You cannot purchase a gift with a credit balance from an iTunes card. You'll need a valid credit card in your iTunes Store account to buy a gift.

Not without erasing what is currently on the iPod first, since an iPod can only be synced with one computer/iTunes library at a time.
A better way to go about it, is to copy everything currently on the iPod to your new iTunes library first. Then connect it to iTunes and either choose the Erase and Sync option or restore the device to allow it to start syncing with the new library.

How to get into my Itunes Account when I do not get a forwarding email
I have a ITunes account for many years, but suddenly it does not let me log on. I did it both ways to get in: The email version, which does not send me any email. I tried it about 50 times over the last 2 month, never made it into my inbox. Also, I tried to recover my password with my birthday, which was also not working.
Yes, I opened a new account for right now, but I have lots of purchases that where made through this account and would love to get them back.
Please anyone help me...I don't know I am getting older, but this os very poor customer service chating instead of talking with a real human being.

I'm not sure what you mean since there is no such thing as an iTunes account. There's
1) AppleID account you use to log into the iTunes Store
2) A collection of media tracks which is what you see when you open the iTunes application on a computer and is called a library.
Yes, you can have multiple of either. It doesn't make sense for most people to have more than one AppleID, and definite disadvantages. You can have multiple libraries. Hold down the option key while starting iTunes to create a new one or swap between them. -
My husband and I have two different tastes in music....do we have to have two different itunes accounts, or can we somehow share the account (itunes cards, credit card....payment options) but have two different setups??? How does this affect things if you use icloud??

The music must be on your computer.

You will only be able to use one account at a time with the Apple TV. This will mean that you can only rent or purchase content from one account, you would need to log out and into the other account in order to rent or purchase from that.
You should however, be able to use content from both accounts in iTunes on your computer, provided that the content from the account that you are not logged into is authorised to be played on that computer. Consequently you should be able to AirPlay content from both accounts to the Apple TV from iTunes or play content from both accounts via the computer section on the Apple TV. -
I got a new iPod Nano for my 80-year-old father who lives with me. I already uploaded his cds to my iTunes account, but when I connected the new iPod to my Mac to put his music on it, the program automatically named his iPod with MY name. I want to differentiate it from my iPod Nano, but it never gave me a chance to give his iPod his name instead of mine. He will not have an iTunes account; I will handle uploading his music and managing his iPod for him, but I need it to set up under his name, not mine. My iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc. all sync automatically with my entire iTunes library. I only want to selectively upload music to his iPod. How can I rename what iTunes is calling his iPod? Sorry, but it's quite possible that you can't. If there's an Apple Store in the country to which you want to give the gift, you can call them ask ask if they'll accept a Canadian credit card for a gift card purchase to be shipped to an address in the relative's country. If they won't, then you'd have to find an independent reseller in that country that carries iTunes gift cards who could accept your credit card, and there may be none.

What the ****? I don't remember my **** security answers and I just put $35 on my iTunes account and I am not able to buy anything! I'm so mad! I anwered those questions stupidly and I did not pay attention. And that extra email? I don't have a clue. I am seething and desperate. & I refuse to create a new account with all that mula on the line.
If you don't have a rescue email address, or you don't know what it is (you won't be able to add/view it until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Why can you not login into the account ? You should be able to if you remember the account's password, if you can't then you can get it reset e.g. by answering your account's security questions : http://iforgot.apple.com
If you can't reset it via your security questions then contact Support in your country, they should be able to reset your password (and security questions) for you (after they've verified your id and that it's your account).

First of all have your friend restore the iPad as a new device and wipe it clean for you. Or on the iPad go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings and this will erase everything from the iPad.
