You cannot install the HDCP in computers (it is not a S/w related issue)... it is something to do with the content and Hardware hand shaking..The content what you would like to display will have encryption and it carries sets of private keys which has to be negociated with the external hardware which connects to the Mac book or iPads digital outputs like MDP, HDMI/DVID adaptors.. let say if you have an external display and you are trying to connect your apple devices, first the private key from the content will do a kind of hand shake to the connected display to check whether it is a HDCP complaint display or not... basically it checks whether is there a way that the externally connected device can convert the video/any content to an analog format to prevent from recording/copying to make pirated copies... so once it verifies that the display doesnt have any analog output / noway to remove the encryption, then the display will respond back to the source saying that the display is complaint to HDCP and it doesnt revoke the encryptions.. Then after that only the source will start to give you an output to the connected devices.. or else you will get an error message saying the the connected display is not complaince to the HDCP..

As far as I have understood it you can install PP on as many computers as you like, but only two can be active at the same time. So if you have installed it on just one computer you should have no problems installing it on a second one. How can I install Reader on a computer with no internet?

I have an old Dell laptop with XP on it. It can not hook up to the internet. I want to put Reader on it so I can use the laptop to open shop manuals I have that are Adobe (PDF) files. I've tried several times to download different versions of reader (on my new computer which I then put on a thumb drive) and it tries to install them but eventually towards the end seeks to connect to the internet to look for updates or whatever. There must be a way to download a copy of reader (probably an older version like 9) on my new laptop so I can copy the file to the old laptop and install it without the program needing to go to the internet for something. HOW???

When it gets to the end, a window opens that says "downloading MSI update..." which of course it can't since that computer will NOT connect to the internet (this is an old Dell 600 with XP unknown service pack on it). Then I get the error window: "Adobe bootstrapper for single installation has encountered a problem and needs to close" which stops the installation. Then another window with "error code 150210". This is what happens every time with every downloaded version of Adobe reader I've tried. Any other suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

How can I install Adobe Photoshop Elements Update 9.0.3 after I get a message that Installation has failed and the solution is not in troubleshooting or forums?

My Photoshop Elements 9 stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When I clicked the PSE button nothing happened. I tried this several times over a few days and it still failed. I uninstalled the program and re-installed it. It worked well. Then I tried to install the Update 9.0.3. The download was almost successful. When it was about to show 100% successful for the download, an error message said the installation had failed and that I should try later. I tried this many times over a few days and the same result occurred. I tried troubleshooting and the answers to questions, but I could not find an answer. I don't know where to go to see if anybody has answered my question. How can I install Update 9.0.3?

I downloaded Reader 11, but at no point during the installation process am I prompted for an installation location. How can I install this to a drive other than the C:\? I keep my C:\ and data storage drive separate so in the event the OS crashes I won't lose my data. I have limited storage capacity since I'm on a laptop so I didn't make my C:\ very large, so that I would have more room for my D:\. Any suggestions?

having data on a different drive is a good idea. installing programs on a drive different from you os containing drive is generally not a good idea. but if you have the expertise and are sure of what you're doing:

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

As eww said, that computer isn't specifically made for gaming. To get advanced graphics in a game, your computer needs what is called a "discrete" graphics processor, or GPU. This means a seperate chip that processes graphics. In Apple laptops, these are only found in the 15" and 17" MacBook Pro. It is not common to find these in laptops in general that are not expensive and high-end. What you have in yours is an "on-board" or "integrated" GPU. This means that graphics processing is done by a small portion of your main processor (the Intel i5 board). This takes away a portion of primary prossessing and dedicates it to graphics. This works perfectly find in most scenarios, but video rendering, gaming, and 3-D graphics tend to suffer. Most high-end, modern games require discrete GPUs to run at full quality these days.
As far as running Windows 7 and Mac OS both, yes you absolutely can. If you install Windows 7 via Bootcamp (this would require you to have a Windows 7 CD), when you turn on your computer it will default to opening up in Mac OS. But if you hold down the Option key (bottom of the keyboard next to the Command button) while the computer is booting up, it will ask you if you want to open Windows or Mac OS.

I'm assuming your dvd drive is broken? if you have a thumb drive large enough (8GB or better), you can use another computer to make a bootable image from the install dvd to the thumb drive. then you can install from the the thumb drive.
