HT2736 purchase on credit card instead of redeem

Having an iTunes credit on the account, how can a purchase be made using the account credit card instead?

The only way is by seeing if you can gift the item to yourself (I haven't tried it but I think that it should work), as described on the HT2736 page that you posted from - for 'normal' purchases your balance will automatically be used and you can't change that.

  • Charging Credit Card instead of redeeming GC's

I have $60 in GC's on file, but whenever I buy something iTunes charges my credit card instead of using the on-file GC money. I've had GC's before and never had this problem.

Well it's strange to me that they would put "music, movies, and of course games" on the $50 card since it's such a well known fact... and Lack of reading is not one of my problems, I read the card I bought front to back up and down and left to right, and it no where was it stated that you couldn't use it for downloading apps. I called 1-800-my-apple and eventually talked to a supervisor who gave me this BOGUS answer. "You CAN use it to download games, but not for game applications" WHAAAT? I asked her "your trying to tell me there are games, and then there are game applications?" She said "yes" I said "okay??? What's the difference?" She says "I don't know" I said "then how are we supposed to know when we download them? beacuse it doesn't say anything about wether it's a game or a game application" She says "I don't know sir".... Please... PLEASE tell me that makes sense to you... PLEASE... I'de LOVE to hear it. If iTunes is going to rip Canadians of and screw them out of there money then stop selling the cards here! And it's not a lack of people reading the fine print.... it's that there is NO FINE PRINT TO READ!

  • Credit card instead of redeem card

I downloaded Final Cut Pro X and wanted to use a redeem code, but it used my credit instead. How do I fix this? Thanks for anyone's help!

I just want to use that download code now instead of my personal credit card.
As I mentioned previosuly, once the transaction has been debited from your credit card account, it cannot be transferred to another account.
You can ask Apple to make a swtich using the email form here >  Apple - Support - Mac App Store - Contact Support
    But no guarantees.

  • HT204088 How come all our purchased were not deducted from the redeem card number entered yesterday and have deducted my credit card instead ?

My sun has entered like he always does his redeem card gift and purchased a sereis of song yesterday.  How come any of his purchased were deducted from his redeem card and were all charge to my credit card instead?  No amount are showing up under the my account name like usual.  Normally we see the total amount of our gift card and we are able to see that number dropped after each purchase...
Hope I will get some answers...

It looks like the only graphics card option for this model is the GeForce GT 630 (2 GB). The GT 630 is not a large powerful card, so it is conceivable that the bracket isn't installed with integrated graphics or a low-end graphics card that doesn't require it. The "graphics card bracket" would mosr likely be installed with larger more powerful cards like the GeForce GTX680, Radeon HD7770, etc. Typically, the videos on HPs website are used for hundreds of different models and may show optional items not installed on a particular computer or may not show items that are installed. Just because a part is or isn't shown in the video, doesn't mean your specific computer is going to be the same.

  • Can I purchase with a credit card instead of my Apple ID balance?

Can I pay for a purchase in the iTunes store with a credit card instead of my Apple ID balance? I want to take advantage of a credit card promotion.

If you can gift that specific item to yourself, do so. If not, no.

I purchased an app last night but instead of deducxting the credit from my itunes gift card balance, it charged my credit card instead.  Why? (I don't live in Canada)

I've seen this question a dozen times, and nearly every time, the first person to answer assumes it was a gifted purchase. Weird.
Same problem here. Books are going to credit card despite sufficient balance on iTunes credit. Seems to be a common problem.

  • HT1918 How do I get iTunes to charge my credit card instead of using up my apple credit balance?

My credit card is offering me a $5 statement credit if I spend at least $5 on iTunes.  Problem is I have a large credit balance - how can I get iTunes to charge my credit card instead of using up my apple credit?

If you have a balance on your iTunes account then that will automatically be used for purchases before your credit card will be - you can't change how items are billed.
You could try gifting items to yourself, you can only gift via a credit card (I haven't tried it but I think that you should be able to gift items to yourself)

  • Paying for itunes with a credit card instead of gift card

I currently have $ on an itunes gift card and this gift card's balance is on my itunes.  I got an email from Am. Ex. that if I use $5.00 on my credit card on itunes, I GET $5.00 for itunes.  Problem is, every time I download a song it comes off my gift card balance.  How do I change to the Am Ex credit card on file to pay for my songs instead of the gift card?

Really late on this, but just in case anyone has this question: anytime you "gift" something on the itunes store to someone else, it charges your credit card instead of your gift card. Simply send the "gift" to your own email (perhaps not associated with your apple ID) and then just redeem the code it sends you in your itunes account

  • Paying a vendor with Credit Card instead of check and specifying so in Orac

    Hello,
We are going to start paying some of our vendors in Accounts Payable via American Express credit card instead of generating a check. What is the best way to reflect this in Oracle? Now, we pay via check and it is specified in the AP records. Instead, we want to pay via CC and specify that we did so in the AP record.

Would you maybe be getting a credit card transaction data file format from American Express? Oracle does provide a loader program for the American Express KR-1025 format. After you load the credit card transaction data, then you validate the data. Once validated, employees can enter these credit card transactions on expenrse reports. Though this does not sound like an expense report situation, so perhaps this won't work out for you. So another possibility would be to handle this like a manual payment process. As mentioned in another post, you could look at another payment document type. So you have some choices here. Make sense?

  • Pay with Credit Card Instead of Gift Card?

I have already credited my iTunes account with a gift card and there is still a balance on it. Is there any way that I can choose to pay with my credit card instead of my gift card balance? Thanks for any help!

That's unfortunate. Is there any way that I can temporarily clear my balance somehow? American Express is doing a promotion for free songs on iTunes but you have to pay with your AmEx card in order to get the songs for free. So, if I currently have a gift card balance then I would have to burn through that first in order for iTunes to charge my AmEx. Any one have any experience trying to do this?

How can I use in app purchase without credit card using account balance

    Hi Kaijinfromtx,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
When you make an In App Purchase, the iTunes Store should use any gift balance or account credit first. You may still be asked to verify the payment information on your account before completing the purchase.

  • My purchases are being taken off credit card instead of my iTunes credit...why ?? How do I stop this as I have £15 iTunes credit

I have just redeemed my iTunes voucher so have £15 credit but when I purchased music it was taken from my credit card and not my available credit from iTunes! Having read other duscussions I understand all purchases should first be taken from all redeemed vouchers before credit card so why is this not the case with me? I thought maybe I should try to redeem the voucher again just to ensure I have the credit but understandably it says I have already redeemed. Please help.

  • HT2736 gifted apps billing credit card instead of iTunes ballance

I have recently gifted apps to my boyfried and sister, but instead of taking the money out of my remaining balance, iTunes keeps charging my credit card. Is there a way I can fix this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Gifts can only be purchased with a credit card.

  • Pay for in app purchase with itunes card instead of my credit card.

I have a current debit card on my iTunes account  which has no money in the account. i have recently purchased a iTunes gift card and want to buy in app item but don't want it charged to the account with no money in it. If i go ahead and redeem it and make the purchase, will it take the money from my iTunes account or my Credit card? If so how i could i change it otherwise?

It'll take the money from the gift card's balance automatically if allowed for that specific purchase. You don't have any control over whether or not it'll be allowed.

  • Can I switch my Apple ID on the same device and purchase software with my other ID that has a different credit card (or iTunes redeemed points) and then switch back to another user ID?

I have an iPad with an ID that is associated with 1 credit card but I don't wan't to use that credit card to make puchases.  Can I switch to a different user ID and make puchases on a different credit card and/or iTunes redeemed points and then switch back to my original ID (before the 90 days wait period us up)?
