If you have not received the verification email for your Apple ID, I recommend visiting the My Apple ID page to make sure your email was entered correctly, and re-send the verification email.
You can also resend the email verification if the email address is not verified:
Sign in to My Apple ID to manage your account information.
Click Resend under Primary Email Address.
Verify your changes by following the link in the email you receive from Apple, then signing back in to your account.

Try getting a credit card from the same people who issued the debit card. If I read the home sharing paper properly after your set it up with the credit card you can change the payment method back to debit.

You can keep trying to restore the device from backup until you remember the password. If you're having trouble, try:
Leaving the password field blank
Your Apple ID password
Your computer account password, if you have one
Email passwords you may have used
Your Wi-Fi network password
Website passwords you may have used
A password for hard-disk encryption software, if you use it

What did you rent it on, a computer's iTunes or an iOS device ? If a computer's iTunes then it should have downloaded into the Movies part of your iTunes library (if you select that then is there a 'rentals' tab on it with that film in it ?) ; if you rented it on an iOS device then it should be in its Videos app.

Account was paid in full for 90 days but several weeks later it was deleted.

I paid $30 on May 16 so I would get the 90-day plan. I received two emails within a few hours saying that it had gone through and my $30 was accepted. It also said my account was paid up through August 16th. Several weeks later I got an email saying my account was not paid up and my initial $25 payment would expire in a few days. About a week ago I got another email saying my account had been deleted since I had never paid. So, I have paid and I have emails stating such, and my credit card account shows the $30 was accepted by AT&T. My account should be paid in full from May 16 through August 16. I have needed to use the device for internet but cannot as my account has been deleted. Help!

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

How many attempts do you get before you have an issue in settings under restrictions while trying to turn off in-app purchases? It's asking me for a passcode but I don't recall ever having a passcode.

You need to set a password up before you can go ahead. It is separate from the one you have on the opening page of you iPad.

How to wait for a digital input to go high?

I bet the following question is explained somewhere but I don't know how to find it.
Is there an optimal way to wait for a digital input to transition from 0 to 1? I mean, other than creating a loop that continously polls the input line is there a better way to wait for the transition? With all the "event driven" capability of CVI I suspect there's a slick way to do this but I don't know how to find it. I'm willing to RTFM if I know where to look.

I have never done this, but it looks like it is possible to use the DAQmxRegisterSignalEvent function to assign a function that will be called when a "change detection event" occurs.
It works on a task basis, so if I'm not mistaken, you need to put the digital to be tracked into a separate task.
It is not stated if all NI hardware is compatible with this functionality, so try and see if it works for you.
