The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11.0. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library. Note that, as with the iTunes feature, this list makes no distinction between "originals" and "dupes", you have to decide which is which.
There is also my DeDuper script for automatically removing duplicate copies but keeping one remaining copy of each set. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send the others to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file. Same advice to backup applies.

Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as lost ratings and playlist membership.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background, this post for detailed instructions, and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.
(If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to show it temporarily or CTRL+B to keep it displayed.)
The most recent version of the script can tidy dead links as long as there is at least one live duplicate to merge stats and playlist membership to. There are other ways to deal with deal links alone, but those won't preserve that information.

I agree, this is one thing that is definitely fubar'd about this version. I suspect it will be brought back in an update sooner rather than later since it is pretty much a necessity. At least for libraries stored locally. For libraries stored in iCloud, maybe not so much.
I don't know about you, but I will never use that service or any service like. I will not be streaming my media to use it, ever. My connection isn't that fast and with badnwidth caps from ISP's, it makes no sense at all.

How to show iPod in iTunes

Hello,
I recently asked my daughter to move iTunes to another computer in our home. Easy enough, downloaded, installed, but we ran into problems with getting her iPod to "show" in iTunes. She purchased a song and went to add it to her iPod and there doesn't seem to be any way to do this. So, we went back to the first computer to add the newly purchased song, but it doesn't show in that "purchased" list.
So, how do we get the second computer to recognize her iPod? I know it's there because the computer recognizes it, it just doesn't show up in iTunes.

That's because it was physically downloaded to the other computer, it's not on a list available to other PCs. If you want a song download on one computer to be available on another you have to copy the file over: iTunes for Windows: How to copy purchases between authorized computers

1. I have removed Distinct in advance tab in report.
2. In rpd unchecked the distinct supported.

jan-08 customer 001 amount 100 ?
What is the aggreagation for amount?
If it is sum then it shoud be 200 for amount.
is there a column in your table that is different for those 2 lines with jan-08 customer 001 amount 100 like an ID or something?
if yes then add that id in you dimmension table and then in your report.
In this case you will get those 2 lines.
There is another way but I know it shoudn't be used. To set none for aggregation rule.

Apple has removed that feature along with several others, but

Until then you will have to resort to sorting by a particular label such as artist and manually scanning, third party utilities such as Dougscripts Dupin (Mac) or https://discussions.apple.com/message/20570956 (Windows) to deal with duplicates, or revert back to iTunes 10.7.

The simplest thing may be to back-up and then restore the iPhone. If you don't fancy that then remove all media that is currently synced to it, then double check and manually remove any media that remains on the device, before reselecting your sync options.
If you've been manually managing the device and your library doesn't contain copies of all your media then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
