I am not able to update apps...what am I doing wrong

What happens when you try to update your apps ? All apps (and other content from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, so if you've created a new account then you won't be able to use that new account to download updates to apps that were downloaded by a different account.

    Are you trying to connect via wifi?
    Look at iOS Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections  http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
    Also try this - Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • I have the latest Firefox, but I cannot open any sites from the browser. It just hangs. It used to be my favorite browser. Now I can't use it at all.

    I am the original poster, and I got rid of CA Security Suite & and loaded the Avast! which has some great features even on the freeware. No more crashes or freezing & yes I think there is a problem with CA & Firefox, but am not sure what it is. CA was a big time hog. I also got rid of my ISP and installed a Intellinet Wireless G PCI Card & now am completely wireless on my PC. Faster by far than what I was paying $50/month for & I use my Windows Firewall.

    I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.

    This has not happened to me, but a month or so ago there were a couple of threads on the same topic.  Seems Apple did a change in their security, and runs a check comparing the addres they have on file for you against the mailing address associated with you credit card, and if it is not an exact match, they freeze the account.  From the discussion, they are very specific.  "st." vs "street" and that sort of thing.  Get your last bank statement and compare the adress carefully against what address you have on file, and see if that clears the account.

    Go to the Mac App Store main page, choose Support under Quick Links, contact Apple, and see what they say. If you don't get any help from them, delete those applications and then download them from a different Apple ID; this may require repurchasing paid applications.

    I tried to change the e-mail associated with my apple account because my school was closing and I knew I would no longer have accss to that e-mail account, however now all 3 of my devices ( 2 ipads & 1 iphone are screwed up as far as the e-mail accounts associated with each device and the passwords. I have tried all the on-line support/suggestions and took my devices to a local Apple store and no one/nothing helps.
    Does anyone have a solution? I can purchase new apps but I cannot update any of the apps I have to any of my devices.

    You may be able to select None as a payment method, rather than having a credit card on their accounts with this article:

    I found a post with the answer.  Basically I just logged out of the iCloud.  My concern was that I would loose my contacts.   But when i logged back in with the correct AppleID -- it was all there.

    you can try to sign out and sign back in to Creative Cloud Desktop App.
    Here are the steps:
    Step 1: Launch Creative Cloud desktop application.
    Step 2:Click gear icon on the top right corner.
    Step 3.Click on preferences.
    Step 4.Click on Accounts> Sign out.
    You would get the sign in option on the app, sign in with your Adobe ID.
