HT2801 Why won't Windows 7 recognize the super drive?

Why won't windows 7 recognize the super drive? I have set up and it was working yesterday. I added a usb hup and a HDMI - Vga adapter to run two moniters? When I booted everything up again I found out that windows would not reconize the super drive. When I an running OS X, I have know issues.

I recently upgraded my pc to Win7...which is fine except that I cannot install PSE 4.0. I tried using the 'older windows version' feature of Win7, but my pc won't even read the CD! Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Why won't Windows 8 recognize my nano

I have a new gen7 nano that is not recognized by my computer. I am running Windows 8 on my computer. I uninstalled and then reinstalled itunes and have tried plugging into each of the usb ports in my computer. My husband was able to open the nano on his computer, but the music I want is on mine!! Any ideas or suggestions for what to try next?

Is iTunes saying that an ipod has been detected but could not be identified properly? Or is something a bit different going on?

I have received 3 different DVD's from this photographer in an effort for me to be able to view my pictures. None of them work!! She has now given me a cd and it works fine!?!!? Why won't my Mac recognize the DVDs??

A friend of mine turns out a lot of DVD's for and organization that he does photo work for and he has found
that burning DVD + or - can make a diferance along with the age of the player and he has gone back to
burning them at the slowest speed possible. (people in the organization sends him old pictures that he fixes
then burnes a DVD for them and returnes the pictures and DVD.)

Windows dvd maker does not recognize the dvd drive in this computer

I have windows 7 release candidate on my old desktop and this newish notebook. Windows DVD maker works fine on the desktop but on this Lenovo 3000 N200 it will not recognize the built in dvd drive. I have checked with Device Manager and the software is up to date and the device is working normally. I can make DVD movies using a free program called DVD Flick. DVD Flick recognizes the DVD burner, so why won't Windows DVD Maker work??

My DVD failed to burn. What can I do?
Try one or more of the following:
Verify that the DVD burner is connected properly to your computer and powered on, and that any necessary software drivers for the DVD burner are installed. You can check your hardware settings in the Device Manager by doing the following:
1.
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2.
Click Hardware and Sound.
3.
Click Device Manager.
Make sure that the videos you're trying to burn are not corrupted. To see whether the videos you want to burn are corrupted, try playing or viewing them using Windows Media Player. If the files don't play using the Player, Windows DVD Maker cannot burn them.
Choose a slower burning speed for your DVD burner by doing the following:
1.
Return to the Add pictures and video to the DVD page, and then click Options.
2.
In the DVD burner speed box, select Medium or Slow.

I uninstalled DVD Flick and followed the steps above but no luck.....any other ideas??? Apart from the fact that Windows DVD Maker SHOULD work I find it extra annoying because I think it is a very good program....it's better than DVD Flick, and besides not wanting to fork out money I would prefer to have nothing to do with programs like Nero.

when I click dvd burner I select videos 2 burn.....videos I can watch on windows media player. After selecting the slowest burn speed I click on ''burn'' just like I do on my 7 year old desktop (which will then burn a dvd movie). But on this notebook I get a little window......''windows dvd maker''. It reads ''dvd burner not found. A dvd burner was not found. Make sure a dvd burner is connected and installed then try again.'' How useless is that???!!! I find it hard to believe this problem cannot be solved. Also I don't believe I can make the problem any clearer!!! 1. Update iTunes to the latest version. Plug in your iPod. If iTunes still can't recognize it, then in iTunes in the top left corner click help> run diagnostics. On the box that comes up, check the last two things. Click next and it should identify your iPod.
2. Click on your windows start menu. Type in "services". Click on it and when it pops up, on the bottom of it click on "standard". Now Scroll down to find "Apple Mobile Device" Right click it when you see it and click on "Start". When it has started, close iTunes and replug in your iPod and it should show up.
3. Check the USB cable
4. Verify that Apple Mobile Device Support is installed
5. Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service and verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed.
6. You can use some third party software like this iPod file transfer, it can help you copy files from iPod to computer, and then you can use iTunes to sync the music to your iPad mini.
7. Check for third-party software conflicts.

I've just completed a 140 minute project in FCP. I've encoded an MPEG2 file that is 5.75GB in size. Brought into DVDSP and am trying to burn the DVD.
I have Final Cut Studio 1, latest updates and everything.
Because of the 5.75GB size I need to burn to Dual Layer DVD. I have Verbatim 4x 8.56GB dual layer DVDs.
When I click buld/burn and pop in a dual layer DVD I get an error saying "please insert compatible disc".
Even with every app closed. If I put one of these DVDs in my Mac it simply spits it out after about 20 seconds.
For some reason the Mac won't handle or understand these Dual Layer DVDs.
I bought this Mac Pro about 4 months ago and it is the 2 x 2.66Ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon machine and the DVD drive (according to system profiler) is a Pioneer DVD-RW DVD-111D. In system profiler it says "Pioneer DVD-RW DVD-111D"
Can anyone tell me if this DVD player is actually capable of dual layer, or do I need to buy one.
In System Profiler under Revision it says: AB09 and under Protocol it says: ATAPI
Can anyone advise please?

If you have access to a pc into which you can install the 112, or if you have bootcamp, you can replace the Apple supplied firmware with Pioneer firmware. This should restore full functionality to the drive. Why won't iTunes Store adopt the Google approach of no questions asked refunds within 15 mins if you aren't happy with an app? I have countless apps that I have lost money purchasing because after installation they don't do what I want.

It either A) shows me a white screen where the store should be, B) shows me the white screen with iTunes Store written in the middle or C) actually shows me the store, but as though it can't read all the sophisticated coding and wants to convert it into just plain ol' HTML.
