HT2729 Problem synching videos to iPad

I recorded vidoe with my iPhone 4 and then I did a synch to my PC using iTunes. I then tried to synch my iPad 3 and the movies would not synch. I have checked the synch all movies box but still have not had any luck. Any suggestions?

I tried to do as you advised but the CreatiPad option is not linked. I also noticed that the videos are in my iTunes library and have a blue dot next to them but when I synch, only one has the blue dot and is transfered to my iPad. The others have a grey dot with an exclamation point.

Problem synching videos on iPad and iPhone

I just got a new laptop and copied my entire iTunes library from my desktop pc to the new laptop. Everything synchs without issue except for video files in my photo directories. This does not happen with my CBT videos that synch under Movies.
If I uncheck "Include Videos" from the Photo tab, the synch runs without any problems. Only when I try to include the videos does this happen. This is happening on both my iPhone 4 and iPad.
I didn't think to try and synch again on my desktop pc so I'll give that a shot when I get home but I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening. Both machines are Windows 7 x64 (desktop is Pro, laptop is Home Premium) and all I did was copy the entire iTunes Library from my user profile on the desktop to the same location in my user directory on the laptop. When I launched iTunes, everything was there just like it was on the desktop. I never had a problem synching the videos on the desktop.
The only difference between the machines is one is Win7Pro, the other is Win7Home Premium and the laptop has the absolute latest version of iTunes.
Any ideas?

I also sent an email to a Hotmail account that I gave and received a message that it is not a correct email address which it clearly is. All if this is happening only when connected to Apple's software relating to the IPad and I-phone. I do not see how the settings could be wrong in that I have been using my IPad without a problem for about 2 years and the IPhone for 4 months. Also, I do receive emails now without issues.
When I go to the web based Yahoo email I do not experience these problems or with my laptop.

Has anyone had problems synching contacts from iPad?

I have a new iPad, wi-fi only, that I use at my office to add contacts, birthdays, reminders, notes, and calendar items. I do not have wi-fi at my office so I come home to wi-fi so that my day's work will synch to my iPhone and iCloud. Everything synchs automatically except contacts, which will only synch if I edit each and every one. Apple support and engineering have worked on a solution but to no avail. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how die you handle it?

I have not experienced the same, but if you are syncing contacts over the air with your iCloud account on your iPad, confirm all contacts are available with your iCloud online address book - login via webmail access using a browser to confirm this.
After confirming all contacts are available online, try turning contacts off for over the air syncing with your iCloud account on your iPad. A warning message will be provided indicating this will remove all iCloud contacts on your iPad. If an option is provided to save the contacts locally on your iPad, decline that prompt.
Follow this by turning Contacts back on for over the air syncing.

Problem transferring video to Ipad

I am a newbie to Ipad. 2 weeks ago I managed to transfer some purchased videos onto to my Ipad. Last weekend I transferred some songs (all through iTunes) and as a result the videos disappeared from my device. what option must I choose so that this won`t happen every time I transfer new content to my Ipad? I tried transferring the videos once again and managed to transfer them all of them except one, which somehow cannot get transferred. I don`t understand why this is happening since i had already transferred it once before on the device and it opens and works fine in iTunes. There is enough storage space on the device so this isn`t the problem. What could be wrong? Any idea why this is happening?

Since the install of iOS7 on my iPad, the video will not engage.

Meant that when I tap the "video" word on the screen it won't go to video. But, just found the answer. You have to swipe up or down to change the camera mode. Thanks for your willingness to help!

Maybe it is the problem with the file format. Suppose your file format is not compatible with iTunes, you could try to convert it to .mp4 format which is fully supported by iTunes. You can find the converting tool at Mac App Store. As I know, there is Video Mate there. It supports conversion between various common video formats. So, I guess it could meet your need if you need it. But it is a mac app, if you need a windows app, you then need the Windows Video Converter. Hope this reply can help you. Problem synching calendars with iPad.

Bought an iPad. Upgraded Mac Pro OS to Lion. Had rather elaborate calendars in iCal. Things were synching okay until I decided to synch using iCloud. Now somehow I've lost most of the calendar entries on both devices. (sigh) Couldn't find any iCal arkive files or iCal backup files from the past using Time Machine. Am I toast?

Problem Synching Video To Ipod

Whenever I try and load an Mpeg-4 video to Itunes my computer freezes for a long time. When it unfreezes the file does not show in Itunes. Any ideas what would cause this and how to correct it?

Double check to make sure podcasts are configured to sync to your device from under the iPod's Podcast configuration tab.
To access the Podcasts tab for your iPod, plug your iPod in and click on it from under theDevices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Along the top you should see a Podcasts tab, so go ahead and click on it. Here you can configure how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.
If you do make any changes to do this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the update changes to your device.
Otherwise, are you getting any error messages when you sync your iPod Classic with iTunes?

Ipad 2 won't synch video with itunes

Greetings. I have an ipad 2, ipdated to OS6 recently. I manually synch video content from itunes on a Mac Mini on OSX, Itunes 10.
I noticed 2 problems today, most troubling is that my video content was gone. I connected the Ipad to itunes via USB and tried to synch video content two ways: first by making playlists, then choosing specific videos to transfer to the Ipad. In both cases, no video content was transferred. At first, when I changed the method of synch, the "capacity" bar at the bottom of the screen shows the video content. The status shows that synch is in going on, and then suddenly it stops and no videos are transferred at all.
I wanted to see if anyone has encountered this problem an found a solution before I restored to factory settings - it seems as if this a glitch with the new OS and maybe someone has a work around.

You apps are crashing. Try these simple troubleshooting steps.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit all apps and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
You can also try this for the issue with Safari.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Cache or Data . Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

yes I have big problems as soon as I open the video app i get a total black screen, even the upper bar with the time disappears. I already tried to:
1. closing the app and reopen it
2. restart the iPad
3. restore the iPad via iTunes
4. Begging the app to work again.

Problem synching ipad with itunes

I have an ipad 3 and have started having a problem synching in itunes. It refuses to merge contacts, calendar and notes but instead simple replaces the one on the ipad with the older version from itunes. This is also happening on my iphone 5. It has also deleted 2 of my calendars. I still have these calendars on another iphone 4 but I am afraid to try to to back them up as I don't want to lose them permanently.
I have double checked that it is marked correctly in info. It has synched correctly in the past.
My itunes is current as well as my IOS.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

It sounds like youre being prompted that there is not enough space. I would use the following article to help resolve the issue named:

Try disconnecting and reconnecting your device, then syncing again to solve this issue.
Orphaned files may remain on your iOS device if it is physically disconnected while syncing music, podcasts, videos, or photos. This can prevent iTunes from syncing the iOS device on subsequent sync sessions. When this happens, the Capacity indicator in iTunes may report a large amount of "Other" disk usage for the iOS device. To resolve this issue:
Turn off the music or photo sync option in iTunes for the device.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Turn the music and photo sync options for the device on again.
Click Apply again to try to sync the device to iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 5.
Turn off the automatic syncing functions for the iOS device. To do this:
Select the iOS device from the iTunes window and click the Summary tab.
Deselect "Automatically sync when this device is connected" and select the "Sync only checked songs and videos" checkbox.
Click Apply to sync the changes to the device.
Reduce the amount of data that is being synced to the device and resync the device. For example, if syncing your Music library exceeds the memory capacity of the device, choose "Selected playlists" to transfer rather than "All songs and playlists" under the Music tab in iTunes.
If the 'Not enough free space' alert appears, continue to step 6.
Restore using iTunes.

How can I play a video on iPad and still be able to record a voiceover

I know the question is a bit confusing... so here it is:
I am currently working on a brand activation where people watch a World Cup highlight, and then have the chance of recording their own commentary, then it gets posted to facebook and the more likes it gets blah blah blah.
On Chrome on android, we dont see to have a problem, the video plays within the microsite, and users can press the "record a commentary" button and they can record their voices while watching the video.
However, on iOS, as soon as you click the play button, the video plays "out" of the microsite, and it takes over the full screen. Which means there is no way that people can see our microsite while the video is playing, which means that they can not record their commentary.
I am not a developer, nor am I a programmer... so if someone can answer me in plain English why this is... and if there is a fix.
The only catch is that people all over the city will visit this microsite and have the chance to "record a commentary" so suggestions like buy this app or that app and install it on all the ipads that are going to use the microsite... well... thats impossible.
I am thinking out aloud here... but since it works on chrome on android... would it work on chrome for ipad? Currently it doesnt, but maybe my developers need to do something in the backend to make it work.
Any suggestions would be great!

Yes, but just so you know, when you play a song from iTunes Match it is still downloaded to your iPad in the background. If you download it from iTunes Match before playing it you can later swipe over the song title to delete it. If you play it without downloading, it is stored in cache memory and cannot be deleted manually later without restoring your iPad. Instead, these songs are automatically deleted as your iPad begins to run out of memory.
