.)
4: when it appears you need to type this "netsh windsock reset"
5: wait for your computer to registrer the command you gave it, and restart your computer.
then erverything should be pretty much as good or better then new. -

I recently reinstalled iTunes, and now it won't recognize my iphone so I'm not able to sync the phone with iTunes. How do I fix this?
It has been shown there are problems with the latest update of iTunes and Windows computers. What you need to do is remove and reinstall iTunes, and make sure that you follow the steps in this support document exactly. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923. If you do not follow them exactly, you will just compound your problems. Once you do this, you should have no trouble having the phone recognized in iTunes.

I do not have a folder called "SyncServices" in my HDD!

There is no other way to get this sorted than to re-install windows. It may be some corrupt windows file that causes this error.
TIP- If you do not want to erase all the data on your PC reinstall windows on another empty drive thus making your computer run on dual OS's. -
I need help, my ipod touch is not being recognized by my itunes. I am not able to sync anything cause it is not found. What do i do?
If the unit has NEVER been jailbroke, first try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless... Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. You WILL lose all of your data (game scores, etc,) but, for the most part, you can redownload apps and music without being charged again. Also, if you have IOS-7, read this. -

i am having problem in syncing my iphone to itunes,at first the auto sync process starts as i connect my iphone5(ios 7) to my itunes(latest version).it says"the iphone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorised for the purchases items that are on the iphone (authorise this computer from store> authorise thi computer)."
when i authorise my computer is says " this computer is already authorised". when i again try to sync my phone it gives me the same error..I found the solution to this problem

the best and the esiest way is to solve this problem :
create a new account (as an administator recomended)
Bonjour servises must be enabled ( go to control panel > administartive tools> sevices> Bounjour services (change the category to large icons if you dont see administartive tools )
install itunes
sign in
authorize
SYNC
it must sync normally
but if the meesage pops up that points on a particular items that could not be synced ( to ur itunes because you are not authorized for this items ) REMOVE THEM
creating a new user account shows the items wich dont let you sync your iPhone
after you REMOVE those **** items that were not authorised , you can go to your old user account and SYNC it as old kind time
was having this problem 2 weeks , and nothing helped except this was. not deleting the SC Info folder, now copying apple folder to some other mobile divce folder
REMEMBER the problem is in your iPhone , it is about the items that are in your iPhone

Whenever i try to sync my ipod touch with itunes. I get the an error "The ipod could not be synced because the sync session failed to start".
The sync process could not be started.
I am facing these issues from the day when i upgraded my ipod touch to ios 5.0.1
itunes version on my PC: 10.5.1.42

Please let me know how can i overcome this problem.Take the old hard drive and try one of the data recovery programs like Data Rescue 3 and others.
Apple didn't in the past support re download of purchased material.
And there are so many ways to backup data, clone a drive, archive, from the free to the built-in to the more expensive.
I keep the OS on one drive, media files and data on another drive, and a good 1.5TB drive today costs $109. Paragon has backup, clone (makes a full boot drive, not an 'image' such as Acronis or Ghost) so you can use it almost like a daily or weekly mirror.
Depends on the software and data lost and cost of recovery programs and services, but it may be possible. Put the drive in a USB case perhaps and a new drive to recover the files to. -
I am not able to sync ipad 2 with itunes 11.4 as it not recognizes the device
When I connect the device ipad 2 with the mac air, itunes ver 11.4, I get the error message that the iphone is not connected anymore and it blocks the itunes there.

Running Windows 7, iTunes is not able to sync my iPod, gets stuck on backing up
I have un- and re-installed iTunes, but syncing my iPod (1st gen) is getting stuck during the backing up process. My husband's computer, also running Windows 7, freezes whenever he opens iTunes.

Problem: not able to sync photo's from iTunes 9.1.1 to my iPhone
In iTunes version 9.1.1 no tab appears with the name 'photo's'. How am I able to upload photo's from my computer to my iPhone? Is it a error in the software or something else? I already removed iTunes from the computer and reinstalled it. It doesn't make any difference.
Can somebody help me?I am concerned about that. However, iTunes did sync all photos to the ATV including some of the photos in question before it stopped. There are about 25 photos I imported to get the iPhoto library up to date. Tonight, I will delete the 25 photo's and see if that fixes the problem.
FYI- during the import of the 25 photo's, my wife closed iPhoto prior to ejecting and turning off the camera. I was hoping that was the reason but the 25 photo's all work properly in iPhoto???? -

I did the "reset warnings", and synced again, and got the same message on the iPhone and still no indication that anything was wrong from iTunes itself. So I closed and restarted iTunes. And now when I do a sync, I no longer get the "1 item could not be synced" message at all! So, at least the problem seems to have gone away (for now, at least)...
