HT2928 my phone isn't picking up my brand new sensor

My iphone 4 isn't picking up my brand new sensor to use with nike+. It wasn't pickinp up my old one and i just assumed that it was time to replace it. I don't know what to do.

As far as i know, Nike+ on the iPhone doesn't require a sensor. It uses the phone's built in accelerometer.

If it's grayed out:
Reset Network Settings - if that doesn't fix it, then Backup and Restore AS A NEW DEVICE.
If it's still grayed out, unfortunately that means your Wi-Fi antenna quit, and it needs service.

You can't use the remote app to setup a network. If your physical remote isn't working you will need borrow another or purchase a replacement.

Email signature isn't picking up correct iphone name?

I've just got my iphone and use it to send email via a Yahoo account. Recipients get the usual "sent from my iphone" message, but then they get my name too which is miss-spelt. It isn't picking up the phone name you can edit simply in itunes, instead it has come up with something entirely different which I can't find anywhere in a menu to edit. Can anyone help?

Thanks, I checked and I don't think it is that. I have a yahoo signature set up when I mail from the laptop and this is fine. I didn't set one up on the iphone, it just appeared automatically. When I go in to signature under settings on the iphone it only shows "sent from my iphone". My name doesn't show at all, however it is still appearing (miss-spelt) when people receive email from me sent via the phone. I am perplexed!

It sounds like Siri is not hearing you when you are trying to dictate to it. I wanted to recommend a few things for you here if the issue does not occur with other apps such as Voice Memos. First, turn Siri off in the iPhone settings:
To set options for Siri, go to Settings > General > Siri. Options include:
Turning Siri on or off

Then close all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone and turn Siri back on and test the issue again:

Are you sharing an apple id with someone? that would be the only reason if would merged info.

i have an iPhone 4s and a windows 8 computer. for awhile now my phone hasn't been recognized or has synced to iTunes. the icon won't show at the top right when i plug my phone in,but my cord works perfectly fine. i even try to sync the music ive gotten from my itunes through the file area below, but it doesn't work. also when i go into my windows folders to see the devices connected, it shows my iPhone that shows below. The SMS links thing is highly annoying. You don't have to copy/paste however. You should see an icon like this: (>) to the right of the text bubble with the link. Tap on that, the in the screen that opens, tap "Visit".
Alternatively, you can tap twice directly on the link, then hold your finger down after the second tap.
Still unnecessarily difficult, but not as bad as copy/paste.
What I don't get is why can't I find any mention of this change or how to fix it (if even possible) elsewhere online?

Ok thank you so much! Although I ended up taking the sim card out of my new Iphone and reinserting it into my old one it finally let me restore it! So thanks once again this really helped!

Note 3 lollipop update 5.0 erased my sd card. Phone does not pick it up as if no sd card is available.

Unfortunately you are not alone. While I got through without problem, other users of Samsung phones have reported the same problem.
reformatting sometimes fixes the card, but anything stored on it is gone.
a Bit late, but the recommendation is to remove an SD card before updating.
