HT3205 Green light flashing on and off every second
What is indicated by the green light on the charger going off and on every second?
Usually it is a charger or battery issue.
Try a SMC reset:

Use the method which applies to your Mac, a battery you should remove (most likely)
You can also check the battery status by clicking on the Apple logo and About This Mac, More info or system profile (depending on which oSX you are using as it is not in your profile) Power in the left side bar and check battery health and other stats.

Appreciate any helpHi having the same problem with iMac 17 isight. Will not startup and only the white light flashes on and off. No sound. Removed front cover and tried start and same results, but I could see that the fans would sort of shake as the light flashed. Tried replacing the power supply and the same results. Can't us the AHS application, because the computer can't startup. Anyone with an idea?

Digital (optical) audio jerks on and off every second or so
Sudenly got this annoying problem, when sound on optical audio cuts off and on again repeatedly every second or so. As if there was a wire with bad connection. The optical cable is fine thou, i checked with my other macbook.
So that must be a problem with my main macbook. I restarted it in hope that its just a software glirch, but the problem remains.
Sound from MBs speakers ir fine.
What to do?Now there is no sound at all. When i connect optical toslink there is no sound. When i connect usual 3.5mm jack to analog system, it sounds ok.
I can see the red light, but there is no sound. What could it be? Software or hardware problem? -
Can anyone help me get my Apple TV display to stop blinking on and off every second?

My Apple TV is a little under a year old its not version 1 I'm pretty sure it's 2... When I started it up the other night it came on but the display in the screen was blinking on and off about one a second non stop. The white light on the Apple TV is solid white. I was behind an update so I updated it using restore and when it came back on the display is still blinking on and off. When I restart it, the initial apple logo comes on solid which gave me hope but once it transitions to the initial menu screen it starts blinking again. Anyone have a solution?

A couple more things I should add. Everything else plugged into the plasma screen works fine, Xbox, satellite, wii etc...and I did change hdmi cables with the Xbox and the Xbox still worked fine and the Apple TV continues to blink on and off on screen.

ahhhh help!
you can switch off the automatic lighting of the keyboard by going to system preferences then keyboard and uncheck 'automatically illuminate keyboard in low light' . after this you can control your keyboard light by using the buttons F5 and F6 at the top of your keyboard

Does any one have the same problem with their MacBook Pro i5 Intel Dual Core? If the computer goes to sleep (not the screen) and is asleep for a while, when I try to wake it up it doesn't respond. I have to power it downn and restart it and sometimes it takes two or three attempts. Otherwise it works fine. I upgraded the memory to 8 GB. That is the only alteration doen to it. I've performed one SMC restart and now it wakes up but it takes a while and a gray screen shows up. When I insert a DVD it won't start automatically I have to start the application in order to see it. Any suggestions?

Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network. -
The apple symbol keeps flashing on and off and won't reboot
I dropped my phone and now it won't start and when i plug it in all i get is the apple symbol flashing on and off every few seconds??

The right side of my menu bar flashes on and off every few seconds. It's there for a second or two then disappears for a second or two. Is there a way I can get this to stop?
It did this when I first got my MBP a few weeks ago and simply opening an app fixed it, now it just keeps flashing on and off.
Thanksthis means that SystemUIServer keeps crashing. delete the file
/users/username/library/preferences/com.apple.systemuiserver.plist and run the following terminal command

Could be an early retirement problem. There is no fixed lifespan for anything, as you know. Find a friend with a keyboard and test that in your machine. That will show if it is your keyboard or your computer. We can progress from there.

What indicator do you mean exactly?
The DC indicator (first from left) glows green when the power is being correctly supplied from AC adaptor. If the output voltage is abnormal or if the computers power supply malfunctions this indicator will go OFF.
The other indicator (power led second from left) glows green when the computer is turned on. If you turn the computer off into sleep, this LED starts flashing amber.
Furthermore if there is a memory malfunction the Power LED will repeatedly flash
On for 0.5 sec and off 0.5 sec
If there is an issue with slot A the LED flashes amber twice then green once
If there is an error in slot B, the LED flashes amber once then green twice
If there is error in slot A and B the LED flashes twice amber and green.
But if the power LED flashes only green, I assume there is a motherboard problem. -
My apple tv box no longer turns on, the white light constantly flashes on and off but no signal to my tv. All devices still pick up airplay but not actually playing. Restoring the box has made no difference, any clues?!
Was the restore done via iTunes?

Hi my iphone 4 home screen keeps flashing on and off repeatdly. I will beonmy phone or in an app and it will go to a black screen and then light up to the home screen. Then the power off option will pop up. I have tried letting it die and recharging it and powering it off neither worked. Does any one have an idea on what this could be or what I can do?
If the Slide to Power Off option is coming up, that suggests your power button isn't working correctly and is sticking.
Best thing to do is bring the phone to an Apple store (make an appointment first) and have a Genius take a look at it.

I am having problems with my macbook pro and the dock. About every fourth time I start the computer, the dock flashes on and off, then goes completely off and all I get is the spinning ball with brief moments of the cursor. But the computer locks up.
Do you have Parallels installed by any chance? There is a known problem that causes symptoms similar to this. You do not need to actually be running Parallels at the time and nothing in ActivityMonitor would point to Parallels. An update corrects the problem:
