HT2731 restricting others from using my apple id

How can I delete an old apple ID that others in my family use to purchase apps, etc.  New austerity program, everyone pays for their own stuff!  Cannot see where to permanently delete Apple ID.

Get each person set up with their own Apple ID for future purchases and for use with Facetime, iMessages, etc. and change the settings on each person's device as appropriate. But again, you will need to keep your existing Apple ID for updating apps and redownloading any content you've already purchased.
If you have contacts etc. in iCloud, you will need to move them out of there to a local address book, then if you wish to continue to use iCloud,  move them back to iCloud under your new Apple ID.
Regards.

There probably is, but it requires that you be able to use punctuation and write in sentences so that we can understand exactly what you want.
You can block others from using your Apple ID by changing your password.  There is no way to erase what was already downloaded on to someone else's device, for obvious reasons,

  • *Can ARD restrict students from using particular programs?

I am a new high school digital arts teacher running ARD 3 in my classroom and have trouble with students being distracted with the internet. Is there any way to restrict students from using Explorer and Safari temporarily (and still keep the network connection) so they can focus on their work and not on their social lives?
Is it possible? If not, any suggestions about what I should do or use?
    Thanks! ___________________UPDATE:

Thankfully, I received the following sugesstion from a helpful user.
Can someone explain this in layman's terms?
I've never used UNIX but am willing to try.
"If you don't mind messing with the firewall settings of your clients, you could try something like this: send (as root) the unix command
ipfw add 2005 deny tcp from any to any 80 out xmit en0
This should stop any request being sent via port 80, the most common port for web servers. You might want to check that there is no rule already at 2005 by issuing a 'ipfw all' to get the list of rules in force. If there is, use a different number.
To reset the firewall, either reboot the clients (which loads the default firewall rules, without your changes) or send (as root)
    ipfw delete 2005
(or whatever number you used. You could save these two commands as Saved Tasks to have them ready whenever you need them."
Clarity would be much appreciated. Thanks All!

    Hello Elle,
I hear you. I'm a Graphic Communications teacher that had the very same problem. I solved it by getting rid of Explorer and turning on the parental controls in Safari within the 10.4 student permissions. Then I entered web sites into Safari that pertain to the subject of my class work. After about a week of student complaining the students accepted the fact their is no personal web surfing and now focus their attention on their work. And once again students that come into my classroom before and after school work on their projects instead of myspace.com, etc. Keep in mind the students still have access to the internet, but only to the web sites you setup.
Another way of doing it if you want to give student free time to surf the web is to setup two sets of permissions, if you are familar with this. One set gives students access to the browsers and the other does not. The permission file for controlling student access is located in /Library/Managed Preferences/in my case a folder named student/com.apple.applicationaccess.plist. Create two folders on your computer and put a copy of each preference file into them. Using Remote Desktop, logout from each of the student computers and then using the Copy Items command and Place items in: copy the permission file of your choice to: /Library/Managed Preferences/in my case a folder named student. When the students login they will be controlled by the permission file you just sent.
I'm also very good at altering system files that prevent students from tampering with the way I setup their computers. Let me know if I can assist you with other problems, or the above problem if you should have further questions.

  • How can i see the "manage devices" in my itunes account? because i want to remove a device from using my apple id. tnx so much

how can i see the "manage devices" in my itunes account? because i want to remove a device from using my apple id. tnx so much

Thanks pvonk, I will try downloanding the book from the Iphone right now.......
Just tried to download and it wants me to buy it again?  Is there some way around this?  I guess I thought that was the whole point of the cloud, buy it once and access from any of your devices right?
Also, I have logged into the icloud.com as suggested and will plink around there for a bit and try to understand.  It is just all so dang different that what I am used to; Apple's way, that is.
Thanks again for the Icloud tip and if you know of a way to download without making a 2nd purchase I would sure love to hear it!
Geez. one other thing (I guess I am complaining) but I bought more space in the cloud, they took my cash fast enough but have not yet increase the size of my storage space yet?  Is Apple sometimes slow to get internal stuff done?

  • Restrict users from using Manual series

    Hi SAP,
Is there a way to restrict users from using the Manual series?
    Thanks,
    Janice

    Hi Rahul,
Ok, i have seen already the authorization for document manual numbering and it is available only for 8.8 versions and not on 2007 version of SAP.
Anyway, when im doing the testing i found out that for banking transactions like incoming, user can still use the manual series even if he has no authorization for manual document numbering.
Another concern from our client was  the use of manual series only, is it also possible in SAP? I tried to give user authorization in the manual document numbering and no authorization to series group no but user cannot already open the transaction window. Let us know if their inquiry is possible so i could inform them that only manual series can be restricted.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Janice

  • If I hide my Apple ID app purchase history using my iPhone, can it be seen from other devices using my Apple ID?

Let's say I hide an app from the Purchased section of the App Store using my iPhone, will it be hidden on other iPhones which use my Apple ID?
    Thanks

when you change your Apple iD it's pretty much changing the visual email, i guess that doesn't really answer your question, yes you keep your purchases, it just changes the log-in email and email where newsletters , etc. go to.

  • HELP QUICK!  My iPad is restricting me from using YouTube, when I used my friend's theirs worked perfectly (using my wifi) and when I try again to use mine at home it doesn't work. help me please!

    Dear reader,
Could you please help me quick, my iPad is restricting me from something.
I tried to go on YouTube many times on my favorite videos list and I get a message saying: you don't have permission to access the requested resource. I go to settings to see if anybody restricted me from YouTube and nobody did. I went to my friend's house and they have wifi. My iPad worked perfectly in YouTube. I went back to use my dad's iPad and after I watched some videos for a while, his stopped working on YouTube too. After then, I went back to my mom's house and the same thing happened. TO BOTH MY IPAD AND MY DAD'S! Is there something wrong with them? Please reply soon! :)

I have the same issue. When I select a video from my favorites list (this is in the YouTube app—not through the Safari browser), I get the error message "You do not have permission to access the requested resource." My sister has said she has gotten the same message on her iPhone 3GS.
The work around is to kill the YouTube process (double press the home key to bring up the recent apps list, press and hold on the YouTube icon until the red minus sign appears, then tap on the minus sign). When you restart YouTube, it works.
However, invariably, the next day, when I try again, I get the same message, and have to kill YouTube again.

  • Allergy from using any apple product with alumminim casing

I have develpoed allergy on two of my fingers where I touch my MacBook pro. It is started after I bought my first macbook pro.  I persisted thinking it is due to something else.  However, I stayed a way from the mac and my allergy disaapeared.  I then covered it with adhessive plastic and then with palstic case but still give continuous outbreak.  I used ipad and did the same to it but again I has terrrible allergies with fingers that are in the vicinity of my covered ipad  and MAcbook pro.  Then I shifted to Vaio and my finger got better.  I thought Ok let me get iphone 4 and put a leather cover on it.  Again my allergy came back.  It is interesting that iphone 3 did not give me problems.  I think there something in the brushed aluminum that coats macbook pro, ipad and iphone 4.  Please I need some help.  I think apple should produce products with other matrials so we can all enjoy the product.  I think for now I am going to toss all of the apple products.  They are Macbook pro, iMAc 27 inch, ipad and ipad2, and iphone 4.  It seems that apple is insensitive to clients requests.  I found that many people have the same problems.

Actually, the issue is not moot as more and more people are becoming affected. I am a long time Apple customer, starting with my first Macintosh in 1986. Believe me, the last thing on my mind is to complain about Apple products.
That said, I was diagnosed a few months ago with Dyshidrosis (also known as dyshidrotic eczema, pompholyx, podopompholyx, cheiropompholyx, acute vesiculobullous hand eczema, or just simply hand eczema). This condition causes small, itchy blisters on the hands (and sometimes also the feet). The skin becomes very thick and cracks. As soon as any of the blisters begin to clear up, several more reappear overnight. I experience a constant bombardment of blisters on the palms of my hands. Nothing over the counter or prescribed by a dermatologist has cleared up the problem.
One of the common triggers of dyshidrosis is an allergic reaction to nickel.
While I cannot be certain that I developed this condition after using my Mac laptops for so many years, the pattern of the breakouts on my hands match with my normal habit of where I rest my hands. My right hand is less affected than my left hand. I have noticed that my right hand is lifted up more often as I move around the keyboard and trackpad. During that time, my left hand palm is resting flat on the Mac's aluminum body.
To be honest, I cannot imagine not using my Mac so I'm going to do my best to cover all parts of it using one of the recommended products out there, such as possibly the InvisibleShield or BodyGuardz full body covers. I understand I must also cover my iPhone and iPad with full body protection.
I very much hope as the news of more and more people developing nickel allergies from the many electronic devices we use each day, Apple will offer products with bodies that do not contain nickel. It seemed like such a good idea at the time, but the long-term consequences are proving to do more harm than good.
The only way people can become educated about the nickel allergy is for those of use who are affected to speak up. Dismissing our comments simply because you are not affected does not make it a non-issue. There once was a time when I was not affected, as well. Now I am. Who's next?
It's also important that others know of the connection between electronics with nickel and the development of allergies to nickel. It is likely that people are dealing with this condition without knowing of the connection. The first step to finding a solution is to find the cause.
If you are not familiar with this problem, google dyshidrosis (or any of the alternative names) with Apple, Macintosh, computers, and so on. You'll find a lot of others now suffering from the condition and the link with Apple (and any other brand using nickel) products. I wish I had known before it happened to me. I would have taken more precautions. Now all I can do is figure out the best way to deal with it.

  • Has anyone experienced, if so found a solution to having electrical shock, tingling, pain and burning in fingers hand and wrist from using the apple mac computers??

Has anyone experienced electrical schock, tingling, burning and pain in the fingers, hand and wrist while using the apple mac desktop and the apple pro notebook??  If, so have you found a solution??  Never experienced this with any other computers and I have talked with my Doctor as well as a specialist and have had an EMG test for capatunel and nerve damage both test were negative

I have experienced some mild tingling if I touch the aluminum case on my iMac at the same time that I touch the metal cases on my external hard drives.  They are all connected to the same surge suppressor and are on the same circuit, which is definitely properly grounded.  I can't explain it, and I just make sure not to touch them at the same time.
I have never had any sensation touching just one of the devices alone.  Is that what you are experiencing?

You can use another email to send and receive messages and FaceTime.  When you change email, your contacts will get a message so you can keep in touch.
    In settings
    Messages/FaceTime
    Send and receive
Uncheck Apple ID and check your email

  • Not able to restrict users from using SU01

    Hi ALL,
We are working on roles related to SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR.
The role has been given a transaction SU01D and not SU01.
But the users are able to enter into SU01 through SUIM.
I will illustrate this situation more:
SUIM->USERS->BY LOGON DATE AND PASSWORD CHANGE
Then I entered the user id.Executed.
From the result, I was able to enter into su01 .i.e was able to use the change button of su01.
Please tell me how do I restrict this situation.?
    Reagrds,
    Ajit.

Access to user administration is not only limited to SU01.
Most likely, the threads of this search term will explain why the users can access the transaction screens of user administration: https://forums.sdn.sap.com/search.jspa?objID=f208&dateRange=all&numResults=15&rankBy=10001&threadID=&q=SU01_NAV
Whether the user can complete the transaction is a different story... for that you need to use the application authorization objects (S_USER* objects are a good start - see transaction SU21 for more infos on the application security concept for these objects)
    Cheers,
    Julius
PS: A troublesom object is S_USER_GRP, because it is important. When the user ID does not have a user group assigned, then the effectivness of this authorization object is weak, which can impact your security (depending on the access of the user without an authorization group)...

  • IMessages sends unwanted copies to other devices using same Apple ID

I have a problem which has caused me deep trouble. My wife and I both have iPhones and iPads, which - until now - have used the same Apple ID. Setting it up was no problem and it seemed to work ok. However, I soon (but not soon enough) became aware that my wife was receiving copies of (not all but some of) my iMessages; both incoming and outgoing. And of course she did not tell me, which got me into trouble
I really need to solve this problem, but how to brake free? I have now reset my iPhone and am using a different Apple ID, but the phone number is the same.
I guess my wife's iPhone (and iPad) still have my phone number listed as one used for iMessages. My first question is whether there is still a risk that she will receive copies of my iMessages, even though we are now on separate Apple IDs? Or, in other words, whether the iMessages can be connected across different Apple IDs?
My second question is whether it is possible for me to remove my phone number from those associated with the old Apple ID, without accessing my wife's iPhone and iPad?
    Rolf

    Wrong number in iMessage
    simple fix
go to settings- messages - send and receive- select the numbers and emails you want to use - deselect the ones you don't need
    Peace, Clyde
