I have setup an Apple ID for daughter using her hotmail email address and would like to download apps, put now have to verify account asking for credit card but only want to use iTunes cards. how do I fix this without making a new Apple ID account as I will have to using another email address that I do not have. Thia appears to be a flaw in apples setup.
There are instructions on this page for how to create a new account without giving credit card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 - if you don't use those instructions then card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
You can try changing the email address on the account that you've already created to be something else (you can create email accounts via http://gmail.com or http://hotmail.com) via this page http://appleid.apple.com, and you can then try following the above instructions to create a new account wihth her existing email address -

If you don't use those instructions you will have to enter credit card details before you can use the account to download any item from the store - you should get the 'none' option after entering the card and be able to remove it. -

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

Yes you can redeem the card if it is a U.S. gift card, you have a U.S. based iTunes account and if you are using the U.S. stores on the iPad.
On the iPad - Swipe to the bottom of the screen in the App Store or in iTunes and tap on Redeem. If you are using iTunes on your computer, you should see Redeem under Quick Links (i think that is where you will see it) after you sign into the store. -

1. Go to App Store and select a free app
2. Tap INSTALL APP
3. Create New Apple ID
4. Confirm Your Country
5. Agree with Terms and Conditions
6. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (must be a valid email address)
7. Create and answer your secret question e.g. What is the name of my dog?
8. Select NONE for Billing Information (see picture below)
9. Fill in Billing Address i.e. your address
10. Submit application for new Apple ID
11. Wait for verification email
12. When email arrive, verify your account
13. Start downloading your free apps
