After the IOS7 updates, when we are viewing music videos on my phones I can no longer turn the phone horizontal to see a bigger viewing of the video. I can only see it widescreen in vertical mode which is much smaller. Now when you turn it sideways, it pops up album cover art and I hate that. Is there a way to fix that?

We are just users like you and don't know why Apple does what it does. This is not a place to "vent," it is a place to ask technical questions. As of now there is no way to change or modify the way these folders appear in Windows Explorer. You can provide feedback to Apple about this issue at this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback

You might want to try contacting Apple for assistance by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click See All Products and Services>iTunes>iTunes Store>Passwords & Security Questions>Lost or Forgotten Apple ID password. They should be able to explain what's going on and help you reset the password for the old ID if necessary. The call should be free.

To change the iCloud ID ("email address") you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Something may have gone amiss on your iPhone.
To attempt to correct this follow these steps:
Backup your iPhone using iTunes or iCloud.
Use iTunes to completely restore your iPhone as Factory new.
Monitor battery usage to see if it is normal. If not, you may have a hardware problem - if so, contact Apple support.
Restore your iPhone from your backup above.
Check battery usage to confirm that it is still normal.

Connect the iPhone to your PC/Mac with iTunes open.
On iTunes do this:
- go to summary (left hand side)
- select the option photos to the right
Here you need to decide how you would like to set how your iPhone syncs photos from your PC/Mac. Its is up to you wether you only want to sync selected or all photos. Once you have made the changes select "Apply" to the bottom right.

Try reconnecting with App Store to see if there is yet another update available, if yes, update your mac to the latest Apple is offering at the moment.
As for slow downs and freezes, try these steps:
1. Run Disk Utility and Repair Permissions then verify / repair disk if needed.
2. Next Follow these steps:
Shut down your Mac.
Turn on the computer and immediately hold down Command (⌘), Option, P, and R keys simultaneously.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
3. If all else fails download and run "Onyx" for Mountain Lion.

When I updated my iphone and ipad with the new update IOS 8 my photos are no longer in an album or photo stream. They are in different files with all the dates that they were taken. I hate this feature. Is there any way I can get the photo stream and album back. Why do they make these changes when they just undo all the good things. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for anyone that can help me. It is impossible to reach apple when your device is an older model.

It sounds like you are seeing your photos grouped together by date, rather than the view you are used to seeing. From what you are describing, it seems like you are seeing either the Moments, or Collections view in the photos app. You can switch to the Camera Roll view in Albums located at the bottom of the Photos window:

My ipod nano has horizaontal lines through the bottom portion of the screen and the left half of the screen is black, the right half of the screen changes from red, to blue to orange, etc. Any idea how to fix that?

White stripes suddenlt appeared at the bottom of the screen on my ipod nano a few weeks ago. I figured it was just from use and that it is an older model- I could still see through them and use the device. Yesterday, only the left half of the screen was visible, the other side was black. This morning, the stripes are still there, all the way across the screen on the bottom, the left side os black and the right sise is red most of the time. Any ideas on what happened and how to fix it?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First you should try logging out of your iTunes Store account (settings > iTunes Store > accounts) and then back in again.
If that doesn't help, try resetting the Apple TV (Settings > General > Reset > Reset all settings). You should also try restarting your router.
If both of the above don't help, you should try a restore (Settings > General > Reset > Restore).

In the calendar day view the all day events are all squished up at the top any ideas how to fix that ?

More than likely, especially since hot chocolate is a sticky solution, it has gummed up the headphone port. There is something in there that senses that the headphones are plugged in. You can try to clean it out with maybe a small round toothpick, but it might not be fixable. You may have to make an appointment with the Genius at the Apple store and see about an out of warranty replacement. User damage, including liquid damage is not covered under the warranty.
