HT2729 what format is used to sync music to an ipod
I have a mac book pro and am trying to sync play lists into my ipod. I made sure that the setting are on manual. For a reason that is unknown to me, I am not able to get any playlists into the ipod. Could it be the format??? If yes, what format should the music be in???
Any help with answers is truly appreciated...

Whatever format it is already in. iTunes does not convert the music simply for syncing to an iDevice.
If you are trying to sync a playlist, select the Music tab, select sync Music then tell iTunes what playlists to sync.

What Format Is Used for eprint Emails?
I'm interested in generating eprint jobs from a Linux machine, so I'm wondering what format is used, and how you cope with email gateways which can accomodate messages of limited size.
Can somebody assist please?

You can only sync with one computer. I would backup to one computer and then restore from backup.

Try deleting the iPod Photos Cache folder. There may be more than one. For its location see:
iTunes: Photo sync creates iPod Photo Cache folder
Also, go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and make sure syncing photos is unchecked. -

go to settings > general > usage > music app under the storage section > slide across the bar that says 'photo library' and a red delete button will appear
you can also plug the device into your computer with itunes, go to the photos tab at the top center and uncheck where it says 'sync photos.' then press 'apply' in the bottom right corner. this will erase the photos that were synced to your phone from the computer -
A while ago i went to sync music onto my Ipod Touch. If you are not in a country where music can currently be re-downloaded, then have you not got it on your computer and/or on a backup ? itunes will not sync music to my ipod touch or iphone 3g. Passes all diagonostic tests. copies apps but not music. Any Ideas?
just bought iphone 4 today from verizon and had the same problem. this is my 1st smartphone ever. apps all synced when i plugged it in to my computer except the music. this is what i did and it worked. plugged in phone to computer. then under the devices tab i clicked on the music tab. if you look to the bottom right of the itunes page there will be two tabs you can click on. one says settings and the other one says autofill. i clicked on the autofill and then it just started syncing. that was it. i'm not a tech guy by any means. just kinda of got lucky. i hope this helps you out. good luck!

I have a problem. When I start to sync music to my iPod touch, you have to enter the password of your account. I downloaded the game from the general account, and do not always know the password. He writes that if I do not login, then the game will be erased. Previously, this was not. When starting to sync music, it did not touch my programs, and now because of this music can not be transferred to iPods. PANIC AT ME! HELP
If they are Tunes purchased music you have to sing into the account that purchased them.
Is this the iTunes library/computer you sync with? You can rally only "sync" with one iTunes library/computer.However, yo can manually manage music and videos among different libraries/computer. See the manual method of:

Whenever I try to sync music to my ipod from itunes, it will go through all the steps up until it actually downloads the music, then it starts, and doesnt move. Why wont it download anything?

Not updating the iOS should not effect your problem.
As long as all the apps are in the iTunes library, you will not lose app data by updating the iOS. -
