What if part of the song is playing, but then nothing? The progress bar is moving still, but no sound, then what do I do?
I purchased several songs recently from ITunes. Most of the songs work properly, but its a few of them that won't play the entire song. So again, what can i do?

I rented a movie and it's totally downloaded, but when I play it there's no sound or picture (though the progress bar is moving and time is coming off the movie like it's trying to play). Help!

When attempting to install ios5 on my iPod touch , iTunes starts to backup but doesn't get anywhere and the progress bar just keeps going from left to right, any ideas please as to what I can do? Thanks
Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to your computer.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then try again.

Songs are "playing" but no sound?

I have an iPhone 4s running IOS 7.0.4 and running spotifz version 0.9.3.212. Some songs play fine in my playlist but others are "playing" but there is no sound. Like I said this happens on random songs. Inheritly, when I try to play the song that is malfunctioning online using the phone (going to the artist's page) the same problem occurs (probably because spotify is trying to play the local file).
Any idea what's going on?
thanks for your help!@AndrewAbo - it is correct that the "no sound" issue is all over the community here. You would normally assume that the Spotify development team would pay attention to such a critical issue that so many users encounter.
My suggestion to anyone would be to log this issue through this link so the issue will get on the radar. For now, it is trying to get used to skipping tracks each time at random the playlist stops playing. -

Are you using WiFi? if you are this will take a long time, switching to a wired connection will go much faster but as you have started I would not change now. -
A fraction of the progress bar has filled up and won't go any further. What should I do? What is wrong with it? It is not my internet connection as I have downloaded three games off Steam today perfectly. I have also checked the specs and they're fine.
Check the Purchases tab in the App Store. If it shows a Resume button, click on it. It should also show the progress there.

I have a Mac Pro tower am running OSX and iTunes will not work. It has always worked flawlessly. I can see all my iTunes content- my playlists, my songs et cetera, But I cannot play anything. The progress bar is 'stuck'...any suggestions?
Thanks. I have been using iTunes since its inception and have never had a problem...I'm using the latest version. The progress bar is the bar that moves when you're playing a song..it just won't start when I double click on a song,..have tried quitting, rebooting etc but nothing works. Apple are useless-they have told me twice they've tried to call me 'momentarily', but I've been waiting by the phone, and they definitely have not tried to call...

Hello, my name is Todd, I recently dowloaded PS CC 2014. I have used PS for decades. The crop tool will show the progress bar, then at about 25% it will totally stop, even on VERY small 72dpi images. What can I do? Thanks!
Double check all the settings in the crop tool, and make sure you aren't telling it to create a HUGE image as a result of your settings.

When I try to play an album from my library, the first song will play, but then it jumps to a different album. iTunes is also splitting up certain albums like sound tracks. any help?
I'm thinking you sync to your computer over Wi-Fi, if correct, switch to sync when connected to iTunes, turn off sync over Wi-Fi. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

Audio stops after the first song, iTunes keeps playing but no sound
So if I play anything - the entire library - podcast - or playlist. A few songs (between 1 to 3 songs) will play, but as soon as the song is done and it goes to another song the audio stops. I have Airport express through the house and it stops as well - so it's not the speakers.
If i hit pause then play.. the audio is on again. I can get it to play by selecting a new song as well.
It's pretty annoying.
If I let like 20 songs play all of a sudden on a random song that starts - the audio will come back for 1 song.
Anyone else have this type of issue?Bumping to top again.
This has really become a terminal problem. Can't play more than a song without having to touch the system to bump back to the beginning of the track, where it plays fine. This can't be limited to my system only--any ideas or thoughts guys?

My phone goes silent mid song. It shows the song is still playing but no sound. If I try to turn the volume up its grayed out...how do I fix this?
try doing a soft reset. push and hold the home button and power button at the same time until the phone powers off completely. only release the buttons when you see the white apple pop back up on the screen if this doesn't work you will likely have to do a complete factory reset which can be found in general settings of the phone. hope this helps!

I have just switched on my new 5s and gone through the intro sections. After entering my apple id, I selected the icloud update I wanted it to use (from my 4s). It is now stuck on the progress bar screen and has been for hours. Can I get it back to the original settings? I want to set it up as a new phone, until I can get on to a better wi-fi signal. Any help would be great.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
