HT2731 How to remove an old employee of the iPhone

A new profile and worked when I was working updated software asks me old user name and password and I want to delete all terms of the old profile and replaced with new ..Thank you

Note that sometimes you see older Firefox versions listed in Add and Remove Programs that are no longer present. Only those orphaned entries in Add & Remove programs are left (were not removed/updated by the updater program) and uninstalling such a listed Firefox version will remove the current Firefox installation.

  • How to remove a song stuck on the iPhone?

I purchased a song in the iPhone iTunes store then synced my iPhone with my computer, only to discover that someone had already purchased the same song there..
Since then that song has been stuck on my iPhone, no matter what I do it appears in the 'Purchased' playlist on it, which means that when I put the track in my playlists I get repeats of it on the iPhone..
Sorry if that is unclear, the problem is kind of hard to explain, and I may just be being pedantic but this really annoys me! I've tried removing all my songs and uploading them again as well as uploading then removing all of the purchased songs from my computer onto the iPhone but whatever I do it won't let me remove this track and it's starting to bug me!
I thought that maybe resetting my whole iPhone would remove it but I don't want to do that as I would probably lose a lot of data.. So I suppose my second question is, does iTunes store all of your contacts so that if you whipe the iPhone clean you can sync it again and retreive all your contacts, photos etc?

I had a similar problem and I finally got rid of it. I had bought a single song from itunes and synced it to my iphone. A few months later I bought the whole cd which included that song from a record store and imported it to itunes. I deleted the previously purchased copy from my library but the next time I synced my phone I had two copies of that song again.
Try deleting the song from your itunes library. The next time you sync your iphone it will say something like "you have purchased content on your iphone that is not in your itunes library, would you like to transfer this content to your library? If you don't transfer it it will be removed from your iphone."
Select not to transfer the content (assuming you have no other new songs you need to transfer) and you should be rid of the extra copy.
I hope this makes sense and helps.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must use the previous owner's password to get permission to use the device. If you cannot get the password your father put on the iPad you will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

  • I have iWork 09 with a family license. I am unable to install the software on my new Macbook Pro (the message is simply "Installation failed"). I wonder if I need to remove an old computer from the family license, and if so, how?

I have iWork 09 with a family license. I am unable to install the software on my new Macbook Pro (the message is simply "Installation failed"). I wonder if I need to remove an old computer from the family license, and if so, how?

Yes, gladly. I am trying to install on a 13" MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.3. I insert the disk into the SuperDrive. The I work '09 window pops up with two icons: one Tim install and one that says "Read before you install iWork." I double-click on the "Install iWork '09" icon, and a window appears that says, "This package will run a program to determine if the software can be installed." I click "continue" and see "Welcome to the iWork '09 installer." I click on "Continue." The "read me" bullet on the left lights up, and I see "Read before you install. . . ." I click "Continue," then see the software license agreement. When I click on "Continue" again, I am asked to agree, and I do. The window then says, "Standard Install on 'Mackintosh HD" and indicates how much space the program will take.
I click "Install," enter my password, and the installation begins. It goes through a validating phase and begins "writing files." It indicates that installation will take about 30 minutes (although that number fluctuates). After about four minutes it goes to "cleaning up." Then after just a few seconds, the "Summary" bullet on the left lights up and this message appears: "There were errors with the installation. You may want to try installing again." There is a large yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it, and a bold "The installation failed." Below that appears "The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
At that point, a "Close" button is pulsating blue at the bottom of the window.
Sorry for the tedious detail. Anything revealing there?
    Thanks!

  • How to remove an old ident (@ wanadoo.fr) on ipad and iphone4,

    hello,
how to remove an old ident (@ wanadoo.fr) on ipad and iphone4,
the associated email to my old ident is no longer operational, if I try to delete this ident, I am asked the password associated,
New ident (@ gmail.com) is working properly,
thank you in advance for your help,
    jlm

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How do I remove an old version of the Apple Software Updater from a Windows XP machine without a software disk?

How do I remove an old version of the Apple Software Updater program from a Windows XP SP3 machine
without an Apple Software disk? I keep getting a message saying that I need such a disk to uninstall
the old program so I can install Itunes software so I can download apps for my new Iphone 5S.

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) downloaded from the Apple Website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Does it go through properly this time?

  • How do I remove an old username from the app store when using the update function

How do I remove an old username from the app store when using the update function.
I purchased my Mac used.  The former owners username prepopulates when I try to perform the updated function on the app store.  It does not allow me to use a different user name.    I have created my own username and password.  I have even been able to purchase items from the app store, it's just when I use the update function it does populate with my username.  Any help is appreciated.

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
    1. You don't own another Mac.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
    2. You do own another Mac.
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to  authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.

How to remove my credit card from the App Store

I used a pre-loaded credit card so when it ran out i had problems, primarily because it wont let me download or update anything until the "billing problem with the last transaction" was resolved. I dont really care if the purchase goes through but i want to be able to update stuff again and it wont give me the option to select 'none' under payment type. do i have to put another card on there just so i can "resolve the billing problem" and then i have  to take it off again or is there a way around this or is it a never ending cycle?

  • I would like to know how to extract my old contacts from the iTunes backup? Please explain in basic english i am a beginner

I have had my old Iphone 5s replaced with a new one but I would like to know how to extract my old contacts from the iTunes backup? Please explain in basic english i am a beginner

    Hey,
I think you will find that you have to have a debit/credit card stored on yur account regardless of whether your have iTunes Credit or want to purchase a free App. I don't know why, I assume its for ID verification or is part of the terms and conditions. I occasionally have to re-verify my credit card info even when just trying to run Update on one of my Apps or like I said downloading a free App.
If you need further clarification all you can do is contact iTunes Support:

    Hope this helps. Andrew

You don't. Backup your itunes library on the old computer and move it to the new computer.

  • How do you erase old podcast in the mode list ?

How do you erase old podcast in the mode list ?

    Thanks.
Well I used the "List" view on the right and I was able to delete podcasts from there.
I guess I'll have to get used to another view...
I also lost all my old poscats archived though.  Not sure if it is because of wonderful 11.1 iTunes or because I bought a new computer. They're all lost. But that's a different problem.
Since you seem so ressourceful, maybe you can help on another problem that I don't seem to be the only one having ?  Have a look at the discussion titled "
In iTunes 11.1 when a podcast finishes it starts playing the next oldest one automatically.
