HT3079 Can the wireless mouse battery be recharged instead of purchasing a new one?

I have a wireless mouse and the battery has lasted for 3 years since its purchase.  Just wondering if the battery can be recharged instead of spending $30+ for a new one.

If the batteries are rechargeable, you can recharge them instead of buying new ones (the batteries that come with the Magic Mouse are not rechargeable). However, if they are not rechargeable, you will have to buy batteries for the Magic Mouse

  • TS1398 My wireless router failed and I had to purchase a new one. My security on the new one will not allow me to use the same password. I entered a new password, but of course it is not on my ipod or ipad mini . How can I enter new password ?

    My wireless router in my home has failed. I purchased a new router, but it will not allow some of the characters which I used for my old password. Therefore I cannot access the internet with my ipad mini or my ipod touch. I am unable to change the password on either device. How do I go about changing the password on these units so that I can access the internet? Thanks

  • Hubby has iPad with purchased games. I just got a mini iPad. Using iCloud and wifi can I get his games onto mini?  Just purchased a new one and downloaded on both.

    hubby has an iPad with purchased games. I just got a mini and would like to have these same games without having to pay again. We just purchased a new game that downloaded to both. Can I get his existing games on my mini?  iCloud activated and wifi was used when we got new game.

    Yes, you can get those games on your iPad Mini.
    Sign into the iTunes and App Store section of the Settings with the same Apple ID used to buy those games. Then go to the App Store and click "Updates" and then "Purchases" and you should see the games your hubby bought with his device.
    Hope that helps!

  • HT204387 Can a wireless mouse be used with the new IPAD?

    Can a wireless mouse be uses with the new iPad?

    While it is true that mice or other pointing device like track pads are not supported on the iPad since there is no real pointer, I use a stylus pen. I know it would probably tip over the iPad if you are standing it up, but it's the closest I've seen. I use the Wacom Bamboo stylus and a Zagg keyboard and the case for the iPad and keyboard. I use the stylus a lot on the Paper app to take notes in meetings and such. Not really a solution but if you are trying to move an insertion point in a document, it does work.

  • How can I access applications if the wireless mouse does NOT work?

    I have a new iMac (Snow Leopard) which comes with a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse. Just in case that the wireless mouse does not work, how can I navigate through applications and the screen?
    Any advice will be welcome. Thanks and cheers, Veit

    Great, it works.
    Let me replicate:
    Shift-Command-A (on the Desktop, (but how to get there?) to open Apps, e.g System Preferences;
    Arrow keys to navigate within Apps;
    Command-down arrow to open a specific app;
    Arrows to move around, e.g. to Magic Mouse
    Space to open Magic Mouse;
    Tab to move between options and arrows to change these; and Tab back to the back icon.
    Thanks a lot to both of you, much appreciated your help. Cheers, Veit

  • 21" Imac suddenly stopped finding the wireless mouse (with new batteries)

    Despite my changing the batteries in the wireless mouse, and despite the fact that the Bluetooth is working with my wireless keyboard, I can't get the IMac to recognise and connect with the wireless mouse. Any ideas?

    Hi Steve,
    I just started having the same problem with my mouse. First it started not waking the computer. Today even the space bar wouldn't wake the computer. But I'm more concerned with reconnecting with the mouse. How did you delete the mouse in the Bluetooth devices list? I can't seem to delete it. Is it because I have a USB mouse plugged in until I fix the wireless one? I doubt that has anything to do with it. It sounds like your fix worked, but I can't delete the mouse. Help! Jeri

  • What's up with the wireless mouse?

    This is my first Mac and so far am very impressed with the features and ease of use. My only complaint so far is the wireless mouse. I find it very imprecise and the curser tends to dart across the screen for no apparent reason. I have played with the sensitivity settings and the batteries came in the same package as the ones being used in the keyboard, which works fine. Is this common with the wireless mouse and is there anything that can be done to fix this?

    I'm inclined to believe the problem resides with the surface that the mouse is on.
    Optical mice can be very picky about the surface.
    If you're not already... try to use a surface that is a single, non-reflective, dark color. Avoid woodgrain, anything shiny, or anything with an irregular pattern.
    My woodgrain desktop used to drive my optical mouse nuts. I now use a sheet of black paper under the mouse, and it works like a charm.

  • The wireless keyboards battery cap has stuck

    I have an iMAC with a wireless keyboard.
    The wireless keyboards battery cap has stuck. I have tried opening it with screwdrivers, coins and even spoon handles but nothing can open this.
    This was purchased under 1 year ago. I called the company that supplied the product (Jigsaw24.com) and they said they will not fix the issue or replace the item without me incurring charges. Surely this item is still covered under the standard Apple Care Warranty or even covered under their company warranty? The cap is still running flush with the end of the keyboard and has not been forced. If i'm not able to access the battery compartment and change the batteries this item is useless.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Can the wireless card in my mac wear out and slow down internet connection??

    can the wireless card in my mac wear out and slow down internet connection??

    Yes the WiFi card can wear out but not what you would really call wearing out like a pair of pants do. It can start to fail causing the connection between your computer and your Wifi router to slow down, IE transmit and receive less data in a given time period. And then it will fail completely.
    But as to your internet connection being affected by a failing WiFi card no that can't happen.
    If you turn the WiFi off and connect the computer to your router with an Ethernet cable does your internet browsing and downloading speed increase? If it does then there may be something wrong with the WiFi card in your computer or the WiFi section of your router. Hard to say which.
    If after connecting the computer to your router with an Ethernet cable and your speeds do not increase then it is a problem with the router or on your ISPs end.

    No, neither the first nor the second gen iPad supports a mouse - there is no cursor for a mouse to control, all you have on the iPad is an insertion point when entering or amending text

  • Downloaded Mountain Lion on my iMac.  Why is it so slow opening up from sleep and taking so long for the wireless mouse to engage?

    Downloaded Mountain Lion on my iMac.  Why is it so slow opening up from sleep and taking so long for the wireless mouse to engage?

    Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
