HT2737 Error: The code you entered has already been used
Hi everyone,
When attempting to redeem an itunes gift code on my iPhone (a code which was received via email from the iTunes Store, a birthday gift from a close friend), I receive the error message above even though i've never redeemed this code before.
What should I do?

I had exact same problem... not sure why this happens.
In my case I sent a gift song from iTunes Store from the U.S. to someone in another country. The person attempted to redeem the gift song on his iTunes (also tried to redeem on iPhone) and received that same error. The code was never redeemed before.
It looks like there are restrictions when sending gifts from iTunes Sotres from/to different countries.
Well, since I never found a solution for this problem, I assume that possible was the problem.

Is the store that you bought it from close so that you could try going back to them and ask them to activate the card properly ? Redeemed the iTunes gift card it gave an error: The gift certificate or prepaid card code you entered has not been properly activated.
do you have the receipt from where you bought it? If so take it back and see what they will do for you.

Is the store that you bought the card from nearby so that you can try going back and asking if they can activate the card properly ? Anyone else getting this when trying to update their apps description on iTunes Connect?I get this error, too, and have been getting it since my app launched (about 2 weeks ago). My first email to [email protected] was met with a "We're working on it" reply, but they have been ignoring me since. Pretty frustrating.

If you are having issues redeeming your gift card, the following article will help:
iTunes Store: Invalid, inactive, or illegible codes
If you're still unable to redeem your code after verifying the characters in the code, you'll need to contact iTunes Store Support for help. You'll need to provide a digital image of the front and back of the gift card as well as the sales receipt for the purchase of the gift card.
Contacting iTunes Store Support
Go to the iTunes support page and select your iTunes country.
From the iTunes support page, choose Contact Support on the lower-left side of the page.
Follow the instructions to get iTunes Store support assistance.
